  1. In truth he wasn't hard to figure out, simple and straight forward was how he preferred things. At least when he was dealing with new people that were outside of the usual spheres of influence he was used to dealing with. "Mm, not exactly. I'm more set for remote work, Cherubim is the one I leave the mess and strain of fighting. Granted I repair any damage that happens to his chassis." He reached for his own glass and sipped, the alcohol pleasantly burned its way down his throat and warmed his belly before he set the glass down once again. Lips pulled into a quick grin before he nodded. "Interest is putting it a little light, but you're right. Where I'm from almost everyone has an augmentation of some sort. Over sixteen anyway." Though he seemed almost untouched by modifications beyond the odd patch work on his palms.--

  3. The thought of having to keep ones self hidden away because of a naturally born ability was a bit alien to him but understandable. Nothing but trouble would follow from how she explained it. "Angels and demons? I thought the former would be set to protect humans, regardless of the ability to use magic or not." A weary look was given, it was obvious he had very little knowledge of such beings besides the simple and no doubt outdated concept of angel good and demon bad. Though her speaking of psionics piqued his interest but also brought up a mild guard. He really hoped she wasn't the sort to look into others minds. A concern that was put aside when she confessed of her lack of control. He knew that feeling all too well. He perked up however and nodded to her question, tapping the side of his head with his index finger.--

  5. "EDEN keeps us connected. Cherubim can send and receive data through the closed network he and I share. Its still a prototype but that's why I've got it. Working out the bugs and putting in fixes of my own while also figuring out how to exploit it." His shoulder lifted faintly in an off shrug as he smiled a little. "Guess you can say I'm one of the few humans that has been able to fully meld with the system and not have the body reject the nanites." He hoped he wasn't losing her with this even watered down explanation. "Enhanced DNA Encoded Network. That's how Cherubim and I can stay connected and not worry about outsiders trying to get in. Sure they could try to steal my blood, but that's where the nanites help on a small scale."--

  7. Sitting up and leaning forward a little more he would open his left hand as one of those screens came to life in the air above his upturned palm. Small pin pricks of light showing where the image was being projected from to depict a small disc shaped object with thin hair line cilia wavering around the edges, much like an ameba. "These little guys are able to tell when they are in my body or not. Once removed they destroy whatever shreds of DNA are with them before self-destructing, keeping secrets safe. They also are what keep me alive and help defend me when my partner is gone."-e-
  8. (Sorry for the wait. Work kills me in the evening but thankfully I'm on my off rotation now.)
