Super Meat Boy player information

Players will each stream to their usual twitch channel.  Please include a timer on the stream.  You may put your timer over the gameplay if it's not taking up too much space, otherwise putting it above/below or to the side is fine.  If you're in a feature match, please stream game audio only (no microphone, discord, commentator audio, etc) so that we can use your game audio on the restream.  If you're unable to do that please let the organizers know.

We'll be using the speedrunslive.com IRC server to handle the races.  You must register your nickname with SRL in order to race.  Please do this ahead of time -- don't wait until the last minute. Today we'll be doing 6 ROUNDS of play.  Everyone plays in every round (unless you have a bye).  For each round we'll choose 3 pairs of players to be the "Featured Races" on the restream.  Each of the 3 featured races will have its own RaceBot channel on SRL.  The first pair of players (featured race #1) will start at the beginning of the round, so the players should ready up immediately.  The second pair (race #2) will start their race 5 minutes later.  The third pair (race #3) will start their race 5 minutes after that.  Staggering the start times of the 3 featured races allows us to show the endings of all 3 races on stream.

Everyone else who is NOT part of a featured race that round (all but 6 people) will join a fourth race, which we'll call the General Race.  The General Race begins whenever everybody is ready, preferably as soon as possible.  Even though it is one large race with N-6 people, each player is technically only racing against the one person whom they are paired with for that round (see the challonge page for pairings http://challonge.com/smbany2016swiss).

We'll tell you who the 3 Featured Races will be at the beginning of the round, and everyone else will be in the General Race.  Please make sure you join the correct race channel.  Ask the organizers if you're not sure which channel you're supposed to be in.  Most of the time you'll be in the General Race, so that's the race you should join by default unless one of the organizers tells you otherwise.

At the end of 6 rounds, the top 8 players will advance to the playoffs, which will happen Sunday June 26th.
