- >>>>>>>>> TUTORIAL TO MAKE GIFS.
- WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- vlc media player - https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
- to be able to 'import' > 'video frames to layers' in ps
- HELPFUL LINKS:
- p much as long as you can download a video, you can open it in vlc.
- instagram - https://downloadgram.com/
- facebook - https://fbdownloader.cc/
- youtube - https://en.savefrom.net/1-how-to-download-youtube-video/
- in the event that the video is only a couple seconds long and vlc won't record it all, you'll also need some type of "movie maker" to just extend the video. you can just put some blank frames in front of and behind it in the movie maker and it should be alright.
- anyway. it's super easy.
- PART ONE.
- > open vlc media player
- > click 'view' and select 'advanced controls' bc you'll need the little red 'record' button
- > click 'media' and 'open file'
- > press 'record' whenever you're ready ( if it's a long video, just skim to the part you want and pause a couple seconds before it comes up so you'll get all of it. )
- > press 'play'
- > whenever you're done with a section you wanted, just press 'record' again so it'll stop.
- > though make sure to stop the recording before the video ends if it's short because if you don't, it won't save it and it'll flick the video off and you'll have to reopen it.
- PART TWO.
- > open your version of ps
- > make sure you have your 'layers', 'timeline', and 'tools' visible
- > click 'file' > 'import' > 'video frames to layers'
- > open the vlc clip you recorded
- > move the little dials to condense how much you want in a certain gif
- > click 'ok'
- > crop til you get the ideal size/section you want
- > delete any unwanted frames
- > click the menu button in the top right corner of the timeline section
- > click 'select all frames'
- > click the 'v' of the first frame to change the seconds delay
- > click 'other'
- > i usually do "0.05" when i make gifs bc it's a decent time and runs pretty smoothly but you do you, babe. and of course always test how well the gif works in imgur too just to see how it runs on a browser and if you need to adjust the seconds delay.
- > make sure the it's set to 'forever' so the gif won't stop looping
- that's literally it.
- add your psd on top, stretch your canvas, resize it. however you wanna edit it bc you're amazing and i love you.
- thanks for coming to my ted talk.
