Grey Yamamoto is the ultimate puzzler, or the ultimate puzzle solver. He stands at just under 5’11”, and weighs a solid 140 lbs. Grey is obsessed with solving puzzles of any form, and considers the whole world puzzling. Whenever he does solve something, which is quite frequently, he can’t help but feel a strong sense of euphoria. With every puzzle he solves, he tries to find something more difficult, as the harder it is and the longer it takes to solve, the better the “high” is for him, however, if a puzzle is too difficult or goes on too long, he can begin to get frustrated and go through “withdrawals,” rendering him quite irritable and callous. Grey lived alone with his little sister, who had fallen into a coma after a drunk driving accident, a year prior to his invitation to Hope’s Peak. Grey grew up alone with his sister in a orphanage that heavily sheltered him from the outside world, this didn’t trouble him, as he spent all his time doing schoolwork and reading. Grey knows very little about his parents, though he hopes to meet them one day, this is what he considers the “ultimate puzzle” in his life. Grey wears a black dress shirt and a white bow tie, white skinny jeans, and black low tops. He has short, curly black hair with green eyes that often have dark circles, as he is a bit of an insomniac.
