- Covet: -Eli was in the kitchen and had all the ingredients laid out on the counter. He had the water boiling on the stove and a double boiler pot with water heating up for the broccolli. The oven was pre-heating for the garlic bread. He had the chicken on a cutting board but was looking at it trying to figure out if he should dice it up or slice it.- Uh...Bliss... Which way do you prefer this cut?
- Tsaaq: "Slices." She answered quickly as remained beside him, watching closely because she was being obnoxious about how things were made even though the gesture in general was sweet.
- Covet: -Eli nodded his head and started cutting the chicken into slices- About like this? Too thick, too thin? -He said looking up to double check with her. He looked behind him to check the water, to see if either of them were read to have anything added to them.-
- Covet: *ready
- Tsaaq: She tilted her head and examined it carefully. "It's just the right size." She told him with a smile and a nod. "You're doing a good job so far. Have you cooked a lot in your lifetime?" She asked him playfully.
- Covet: Fantastic. -He said slicing through the rest of the chicken making sure they were all about the same, until he had it all sliced. He turned around and washed his hands quickly, before taking a skillet and getting it warmed up with some oil in it as he looked over to her, while adding some salt and pepper to the chicken- I've cooked a bit. My Dad thought it was good bonding time for us, and he said it'd help me get a girlfriend one day. -He chuckled.-
- Tsaaq: "Well that's not what made me want to be your girlfriend but... I suppose it is nice. No one has ever cooked for me before." Bliss told him with a smirk on her lips then glanced over at the stove while it heated up.
- Covet: -He smiled at her- I wish I would have known that nobody has cooked for you before. I would have done this a long time ago. -He got the chicken into the skillet and used a spatchula to stir it about, then put the lid on it, turning the heat down just a bit. Once he did that he put the pasta into the boiling pot of water. and grabbed the cutting board to wash it off.-
- Tsaaq: Bliss frowned a little and lowered her head. "Yeah..." She trailed off. "I read somewhere that you shouldn't talk about your exes so I don't think I'll go into details." Bliss told him as she went back to watching him.
- Covet: I understand, and no need to sweat it. -He said looking over at her, with a smile. Eli took the spatchula and gave the chicken a quick stir, then put the lid back on it. He took the clean cutting board and took the broccoli and started cutting it up so he could get it steaming.- I will just revel in the fact that I can still do things that are new for you.
- Tsaaq: "You're too sweet to me." Bliss said with a bit of a sigh, glancing at the broccoli and excited with how freen it was cause that's a thing for her."Does it irritate you when I mention them?" She asked him after biting the inside of her cheek.
- Covet: Nonsense. I'm just the right amount of sweet. -He told her, then shook his head- No, though, I've only ever heard you talk about Lucius...in any real detail. I'm more irritated by the way he treated you. -He told her taking the broccoli and put it into the steamer pot, then gave everything a quick stir. Once the chicken was cooked he added the sauce to the skillet to get it heated up and checked the tenderness of the pasta.-
- Tsaaq: Bliss bit the inside of her cheek again. "Oh-" She began to say when he began to do things with the broccoli but stopped when she saw he was stirring and things already. "Well it was definitely my worst relationship I think..." She sighed. "The others weren't the best but they were better."
- Covet: Would it be weird of me to ask about the others? I never really thought to ask about it before. -He stopped what he was doing then looked at her- Oh.....I didn't like the sound of that Oh... what did I mess up? -he said looking around-
- Tsaaq: "No no, you've got it." She said to him as she waved her hand at the pot. "Well there was Jodi and James, and they were pushy about certain things so I found it unattractive and ended it. Then there was Saiorse and we were friends and we hung out a little but I soon realized it was a passing fancy, which she wasn't too happy about so now I'm almost certain she hates me."
- Covet: Wow, I didn't know that you had dated any girls. That's actually, rather interesting. -He said with a bemused look on his face- I'm sorry that she hates you, but you can't help how you feel. -He took the pasta off the stove and poured it into a strainer in the sink , then brought it over to the stove again, taking some and dishing it out into a couple of deep plates. Eli took the garlic bread out of the oven and turned it off, to give it a chance to cool down, as he kept working on getting their meal put together.-
- Tsaaq: Bliss shrugged her shoulders a moment. "I wouldn't even call it dating. I mean then I thought so but compared to us it was like nothing." She said to him with a sigh. "That's probably why she was mad. I wasn't exactly as into it as her. It was just some experimentation after all." Bliss said, following around behind him.
- Covet: Yeah, I could see where she could be upset by that. But how do you let someone know ahead about something like that, if it was all new? -He said giving her a smile- I love that you gave it an open minded try though. We're just about ready here if you want to get the wine opened up for us. -he told her taking the chicken and the sauce, pouring it over the pasta, then got a couple of smaller plates to put some of the steamed broccoli on, with a couple slices of Garlic bread. Making it all look nice, because presentation is part of the over all score, of course.-
- Tsaaq: "I dont know. But it doesn't help that I sort of just stopped talking to her. I'm sure that aided her annoyance with me." She said with her eyes a little wide. "At the time I was thinking boys were-" Bliss shook her head. "It was an ignorant decision on my part." Bliss muttered then went to grab the wine she picked out. "It's well aged. I was assured that the taste would go well with a meal such as this." She commented as she went over to the table to set the bottle down.
- Covet: -Eli chuckled- It's alright I'm not offended. I bet it will taste fantastic with it, My Dear. -He said bringing over their food and setting it down on the table for them both.- Alright. Do we need anything else? -He asked, then went back to the island to grab the wine glasses he'd put out, bringing them over to the table-
- Tsaaq: She looked up at him then went to uncork the wine, struggling a little. "Um..." She trailed off and observed the table. "Just make sure everything on the table is even." Bliss told him as she adjusted things accordingly. "Otherwise we're set for a divine dining experience."
- Covet: -Eli looked over and adjusted a a couple of the plates, walking around the table to make sure it was even- I think we're good. Do you need help with that My Dear? -He asked her, watching her struggle-
- Tsaaq: "Um." Bliss began to say reluctantly. "Yes..." She sighed with defeat, handing over the bottle like it was the worst thing in the world and waiting for him to open it.
- Covet: -He cuckled and took the bottle as she handed it over then struggled a bit with it himself.- Okay, well aged better we worth all of that work. -He chuckled and poured out a little bit into each glass for them. Then set the bottle down, and sat down himself- Okay, I am totally ready for your honest critique.
- Tsaaq: She took her place in front of her plate and picked up her fork, carefully swirling the pasta onto it and getting a small piece of chicken she brought the fork to her lips and chewed slowly. "Oh my." She said, covering the side of her mouth as she spoke, swallowing it. "This came out pretty well. I love it." She told him as she poked her fork into some broccoli.
- Covet: -Eli waited until she took a bite, kind of waiting for her to give a review of the pasta. He smiled as she said that she loved it.- Whew.... That's a little bit of pressure off. He said exaggerating the sigh, then gave her a wink, as he took a bite himself, mulling over his work in his mouth-
- Tsaaq: Bliss smiled as she over to him, sipping the wine and enjoying the meal. "You'll enjoy it." She said reassuringly. "And I suppose after this we can watch a little netflix until we fall asleep. Doesn't that sound like a lovely completetion of an evening?"
- Covet: Absolutely Blissful. -He told her enjoying the food, looking over at her- Thanks for letting me do this for you tonight. -Eli said digging into his food, and drinking his wine until they were both finished, so they could get cleaned up and into the relaxing phase of their eveining until they passed out.-
- Tsaaq: ((REALLY ELI!))
