tackles Chung

The girl leaped like a cat, eyes flaring with madness, fingers hooked into claws, small teeth snapping. Chung tried to bring his gun up in time. But there was no time. She slammed into the sergeant’s chest, and you would not think a body that small could hit with such force, but it was backed by a terrifying level of savagery, of fury. Of rage. Top fired. So did Bunny. Chung fell back and her hands clawed at his visor even as the bullets punched through her and splashed her blood into the air, onto the leaves of a small tree, all over Bunny.

Ho made a sound that was half laugh, half sob because the girl hadn’t torn Chung’s suit, she hadn’t bitten him. None of that. No. But Chung lay there with his visor knocked askew. Not much. An inch. Less. A half inch.
