- You have seriously got to be trolling right now. This dude has been nothing but respectful to you, peacefully offering his point of view and asking questions to better understand characters, and all you're doing is acting like he said fat people should go die in a ditch somewhere.
- As someone who has strugged with his own weight and self image, it's a completely horrible message to tell people that it's fine to be fat. I was right on the tipping point between overweight and obese back in high school, and I hated every minute of it. Not only does it involve numerous health issues that put lives at risk, such as higher rates of cancer, heart disease, blood clots, blood pressure, and stress levels, but there's also the self esteem issues that stem from being overweight. Being in gym class and seeing all your healthy friends able to run laps around the gym and play sports while you can barely even do one lap is terrible. Just that feeling of exclusion in itself, knowing that you can't be as active as everyone else because of your weight is horrible.
- Now that I'm a healthy weight, I feel much better in general. I feel lighter, I can actually do physical activity, my mood is much better, confidence is at an all time high. Having experienced both sides of the spectrum, I can safely say that being a lower weight (not anorexic or anything, but a normal healthy weight) is much better in general for people than being overweight. Should people be bullied for their weight? No, people shouldn't be bullied in general. But simply saying that overweight people are healthy is basically incorrect. By definition, overweight means that you are over the optimal weight.
- I'm simply sharing my point of view. I'm not trying to be hateful or anything. So before you go calling me an asshole and saying I'm an asshole or anything, compare your previous comments to the guy you were arguing with, and tell me who sounds like they're simply trying to explain their point of view, and who sounds like they're trying to start a fight.
