- Tips and tools to help lower VRAM usage and download size
- <https://vrcfury.com/>
- Add ^ Put the VRCFury script/component on the base/root of your avatar
- Then click the + and add: Blendshape Optimizer, Direct Tree Optimizer, Bounding Box Fix, Anchor Override.
- That'll get download size/VRAM usage down a little by baking any blendshapes that aren't used in animations
- Optimize toggles a bit
- Make it so things don't vanish as easily
- (Like rings, shoes, hair if you know what I mean)

- It's slightly outdated as the tool has updated and made it even easier but ye
- lowering texture resolution is a very easy way to lower download size
- and depending on what was high res the avatar'll look no different than originally
- _A lot of the time I see avatars have 4K textures when it looks perfectly fine at 2K_
- _or like I'll see gradients and normal/roughness/ao maps that are wildly high res for no reason_
