　　✧ the wangs is a small family consisting of xiushua's father, mother and herself. the family is quite famous for owning a dim sum restaurant which was once a local in the town, and now spread over in the north region in different branches. the business eventually grew and now, the family restaurant could be found in every province in china.
　　　her father wanted to expand the business overseas, so he chose south korea as a suitable country to start internationally. the whole family ended up migrating to korea in 2014 and live there while their new restaurants began operating.
　　　xiushua had to repeat a year in school since she moved from china. when she was supposedly to be in her last year of middle school, she had to study as a second year. it was hard to make friends due to the cultural differencr and languga barrier but since she was friendly, she managed to make a few close ones who remained close with her until now, even when they are in different schools now.
　　　her life was not perfect, though. a year after settling in the foreign country, xiushua almost died when she involved in a massive accident which included a truck, a school bus and a few cars. the accident resulted her to go half blind— she lost her left vision and had been relying on her left eye ever since. however, only a few people know and thankfully, it was not obvious. the orb of her left eye only had its color changed by the slightest from being blind— from dark brown to hazel, so no one really caught on.
　　　in 2017, xiushua enrolled into high school and in the same year, her father had to leave her and her mother in korea while he pursues the restaurant business in japan— it grew very quick, xiushua noticed but she's grateful of it. so currently, she lives with her workaholic mother in seoul along the streets of seongbukdong. she'd feel lonely at times since she's home alone while her mother goes out for work from the crack of dawn to late night.
　　　back to xiushua's school life, she had chose to major in dancing without knowing how to dance, only because she sucks at others. through that, she learnt how to dance and loved doing so. xiushua planned on pursuing dancing as her career but she hadn't talked about it to her mother, afraid of how she would react. the girl was expected to inherit the business since she's the only child of the successful couple.

　　✧ positive / "everything will be alright." xiushua never thinks of the bad things that will happen if she were to do this or that. she'd be in a car accident or get injured yet her bright side would take over her and say, "other people may be in a worse situation than me." she also goes by the saying, "if you think beautifully, you will grow beautifully."
　　✧ noisy / "*insert continuous high pitched squealing*" ; it is quite notorious among her group of friends she may be quite louder and crazier than normal people. she'd talk, the whole room could listen to her story. she's also very talkative for her own good. at times, xiushua speaks more than she should and it involves her spilling secrets which should be kept to herself.
　　✧ moodmaker / "turn that frown upside down! ; xiushua likes cracking up jokes or make fun of herself just to see smiles painted on her friends' faces. she can change dull moods into a very bright one with only effortless words and actions. she radiates happiness and positivity wherever she walks. her joyful smile alone can make anyone else delighted.
　　✧ dedicated / "i gotta do what i gotta do." ; once she focuses on one job or task, xiushua would never abandon it until she completes it. one time when she had a group project, she ended up doing it alone because her groupmates weren't taking it seriously and planned not to submit it, but xiushua was in need of marks and extra points for the school finals, so she cared less of doing the work alone. as long as it's finished (and she did finish it with a grade of

　　✧ fears! ; she doesn't technically hate tight spaces but when she is in one, she'd unconsciously breath shallowly and feel nauseous. xiushua almost fainted when she was on the plane from guangzhou to korea— it was her first ever plane ride. it was concluded that she had claustrophobia.
　　✧ tolerance! ; she is a light drinker and always gets drunk with just one glass of beer. what do you expect from someone who gets high just by drinking coffee?
　　✧ fangirl! ; coming by to korea, she learnt artists in the country were stan worthy. her ultimate group is onf but she also adores a few others likes wanna one, oh my girl, blackpink, red velvet and nct. she has their albums stacked om her shelves. she once went to wanna one's concert right after a day of knowing them.
　　✧ cooking skills! ; she can't cook for her life. once, she almost burnt down the kitchen when she was toasting her bread. she needs extra supervision when she's doing something in the kitchen. for all we could know she could smash any plates there.
　　✧ almost-trainee! ; once, a staff from an acting agency wanted to cast xiushua on the spot when she was shopping with her family in myeongdong, but her family politely declined.

　　✧ if she had to be truthful, she was scared of him at first. but it turned out he was a harmless kid when the two were in the same group for a dance project. his intimidating looks he shows at school is just a facade when in reality, he's a playful boy with tricks up on his sleeves, just like her. and she thought he couldn't be any more childish when he's wasted. he legit acts like a kid. finally, she found someone more childish than her. it was hard taking care of a drunk hwall and thoughts crossed her mind: was her friends this stressed when they had to deal with her childish ass?

　　✧ xiushua's childlike personality made him thought she's younger perhaps, so he'd speak informally to her without realizinoollg she's older among the pair. so when he knew she was older, he felt awkward and didn't know what to call her (she told him just to treat her normally like before) he found her amusing when he pranked her with a fake lizard; her reaction was priceless! he continuously pranks her while all her pranks she pulled on him for revenge miserably failed.

　　✧ xiushua and hwall were in the same year and major in hanlim, but different classes. so when the dance division had a project coming up, all the classes in the dance major were divided into groups to plan a choreography for the respective songs they were given. during the discussion, hwall secretly put a fake lizard on her lap since she was sitting nearby, and knowing xiushua is afraid of lizards, she yelled loudly in terror, making the boy cackle. they were off to a bad start with her despising him. and xishua hating on people is a rare phenomenon, considering she's very friendly. she would try to get it back secretly by pulling out pranks as well but it always failed, which is still a question to her
　　✧ suprise befallen upon hwall when he saw xiushua at the party he hosted. she was there because a friend invited, not knowing who even hosted the party but she just went anyway for the free booze. by the time he spotted her, she was already drunk. she still recognized him though as the guy who pranked her with the fake lizard so she wasn't amused when she saw him. she began to pick a fight but blacked out in the end due to exessive drinking. by the time she woke up, she was in hwall's room (he had to put her there since he didn't know where the hell her house was and whoever brought her along).
　　✧ so the two had been bumping frequently with each other in parties and got to know each other. her hatred towards him eventually died down as their friendship grew. they even sit togther now at school and would leave together since her house was along the way towards his. it's a constant cycle everyday: they go to school together, eat together, practice and study together if they stay back until the evening and leave together. rumors spread around that the dance major's wild card hwall was dating the dimsum girl xiushua, but they didn't took it seriously and just leave it be.
　　✧ the two began to realize they weren't seeing each other as friends anymore after their own friends speculated the two were in a relationship, or just having a fling. it clearly showed how awkward the tension would grow if the two were getting too close with each other physically, or how the other would be a bit too affectionate with actions or words. how they would feel a bit irritated if the other is with someone else who is of the opposite gender. hwall knew he was catching feelings for her but xiushua? she couldn't recognize it quick since she had no experience in liking someone that way rather than in a friendly way.
　　✧ xiushua notices hwall avoiding her and confronted about him they were drifting apart. hwall had to do so to clear out the feelings he had for her but he pretended, only replying with, "really? i didn't notice that." so they 'got back' together again and he knew well he couldn't get away from her. so they had become friends with hidden feelings for each other. no one dared to confess to the other until xiushua became drunk one night and spilled all the feelings she had for hwall. though she denied it the next day and told him she was spitting out nonsense.
　　✧ but in the end, xiushua did confess to him and she was sober, saying what she said during that night was true. it took him time for him to reply but he also admitted his feelings and finally, after almost a year of being friends, they upgraded to being a couple. though they still act the same like how they used to, nothing has changed only except for the title they had.

　　✧ hwall and xiushua argues a lot. xiushua would say he's more childish than her and he begged to differ. and they also fight on their choices of favorite idol groups (it's always bts vs onf on this) and music.
　　✧ him calling her noona in school hours to tease her, knowing she'd be embarrassed. eric once told him when he was drunk, he called her noona and her face went all red. eric wasn't lying after all when she dashed away with an annoyed, flushed face.

　　✧ during a truth or dare game in a party, where everyone was drunk, semi drunk or still sober, a drunk hwall was dared to sit on a sober xiushua. he legit sat on her lap for the whole game. she'd complain he was heavy but he was drunk and cared less about it. but he shut her up just by turning his head around to her and making their faces close. he'd giggle then, saying, "you quiet down when i lean into your face? should i do that often to shut you up whenever you talk non stop?"
　　✧ hwall begs her to teach him chinese swear words and she agrees. but what he doesn't know is that she was actually teaching him cringey phrases like "i am gay" or "i only date pizzas" in chinese.
　　✧ xiushua was often seen hanging out with another guy from the party, which kinda made hwall uncomfortable seeing the girl being close to someone else. he ended up pulling her away from him and asked her furiously on who the guy was. aware of the boy's jealousy, she explained the guy was actually her best friend's boyfriend who wanted to discuss with her about their upcoming special anniversary date, which her boyfriend needed a lot of information to carry out.
　　✧ when xiushua confessed to him, hwall didn't accept her but he didn't reject either. he said he needed time to think about it, so whenever they bump into each other, she avoided hwall like the plague. so one day, he approached her and asked, "why are you avoiding me, noona? is it because of the confession?" with a smirk, knowing it makes her flustered as hell.
　　✧ xiushua brought him to an authenic chinese restaurant where they serve exotic chinese street food like starfish, scorpion and bugs. hwall almost fainted just by looking at the food skewered as if it's normal.
