The Caesar Chronicles Part 2: Smashing Tendancy

Sept 4th 1459

It's been a while since that bizarre Rank D Official Cup with Caesar winning...We were all talking about it in our discord the wekk after, Hinata kept us posted on Harrimaoh's progress in healing, With me out of Rank D, Charlotte began to dominate. She apparently took heed what Jalen told her to do and has been soaring, Professional analysts bet that she will win the Rank D Cup with ease, with Kaze's Palmer coming in 2nd. As for me...I'm sitting out of the Rank C Cup for reasons....My older brother Inigo and his Hare, Riston will be entering and I don't wanna hear his mouth on beating me...also rumors have it that Jalen and Rhiannon will be entering, which would be odd cause they only spent 2 months in Rank C...Were they in a rush? I didn't know.

I drove to the Ylissian Dome where Official Cups were held early in the morning to watch Charlotte ace through the Rank D cup, she looked so happy in winning and is planning on celebrating at her ranch later today, which I of course am planning on going!! She join me in the stands to watch my brother compete...as I look down...

"Look! There they are!"

Charlotte point out to the 2 siblings I have been looking for...Ever since that day, I've been trying to keep tabs on them..Jalen in particular...Caesar is standing there calmly...seems he's a Teen now as he is much bigger than before...As usual, He is seeded 1st and his match is 1st...So his 1st opponent is Waranmo trained by a stocky hippie who's smoking some weed...his Ape/Plant is just sitting there in a lazy manner as the match is about to begin...

"Uhhh...Should you be smoking your weed near a monster that's part Plant?"
"Hey man, let me do my thing...you're ruining mah vibe..."

Jalen shakes his head as the man wave his hand in a dismissive manner...Rhiannon for her part is telling Caesar to crush the Ape. Caesar nods and get into his stance as Waranmo sits up and prepare...I guess? for the match as well

"BEGIN!" screamed the ref.

Waranmo shockingly enough went on the offense with a Boomerang, tossing his banana at Caesar who sidestep the fruit from front and back, Waranmo was at the spot where he went to and tried to Thwack him with his hands slamming Caesar to the ground! Caesar dodged that as well and stood at a distance away from Waranmo....Leaning in her seat, Charlotte was into the match as well as I was..We both was looking for Caesar to attack..and then...

"ROLLING BLOW!"

With a shout, Jalen commanded his Scaled Hare to for the 1st time and Caesar leap with a spin to strike against Waranmo, and with a loud impacting noise, Waranmo was laid out on the floor!!! The crowd gasp at the power as the hippie dropped his blunt in shock, calling out his Ape to get up....luckily Waranmo seem to have more LIF than Jalen suspected and got up...Dazed, he barely dodged a 1-2 Punch throw his way with a sideroll...Waranmo was trying to slide back on his ass(That gotta be painful and nasty) to use Tasty Banana to heal...but Caesar closed the gap and with a yell, KO the Ape with a Hard-Straight!!! This time, Waranmo didn't get up...

The Crowd erupt in cheers at the total domination as I blink, nothing seem to had changed in those months as I look at Charlotte who have a face of wonder on her now...

"So...So strong..."
"Yeah....That was too easy for Caesar, You think he will sweep here?"
"Sweep? With your brother in here? I doubt it"
"Even so..."

The next matches wasn't that important enough for me to care about, Riston at least won his match via Time-out as he danced circles around the Suezo/Hare, Gunburn. Inigo was soaking up the crowd's affection as he toss a rose to a lady in the stand and swooned her...Charlotte was screaming on her feet her love for my brother like every other female as I rolled my eyes..

The next match was beginning, with Caesar vs Gunburn. Caesar and Jalen step out with Rhiannon on the sideline, Gunburn and his trainer was on the arena as well, Gunburn seems determined to not lose to another Hare this time..

"Riston was able to time Gunburn out, would Caesar do the same?"
"I think not, Your brother is a tactical man whereas Jalen seems to not give a fuck about that!(Which I find somewhat hot....)"

The match began and ended as soon as possible...Caesar dodged a Tongue Slap from Gunburn and countered with a HardStraight on the Furred Suezo's Eye!!! Thankfully, Suezo's lone eye are damn near impossible to break, but Gunburn yelled in pain from it, and while it was dazed, Caesar KO it with a 1-2 Punch....Earning his 2nd win and with 54 seconds on the clock at that, people was clamoring how strong this Hare was as both me and Charlotte was feeling odd about the sheer display of power...

"That shouldn't get me so hot..."
"Ye-yeah, You're right Charlotte...what the hell IS this Hare and his breeder?"

As usual, Riston won via Timeout with a roaring applaude from the crowd, Inigo was able to take advantage of the Kato, Hyoue's poor ACC and stalled for the win, Many people called my brother a tactical genius, but I will call him a fancy show-off who just wanna please the crowd...

The next round was beginning and by now, People was taking bets on how fast the match would end in Caesar's favor while some was betting that Hyoue would win..In my opinion, Both monsters was decently fast, but it seems that Caesar had not only more ACC, but more POW techs to use as Katos, while having more INT...only had a small handful compared to their POW techs.

The match began...Caesar closed the gap as fast as he could with great speed...Hyoue stopped him in his tracks with a Slash Claw, which did nothing except angered Caesar who threw out a Hard-Straight to Hyoue's chest...KOing the alcoholic cat with ease..Many people was yelling as some collected their money and others moaned in anger...Charlotte licks her lips as I was rubbing my head

"Did you see that attack connecting? I felt it from here!"
"My head hurts from that....?"

At this point, nothing was happening...Riston would win by time-out and Caesar would by KOs....Many people was hyping up the 2 Hares and while majority of us was saying Riston would win, some were saying Caesar would dominate...Charlotte was of the Riston Camp as were me since that's my brother's monster...but even we had our doubts...Hell, one of the monsters, a Naga/Zuum named Susvain...his breeder gave up before Jalen and Caesar....Rhiannon laughs as she chuck down her beer...seems she have her own alcoholic issues as well.

And then another monster gave up!! a Mew named Nicolle was so scared to fight Caesar that she wouldn't budge from her breeder's legs...She was forced to forfeit the match there.

And finally, the match everyone wanted to see...the fancy footwork of Riston vs the Heartstopping power of Caesar! Everyone was clamoring on their feet expecting to see a great battle between 2 Rank B Hopefuls. As the match was about to begin, Inigo called out to Jalen..

"Hey, I think we should give the people what they are here to see...That's right, I'm issuing a Death Blow!"

Everyone was shouting at that for Inigo's "bravery" and was praising him...Jalen seems confused and the ref had to explained what a Death Blow was to him and Rin(Who was laying on the bleachers in the dugout from a hangover....Jalen nods and accepted it.

"Well, I think your brother may win this..."
"Same...Hopefully he will take this more seriously"

And the match began as Riston came out in full force throwing a variety of attacks! Kung Fu Blow, Rolling Blow, and Straights, all of which was dodged by Caesar!!! Inigo didn't had a look of worry on his face, I gotta commend him for that, he never lose his cool.

"COME ON! RISTON!"

Charlotte scream out loud as the match was going on...Caesar haven't thrown out a single attack yet as Riston seems to be out of Guts...Inigo chuckled at this

"I bet you think you gonna attack now? Wrong, Riston, go on the defensive!"

Riston nod and began to shuffle his feet like a pro boxer and sidestep to his left with great speed!...But Caesar met him there!!!

"WHAT!?!"
"FA-FA-FAST!"

Something in my stomach turned as I felt like I knew what was coming....and as Jalen issued the order...I stood up and yelled

"INIGO, GIVE THE MATCH UP!"

He must had heard me as he shouted out...

"INIGO NEVER GIVES UP, IT'S NOT THE MANLY THING TO DO!! RISTON! ATTACK WIT-"
"Smash"

Jalen's calm order gave Caesar the initiative to stomp his feet on the ground and turn his body to throw a brutal right hook to Riston's side like he did to Milliam a couple of months ago...and as the blow connected, a sickening crunch was heard as Riston's ribs cracked...I wasn't an expert, but I was sure at least 3 of them broke from the crushing attack...Riston fell on the ground in pain and was screaming..Only his screams of agony was heard as the crowd was silent.Charlotte was covering her mouth in shock as I was looking at my Brother for his reaction...he had a dazed look on his face for a minute before he shook his head and ran out to his Hare.

"RISTON!"

He cradled his Hare gently as Caesar looked at him with a face I couldn't tell what emotion he had, Jalen for his part walked over to Caesar and patted him on the shoulder praising him, as they turned around...Inigo with anger in his eyes stood up and walk towards him and got in front of him as the medical staff picked up Riston.

"What the hell man!?! Is that Hare Rank B!?!"
"He is now"
"No genius, I meant was he Rank B when he entered this tourney!! No way Riston would went down with on-"
"That's cause your Hare is fucking garbage"
"!!!"

That comment shocked the crowd as most of us was yelling at Jalen for his rude remark, Charlotte in particular was hurling every insult in her vocabulary at him, Rhiannon was cursing the crowd back defending her brother as I was just sitting there...in a daze, processing everything I saw in this match, the power, knowledge, the experience...One thing was for sure about these siblings as the award ceremonies went on for the Rank C Cup and people was booing Jalen and Rhiannon who accepted their prize money and trophy with dignity...


They were gonna be household names after this.
