Mr. Fernando was eagerly decorating the house, he was the kind of guy who enjoys Halloween, the atmosphere, the candy, the costumes, but mostly, the traditions. Mr. Fernando went upstairs ready to finally get some action, but when he looked up for his wife, she was gone, apparently, she already got enough of all those interruptions too, she went to the bathroom to get one of her 1-hour sessions locked inside the water closet. The man tried to convince her to come back, he insisted that there won't be interruptions, but as soon as he said that, the doorbell sounded again, giving his woman a point to not get out.
Mr. Fernando sighed before going downstairs, he yelled at the door how they already ran out of candy. But before he could go upstairs, the doorbell insisted him to attend. Tired of the sound, the big man ensured his cape and attended the door. The ones ringing weren’t children, those were three teenagers from 16-17 wearing Halloween costumes. Mr. Fernando got surprised by this, he expected the teens to ask for anything but candy when they said the words and showing their bags.
Mr. Fernando, still weirded out by everything, tried to explain the situation, he told the guys that they already ran out of candy and shut the door, but the teens didn't seem okay by this, they insisted the man give some treats by ringing the bell again. Mr. Fernando opened the door again, he was getting desperate, he tried to be tolerant, but now he will go firm, first of all, he clarified how there’s no more candy, secondly, he showed the empty bowl on the floor where he tossed all the candy and lastly he nagged the teens for being too old for this and that is time for them to grow up before slamming the door again.
The teens rang the bell once again, this time Mr. Fernando was pissed, he opened the door to tell off those teens once again, those two were stepping back as Mr. Fernando keep approaching them to the street. Only saying ”trick-or-treat” to mock the old man who keeps insisting on not having candy anymore. The teens responded differently, ”no treat? Then a trick it is”. Before the vampire man could react, the third teen popped out from behind and snagged the cape away from Mr. Fernando’s body.
The teens laughed at what the old man was wearing under the cape, ”now that's a good treat!” ”we asked for candy, not for eye candy!”.  Mr. Fernando was burning red from embarrassment, he tried to go back but the third guy closed the door. ”He’s not wearing anything behind!”. As if things weren't bad enough for him, the teens were spinning around him taking footage, during the confusion, one of them managed to snatch the bat, leaving Mr. Fernando fully exposed outside of his home, when he tried to get back his stuff, the teens were already running away with everything, he couldn't run naked around the neighbor. All he could do was ring the door unsuccessfully when his spouse wouldn't come out of the bathroom in an hour.

When Mr. Fernando started going house to house with Arturo, he changed for some safer suits, sometimes he would make a match with Arturo’s costumes. Those were really good times, although Arturo has grown over Halloween, he sees trick-or-treating as a dull and stupid thing like your average teenager, he no longer wants to do that thing again; the only thing he is interested in is going to a night party with his classmates.
Mr. Fernando seemed excited about everything, he already got the costumes he ordered for the night ready to be put on. When Arturo came downstairs to talk with his dad, the first image he sees is his father fully bare before he could put on his costume. Mr. Fernando didn't seem to care about his nudity, he casually greeted his son without covering his privates, telling him that the costumes arrived. Mr. Fernando got crushed by those words coming out of his son, he only remained silent as Arturo went back to his room. He packed back the costume he bought for his son with a sigh, his night suddenly felt off and depressed. The words of his son were still hitting when he checked himself in the mirror with the costume on. He was dressing as the headless horseman, so far he was only wearing the clothes, the suit came with a pumpkin helmet to cover his head, but when he inspected it, he felt ridiculous and childish. He put the helmet away and stayed with the suit’s clothes on. Looking back at the box containing Arturo’s costume make the man sigh, he knew Arturo was growing up, he tried to not go with a childish choice for his costume, a behead victim suit expecting it to be ”cool” enough for him, but apparently, his son was growing faster than he expected. Arturo went downstairs to go to the party, his dad was still bummed and contemplating the pumpkin helmet, Arturo simply decided to not make eye contact and leave with his friends. His friends were wearing plain clothes for Arturo’s relief, although once they got there Arturo would notice that they were the only ones who didn't come up with a costume, or at least until his friends came back from packing out their costumes from the trunk. Arturo was feeling awkwardly left out, people were asking for his costume and he felt ashamed to admit the truth.

The social pressure end up getting on Arturo’s head, he had to do something, he got into the bathroom where fewer people could see him, he picked up some makeup samples from the ”DIY paint mask” booth. He tried to paint any monster face on himself, but things were turning wrong, he looked worse than before, the makeup wouldn't erase with the water, instead, it would make his face look poorer. Mr. Fernando stayed home attending the children, he didn't put on the pumpkin mask so he mostly looked like a man wearing old clothes and a cape, no one got the costume and neither will they ever get it without the mask covering his head. Watching all those children with their parents make him feel more depressed, he tried to speed up everything by giving children more candy rations to finish earlier. He started to undress, getting ready to sleep, and put an end to this day. It's then when he gets a call from his son, he sounded worried, with many pauses during his speech, Mr. Fernando was feeling worried, Arturo decided to swallow his pride and ask his father to bring him his costume to the party before his father could say a thing, Arturo hangs up to not hear how he was wrong.

Mr. Fernando got happy from that call, he started to put on his boxers and average clothing, but he quickly decided to ditch them and go with his original costume put on instead. Mr. Fernando knew things weren't actually okay for his son, he could feel his distress. Due to the lack of pockets on his costume, the man left his phone in the car and took out the box with him.

The party was located inside a haunted mansion, all he had to do was to surround the place and find another way in. The garden was empty, but it was surrounded by plants and hedges, not to mention the tall wall of bars. None of this stopped the father to get to his son; when he started to cross the path full of plants, his body started feeling scratches from the chest, and below, there were many thorns within the path. Mr. Fernando passed the costume through the bars while he starts rolling in the mud. His plan was working for a while, the dog prioritized the clothes and was barking to the bars. The man took this chance to race to the bars before the dog notices the trick, he was struggling to climb up, the dog already saw him in the middle of the way up and was trying to jump to bite the man. Mr. Fernando managed to get to the top, he was trying to be careful with the spike that was on top, but the dog’s bumps towards the bar would end up ruining the man as he jumps to the other side hearing a loud ripping noise. His boxers got thorn away and now all he was wearing was his helmet and shoewear. Before anyone could see him, the man retrieved his costume, yet, the dog had other plans when he tried to chew it. The father was fighting with a dog for the costume but in the end, the costume got broken into pieces thanks to the slashes and pull stretches it got.

Mr. Fernando checked the damage, the rest of the costume covered anything but the parts that needed it the most, all he could do with the current situation was to use two pieces of fabric from his costume to cover his back and front, but then, how could he take the box with him? Neither he could enter like that to a place full of people. He heard people coming over so he ditched the fabric to get the box and hide.
Other teenagers came into the garden, they said they wanted to smash the pumpkins from the garden, given how rotten they looked like, no one would care if they break them. Mr. Fernando was worried about his son, he asked what happened. Arturo couldn't lie at that moment, he told his dad that he wanted to improvise a costume with things he got in hand, he explained about the makeup end up ruining his face and getting an allergic reaction from it. He also tried with thorning his clothes partially to look like a victim or something, but the fabric ended up breaking in the wrong directions, making him look ridiculous and humiliating; he didn’t want anyone to watch his hideous look. The father tried to comfort his son who told him he wanted to go back home, he lends out the costume he brought for him, telling him to change, Arturo insisted on going back home with him, but he didn't want anyone to see him. Mr. Fernando promised him he would help his son, he only told him to put on the costume and get to the car that was outside.

Arturo already had the costume, his head was covered under the neck of the costume, he had some hard time to adapt to the reduced sight from the costume. His father showed him some confidence sign for him to get ready when giving out the keys to the car he had inside the helmet before bursting out of the bathroom. Arturo tried to sneak away, he could barely see anything with the costume, he had to pull the neck downwards with a finger to watch where he was going, he heard a loud voice coming from the center of the stage. His father was looking at him, ensuring his reputation by ruining his own’s. Mr. Fernando knew he was messing up with his son, he promised to wear the suit he brought him and so he will.
