Despite claiming to sometimes "scumread" one another in NONE of their games does Cody push on fade in any meaningful way and thus being aware of how he might be accused of throwing for her he plays this way to distance himself from such accusations while still playing towards her win condition in a way that he can deflect accusations of cheating.

In this game nobody ever reads fade until later on (she's mafia) and despite even announcing that they found reasons to scumread her she was still not lynched, even in 3 way.

Along with that a few lines explaining his prerogative and even going as far as to quote why he scumreads her, but he doesn't push on her and then decides to essentially afk (not try) in this game. Take note of the level of effort he's putting into this game compared to other games where fade's win was on the line. This should make it very apparent who's win condition he's really playing for.

Blue is lynched day 1, then mafia kills another blue night 2, then town lynches mafia back to back with fade being the surviving templar deciding the lynches. The final day contained almost no content with fade and Cody just voting his CC. It was very uncharacteristic to actual scumhunting or how much fade would stress over winning.
