The film came out of China's film sector, where it has been seen by a little more than 1 million films, and has generated a record amount of interest in China for three years. In July, the film, called "The Lion King," opened to a massive 8 million Chinese screenings. In a statement released at the time, the festival released a list of 25 films that were screened with the festival at Beijing's International Film Festival. Also released through the press conference were references to the allegations in the initial press release as well as statements from Hastings and Seacrest's attorneys about the circumstances of that hearing.

But the media itself has a strong case that the men were charged. "We will see whether we can substantiate those allegations on the record," Hastings said Tuesday, "since any allegations against these defendants had been referred back to the Special Prosecutor's Office."

In addition to the first two interviews, Seacrest's attorney said there had been discussions with a team of attorneys and other media as well, and also that the charges against the men would be dismissed once Hastings is charged.
