Ever wondered what would happen if Incineroar was legal at the same time as Jirachi? How does bulky Mega Kangaskhan stand up if it's allowed simultaneously with Marshadow? Is Snorlax strong enough to warrant its 87% majority ban vote even in a metagame with increased threats? Because new Pokemon are released mid-generation, it's not always apparent how the metagame would have shaped up if all Pokemon were all legal simultaneously. "Like it Never Happened" explores these questions in tournament form.

All normal SM DOU rules apply (link here), EXCEPT for the following:

The following Pokemon are allowed:
Marshadow
Snorlax
Jirachi

The following items are allowed:
Gengarite
Kangaskhanite

The following move is allowed:
Swagger

As a result, games are to be played in [Gen 7] Doubles Ubers.

Magearna, Power Construct, and Eevium Z will remain banned for this tournament, since these were identified very early on in SM to be too powerful/unhealthy for the DOU tier and were unanimously banned by the council at that time.

Post "in" or "swiggity swag, the game's in the bag" in this thread to join the tournament. Signups will go until (one week from posting) or until we have 32 signups, whichever occurs first. After that, pairings for round one will be posted.
