  7. We're an odd bunch honestly. Squawking, squabbling flying harpies. When the flood happened we had no land, no place to make our nests, our food was too deep in the water to fish and we hungered. We flew, and flew and flew, until one of the young ones saw a glimmer in the waves.

  9. The flood effected us greatly, it washed away our homes, our lives, our egg beds. Cities drowned and we breathed filth as they were flooded. We had no choice but to venture into deeper waters where terrors waited. We stayed near the surface to avoid them when we spotted things flying above the horizon.

  11. When we came together it was convenience, The mermaids lured the terrors to the surface and the harpies would cut and tear with talons. We both would feast. The mer would gather vast beds of kelp for us to rest and nest in, and we would play and make love in the waves. When the terrors grouped up to slaughter us we would move on and harpies would look for new places where the terrors were not too thick in the waters.
