  1. [23:20] With that information; he picked up his weapon and went towards Vandureth.
  2.
  3. "Then I have no business with you; I'll let you believe what you want, but this has held me up from my coin. Anyways."
  4.
  5. He pulled his mask up, and lit a cig and puffed it a little.
  6.
  7. "Let's talk about this contract you have and the payment for it; I'd like to get started as soon as possible with this."
  8. (Havoc)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [23:31] Leading the young leader of the bandits into the nearby castle of Asphodel, they move to a table, and pull a seat out for them. Meanwhile Vandureth themselves simply... Floats behind the chair next to them.
  12.
  13. "As your friend has informed you. The payment you'll receive for this contract, upon completion, is twenty-thousand coins. To retrieve a... Well. For lack of better words. Cursed Artifact.
  14.
  15. The Dread Crown, to be exact. Ever heard of that little legend? If not. The name alone should tip you off immediately as to its nature in the hands of fleshlings.
  16.
  17. In fact, in its prime, the very reason where it is today, is because some fool attempted to place it upon his head in the assumption it would give any holder a power boost." they'd offer as an initial explanation regarding the item they so desired!
  18.
  19. "Earth split open, and swallowed an entire set of ruins for the transgression in that incident..." they'd chuckle.
  20.
  21. "So to be blunt, if you do accept this little... Adventure of sorts. Do not attempt to use the Crown yourself. It's suicidal. Anything else you might find, on the other hand, so long as it is not PART of the crown or its jewels, you may keep. Gold? Trinkets? Weapons? I desire none of them. All additional goodies are yours!
  22.
  23. I simply desire my Father's Crown that the inquisitorial ingrates so disgracefully confiscated so long ago..."
  24. (Vandureth)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [23:45] "Ah, she said something about an artificer or something crazy like that. I'm glad I'm getting the details now myself. It sounds like a tomb raid, and I'm excited for it plus twenty thousand coins once the job is complete? You've got yourself a deal, and so long as I give the White Falcon their cut they'd be more than willing to assist with this task."
  28.
  29. Havoc leaned back in his chair and looked at the spirit with a smile.
  30.
  31. "Well, I need a time, date, and place so we can properly prepare for this you're talking about a cursed crown or something. It will likely be heavily guarded by different enchantments or whatever people use to keep stuff like that safe."
  32.
  33. Havoc blew out some of his smoke and chuckled.
  34.
  35. "Once we get all the details we'll be ready to head out, so get everything set up for us and come when you're ready. This will give everyone the proper time to prepare. I know I'm repeating myself, but if we're making that much money I don't wanna die before I collect it."
  36.
  37. Havoc would shake their hand, but he assumed they didn't have one...
  38.
  39. "Besides that is there anything you wanted to tell or I should know? I'll be sure to inform the others though I'm sure they are more than willing to fill their pockets with coins."
  40. (Havoc)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:55] The Helspawn gave a light chuckle, and then offered a wider grin.
  44.
  45. "Aah… Yes. It will most definitely be guarded. If not by some self-righteous type who thinks they're guarding it for a greater good? Who knows, really. But that's always part of the fun, now isn't it?
  46.
  47. Prepare yourselves the best you can in the meantime. I shall set up the excavation, and finish a small bout of research regarding Seals. Just in case."
  48.
  49. To finally be a Prince with a Crown. That was all this Spirit really cared about in this case. Even if their 'Father' reprimanded them for taking it for themselves down the line.
  50.
  51. "As for things you should know? Given the nature of the Crown. It may have been made home to a Coven of Witches. Or an encampment of those that desire it remain sealed within the tomb it created for those aforementioned buffoons that tried to use it.
  52.
  53. And that's not to mention, there could be any number of nasties dwelling in the belly of that collapsed site. Demons? Hostile Ogres? Who knows! But be aware. This will be a particularly dangerous trip."
  54. (Vandureth)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [00:02] "Alright, so we'll likely have to kill something. I guess the coin will be well earned. We'll be prepared and have our bags packed when you give us the okay to go. I'm looking forward to it. This could be rather fun and offer a lot of promising rewards."
  58.
  59. Havoc smiled thinking about the riches they'd find in that place.
  60.
  61. "Again you have yourself a deal; we'll be ready when you call us so just focus on getting us there. I assume we're getting paid after it's all said and done?"
  62.
  63. He shrugged.
  64.
  65. "Or is this one of those pay half now, and pay the other for a later kind of gig? I'm sure you're good for the coin you wouldn't offer unless you had it, but anyways..."
  66.
  67. He blew more smoke.
  68.
  69. "It seems easy enough I'll be waiting for the day we depart."
  70. (Havoc)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [00:10] The creature gave a soft hum at that notion. Half now half later? Whilst it had no immediate use for coinage...
  74.
  75. "I prefer protected investments, yes? I'm sure you understand the notions of such. As I've stated, normally, I do not have need of Coin.
  76.
  77. However! In something of a situation like this? I'd rather not dump the Coin, and then be swindled out of the object I am after... Even if it is of no use to mortal hands, there are definitely those that would seek it sealed away once more, after all."
  78.
  79. A dangerous artifact it was in the end. Though the Nethradin evidently believed themselves a better candidate to master it somehow. Brazen.
  80.
  81. "But I am definitely a being of my word. To prove I have the funds I promise-"
  82.
  83. They'd cut themselves off, reaching into their smoggy form, before producing a rather hefty bag coin, dropping it, and letting it slam onto the table- Cracking the wood incidentally underneath weight. Whoops.
  84.
  85. The top would be untied, to show off the currency within, before being sealed up again, where it would be grasped, and dragged back into the freakish mists of the Helspawn.
  86.
  87. "I'm sure this will be a lovely start to a mutually beneficial relationship in the future!"
  88. (Vandureth)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [00:15] Well, he saw the bag of coins and that was enough for him at the moment it wasn't like he was being lied to.
  92.
  93. "Well, that gave me a bit of chills just seeing it; I can't wait to work with you. This is a lovely start to a good relationship and I'm looking to see just how far we can take it."
  94.
  95. He puts his cig out.
  96.
  97. "If that's all; I should get ready to rest for the evening if you're somehow ready just send me a letter. Until then work hard on finding the location because I'm eager to start."
  98. (Havoc)
