  1. "Rarity?"
  2. >Rarity hurries around the kitchen, anxiously checking the clock every few seconds as she hastily throws together breakfast.
  3. >Jump as a bowl is slammed down on the table before you.
  4. >A piece of toast floats in a bowl of milk.
  5. >Give your friend a concerned look.
  6. "Rari--"
  7. >"I KNOW!"
  8. >Cringe at her raised voice.
  9. >"I-I'm sorry for shouting, Octavia, but I don't have time to do anything today! I have to get started on my dresses immediately!"
  10. >She practically inhales a piece of toast and a half glass of wine before running past you towards her drawing room.
  11. "But I wanted to ask--"
  12. >The door slams shut.
  13. >Sounds of Rarity running about and uttering infrequent "Wahaha!"'s occupies the silence.
  14. >You sigh and look back at your toast, now splitting in half and sinking to the bottom of the milk.
  15. >Taking it over to the sink, you clean it out and help yourself to some cereal.
  16. >Sitting back down at the table, you thoughtfully chew on the sugary treats.
  17. >The thought crosses your mind of just how much sugar you've already eaten since you arrived here in Ponyville.
  18. >It would explain Rarity's somewhat "full" appearance.
  19. >She's not chubby by any means, just has all the right proportions in all the right places.
  20. >Makes you wonder how anyone could reject her.
  21. >...Like how Anonymous did.
  22. >You pause mid-chew.
  23. >Your mind is still tackling what happened yesterday.
  24. >For the first time in your life you were denied something you wanted.
  25. >It came as no surprise that you were thrown through a loop by it.
  26. >You had be hoping to ask Rarity if she wanted to help you get a date with him, but if the faint thuds and unladylike curses upstairs are any indication she's quite busy at the moment.
  27. >Rather than stay here and risk interrupting her (or making her even more stressed) you write her a small note and leave it on the table.
  28. >' Gone to get what you and I both deserve - Octavia. '
  29. >With that, you head out the door and into the sun.
  30.
  31. 1/?
  32.
  33. >Sipping your drink, you carefully watch Anonymous.
  34. >You had spent a large portion of your night trying to figure out how you would go about getting him to date you.
  35. >Seems simple enough.
  36. >Merely requires you to do a bit of field research on the target.
  37. >The human sits at a table outside a coffee shop, reading a book with a furrowed brow.
  38. >You on the other hoof are at the other side of the street wearing a giant hat and hiding behind a newspaper.
  39. >The hat isn't for a disguise, it's to hide you from the sun.
  40. >The -newspaper- is the disguise.
  41. >He scratches his nose and turns a page.
  42. >It's hard to see what book it is from here. You might need to get closer.
  43. >Checking around for any other spots you can sit, you note one very close to him.
  44. >Biting your bottom lip you debate moving to it.
  45. >What if he notices you?
  46. >Your cover would be blown and--
  47. >"Hey, Octavia."
  48. >Freeze up.
  49. >Anonymous is stood over you, the sun behind his back and casting a shadow over you.
  50. >Smile sheepishly up at him.
  51. >He sits down across from you and glances up at your hat.
  52. >"Nice headgear. One of Rarity's?"
  53. "Oh, no, I just bought it."
  54. >"Just like that?"
  55. "Well... yes?"
  56. >"Huh. Just looks expensive is all."
  57. "Oh, not really; about fifty bits."
  58. >Anonymous' eyes go wide and he stares in shock at you.
  59. >"Jesus, woman. All that for a hat?"
  60. >Cock your head, confused.
  61. "What? It isn't -that- expensive."
  62. >"It's a weeks wage to me. So... guessing you make a lot of money being a musician?"
  63. >Your heart flutters.
  64. >He's actually having a conversation with you about something in your comfort zone!
  65. >Don't screw this up, Octavia.
  66. >You've got this in the bag.
  67. "O-oh, yes, I play music sometimes."
  68. >...Damn it.
  69. >Anon smirks.
  70. >"Still having trouble processing how wildly attractive I am?"
  71. >He checks his hair and gives an exaggerated laugh.
  72. >Roll your eyes and give him a small smile.
  73. >Take a deep breath, then exhale; trying to clear your mind.
  74.
  75. 2/?
  76.
  77. "Yes, I make a lot of money from my music."
  78. >He gets more comfortable in his seat and leans forward.
  79. >"Go on?"
  80. "Well; I play at venues for some very important ponies, I play at events such as the Grand Galloping Gala and on multiple occasions I've met royalty!"
  81. >That last point will surely impress him!
  82. >"Yeah, I've met the royals a few times. Celestia's a bit crass behind closed doors."
  83. "I... r-really?"
  84. >Anon has met the royals?
  85. >"Sure. She can drink like, three times her weight in liquor; then she tends to get a bit horny. I usually leave at that point."
  86. >Your rear legs tighten at the word "horny".
  87. "Oh? Well ahh, no need to explain. I mean, if you wish you can do, but you don't have to--"
  88. >Dammit Octavia stop talking!
  89. "B-but I would be more than... Umm... Drat."
  90. >Anonymous grins at you.
  91. >"You're kind of adorable when you trip over your words, you know?"
  92. >He checks his watch and stands up.
  93. >"Anyway, I know it's only been a minute or two but I gotta get going. I have a thing with a person at a place. See you around, Octavia."
  94. >The human saunters off, arms swinging by his sides without a care in the world.
  95. >Hastily pick up the newspaper and open it, hiding your blush-ridden face behind it.
  96. >Looking down between your legs, your seat is wet again.
  97. >This cannot be happening.
  98. >Not now! Not here!
  99. >Glance over your shoulder.
  100. >All the other patrons seem to be occupied, talking amongst themselves.
  101. >Pulling your hat further down towards your eyes, you stand up and get away from the restaurant as fast as you can.
  102. >As you walk away, a stallion in a suit sits down where you were.
  103. >"Hey, why's this seat sticky?!"
  104.
  105. >Your chat with Anon was certainly unexpected, but you still had a few more precious moments with him.
  106. >Now to see what his thing was.
  107. >Proceeding down the path you saw him take, you try to remain inconspicuous.
  108. >That meant ditching the hat you bought, despite its ample protection from the sun.
  109.
  110. 3/?
  111.
  112. >Anon seems to be heading towards a lake.
  113. >A distant orange shape is waiting for him.
  114. >You notice a small bush next to a tree overlooking the lake from a hill.
  115. >It's the perfect vantage point.
  116. >Rushing into it, you peer out at the pair.
  117. >Anon and a pony wearing a hat laugh about things you can't hear.
  118. >Without warning, the orange pony leaps into the shallows, playfully splashing around and covering Anon with water.
  119. >Rather than getting annoyed, Anonymous instead reaches around himself and begins to remove his clothing.
  120. >Your breath catches in your throat and the inner fire you had thought gone is rekindled more ferocious than ever before.
  121. >You can hardly believe what you're seeing.
  122. >Anon strips down until he is wearing a small undergarment covering his lower half
  123. >Clothing was confusing enough with ponies, but this just baffles you.
  124. >But it doesn't even matter.
  125. >Standing tall and proud with his hands on his hips, Anon shouts at the orange pony, who is swimming backwards away from the shoreline and laughing.
  126. >He leaps into the water, covering more distance than the pony in a fraction of the time.
  127. >You are entranced.
  128. >Between your legs, an itch has started that refuses to leave.
  129. >Send a hoof down there to tend to it.
  130. >Alone in your bush, you watch the oblivious human hungrily; taking in his muscles, his movements and his attitude towards his companion.
  131. >Meanwhile, your hoof is working away at yourself with an insatiable fervour.
  132. >Anon and the pony swim around and splash each other.
  133. >A few times he even picks her up and throws her to the deeper parts of the lake.
  134. >Laughter and splashing fills the air.
  135. >If one were to stand close enough to your bush, they could hear you - openly moaning and grinding your hoof against your soaking wet honeypot with a passion you thought you only had for your music.
  136.
  137. 4/?
  138.
  139. >As Anon lifts his friend high up with his arms, ready to throw her again, you climax.
  140. >Shoving a hoof in your mouth you left out a muffled cry and spray juices all over the leaves behind you.
  141. >He throws her, and continues to play around; still completely unaware of the depravity going on just up the hill from him.
  142. >You pant and sigh happily as his glistening muscles glow in the mid-day sun.
  143. >As much as you would like to do this all day, watching him and rubbing yourself, he and his friend eventually decide that they should be going.
  144. >You frown.
  145. >It hasn't been that long, surely?
  146. >Disappointed, you watch as Anon dries off using a towel provided by his friend.
  147. >As he gets dressed again, you wonder why he would want to wear clothes on a day as hot as this.
  148. >Watch in anticipation as he waves his good byes and the two go their separate ways.
  149. >You wait behind until the coast is clear before exiting your bush.
  150. >Now what?
  151. >Anon went back to town, and his friend towards Sweet Apple Acres.
  152. >Wait, was that Applejack?
  153. >Oh, that makes a bit more sense.
  154. >Didn't she ruin the gala as well?
  155. >You think on this as you trek back to town, the sun bearing down on you relentlessly.
  156. >Even with the sporadic trees dotted around the landscape, there isn't enough shade for you.
  157. >The sun really doesn't do good things to you.
  158. >Pick up the pace of your trotting as you draw nearer to the edge of town.
  159. >With luck you can find a nice cafe to have a drink in before heading back out.
  160. >Turn a corner around a building and walk into a pony.
  161. >Blurt out your apologies and help--
  162. "Rarity!"
  163. >"Oh! Octavia! I was looking everywhere for you. You left me the most ominous note on the table and I got worried!"
  164. >Giggle at her fussing.
  165. "It's fine, Rarity, I assure you. How are the dresses coming along?"
  166. >"I just finished them, actually!"
  167. "So soon?"
  168. >Rarity raises an eyebrow.
  169. >"Darling, it's three in the afternoon."
  170.
  171. 5/?
  172.
  173. >Stare at her.
  174. >Three.
  175. >How.
  176. >How?!
  177. >"Everything alright? You've gone a bit pale."
  178. >She frowns.
  179. >"It's the sun again, isn't it? Not to worry, I saw the most marvellous giant hats around here somewhere..."
  180.
  181. >Sit indoors and watch the world go by.
  182. >"So, have you seen Anonymous today?"
  183. >Snap out of your day dreams and turn to her.
  184. "Oh, yes, actually; he and I had a lovely, if not a bit short, conversation."
  185. >Rarity beams at you.
  186. >"Wonderful! Oh, you know, I was thinking about this as I was doing my client's order, we should both work together to get him!"
  187. >A wry smile works its way onto your face.
  188. "Really now? I must admit, I've had the same thought."
  189. >Rarity clops her hooves together excitedly.
  190. >"Ooh this is going to be -fun-!"
  191. >She clears her throat and smooths her mane.
  192. >"Though we must still act with a degree of dignity about this, yes?"
  193. >You briefly recall your moment of fiery passion in a bush a while ago.
  194. >Sip your drink and try not to seem too flustered.
  195. "Yes yes, of course."
  196. >Suck in some breath and exhale, clearing your head.
  197. "So. Where do we start?"
  198.
  199. >Rarity giggles.
  200. "You're absolutely sure this will work?"
  201. >"Well if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world, is it?"
  202. >Your friend wraps a hoof around your shoulders and pulls you closer into a hug.
  203. >"It'll be fine, trust me."
  204. >You both stroll up to Anonymous, who is stood at a market stall surveying the goods.
  205. >"Four bits for a carrot? Come on, man, don't be like that."
  206. >He doesn't sound too thrilled.
  207. >"Gotta make a living somehow, pal."
  208. >Neither does the stall pony.
  209. >You walk right up to the stallion.
  210. >He turns to you, and his eyes light up.
  211. >They dart all over your body, lingering on your flanks for a while before returning to your face.
  212. >"I-- Uhh, y-yes, miss? How can I help a lovely mare like yourself?"
  213. >He tries to smile.
  214. >Give him a confident smirk.
  215. "A pony over there needed to talk to you."
  216.
  217. 6/?
  218.
  219. >Gesture towards the alley at the other side of the marketplace.
  220. >He looks from it, to you, then back to the alley.
  221. >A wary look develops on his face.
  222. >"You sure about that, darlin'?"
  223. >Bat your eyelids and bite your bottom lip.
  224. "Come now, why would I lie?"
  225. >He goes a deep shade of red and wipes his forehead.
  226. >"Y-yes, I mean no, no of course not. What did he look like?"
  227. >You give him a haphazard description and the stallion walks off, leaving the stall unattended.
  228. >Rarity jumps into action.
  229. >"Anonymous! How -are- you?"
  230. >Anon, shocked at the pair of you now suddenly converging on him takes a step back.
  231. >"Uhh, hey, girls, just buying some stuff."
  232. >He glances at the store pony, who disappears into a crowd.
  233. >"Kinda needed that guy though."
  234. >Rarity chuckles.
  235. >"You don't need him, Anon~"
  236. >Pluck a large carrot from the stand and sniff at it.
  237. "Oh my, Rarity look at this carrot!"
  238. >Your friend looks at it in mock surprise.
  239. >"-Well-! Just look at this handsome... uhh, carrot!"
  240. >Anonymous looks bewildered.
  241. >Take a long sniff of it.
  242. "So fragrant..."
  243. >Rarity licks the entire thing from the bottom to the rounded tip, leaving it glistening in the sun.
  244. >"Unf~ So flavoursome! Anonymous, darling, care to sample this carrot?"
  245. >The pair of you molest and lick the carrot together.
  246. >Anon seems to be paralysed with confusion.
  247. >"I-I don't... What. What?"
  248. >Rarity starts looking nervous.
  249. >"Anon! Do you want this carrot?"
  250. >She suckles on the tip.
  251. >"This long... hard... juicy, carrot?"
  252. >You plant a kiss on the tip of it and look Anon straight in the eyes.
  253. "I'd say it's worth it~"
  254. >Anon looks over his shoulder, then back at the pair of you.
  255. >The carrot is soaking wet and being held between two pairs of front hooves.
  256. >"Yeah, no. You can keep it. I'll just uhh, be going."
  257. >He turns and walks away at a brisk pace.
  258. >Rarity frowns.
  259. >"Drat. I was sure that would work."
  260. "I had my reservations before, but..."
  261. >"It always works on other stallions!"
  262.
  263. 7/?
  264.
  265. "How can you be sure?"
  266. >Rarity nods at something behind you.
  267. >Looking in that direction, you see the store pony stood gawping at you, trying to hide something between his legs.
  268. >Sigh and set the carrot back on the stand.
  269. "Let's just be going then. Any other ideas?"
  270. >"Well, I read this one in a story..."
  271.
  272. >Sit at Rarity's kitchen table, groaning.
  273. >Your friend, never to be outdone by her body's limitations, chugs chocolate ice-cream like a machine.
  274. >Watch her with a pained expression.
  275. >Another tub of ice-cream is emptied and carelessly tossed aside onto a pile.
  276. >She stares into space and speaks in a dreary tone.
  277. >"Seven attempts."
  278. >Grunt and reach forwards, dragging a tub towards you and digging in with a spoon, even though you don't want to.
  279. >"Seven attempts to get that damnable ape."
  280. "Ape...?"
  281. >"Humans are highly... evolved monkeys."
  282. "Monkeys and apes aren't the same..."
  283. >Rarity blinks.
  284. >Then starts sobbing.
  285. >Drag yourself off the chair and to Rarity's side.
  286. >Wrap your hooves around her and hug.
  287. >Your inability to move properly means you collapse to the floor, dragging her with you.
  288. >Rarity blubbers on about how terrible at life she is while you nod and shovel strawberry ice-cream into your mouth.
  289. >After a few more minutes (40) you and your friend are laid on your backs, staring at the kitchen ceiling.
  290. >You get nudged in your side.
  291. >"Hey."
  292. "Nnrrf..."
  293. >"You realise that we -have- to continue, right?"
  294. >Turn your head and look at your friend.
  295. >She's wearing a mask of determination.
  296. >"We haven't come this far to be shut down by Anonymous. We -will- get him."
  297. >Nod slowly.
  298. "I don't think I like him any more; romantically, that is."
  299. >"Of course not! But we have to do this as a matter of principle. I don't know about you but I never leave a dress unfinished."
  300. "Nor a symphony half played."
  301. >"Precisely! We have to be stronger than..."
  302. >She looks around at the tear/ice-cream stained floor.
  303. >"...Than this!"
  304.
  305. 8/?
  306.
  307. >You start getting more motivated just listening her.
  308. >"We have to be bold!"
  309. >Yeah.
  310. >"We have to be better!"
  311. >Yeah!
  312. >"We have to see this through to the end, and I swear on my little sister's virginity we shall!"
  313. "Yeah!... What?"
  314. >Rarity, ignoring you, sits up.
  315. >"We -shall- rut that human! Not due to any sort of romantic interest or lust, but because we have to!"
  316. >Tears start forming in your eyes at the majesty of Rarity's speech.
  317. >"If not for us, then for every mare in Ponyville who has been shut down by him!"
  318. >You would clap, but you can't find the strength to move.
  319. >"We shall stride forth and claim that which is ours! We shall know victory and get laid in the process!"
  320. >Rarity stands up.
  321. >Takes a step.
  322. >Then collapses.
  323. >...
  324. >After a second of silence you hear a low whine.
  325. >"Ooooctyyyy..."
  326. >Groaning, you roll yourself over to her and pull her into another floor-cuddle.
  327. >The pair of you stay there for about an hour, with you stroking Rarity's mane with a spare hoof and using the other to slowly consume the last tub of ice-cream.
  328. "So this is my life."
  329. >"Mrrf."
  330.
  331. >Wake up the next day feeling utterly dreadful.
  332. >Your body complaining, you force yourself out of bed and towards the bathroom where you promptly hurl the contents of last night's binge-eating into the toilet.
  333. >Spend a minute to reflect on how you got here.
  334. >Satisfied with the notion that this trip might not have been worth it, you brush your teeth and try to make yourself seem presentable.
  335. >Opening your bedroom door, you see Rarity's open at the same time.
  336. >The two of you blink and size each other up.
  337. >She looks just as terrible as you.
  338. >Eventually she manages a weak smile.
  339. >"The morning after is always the worst part..."
  340. >She takes the lead and trots downstairs, legs wobbling slightly.
  341. >As you sit at the table, Rarity pours you both coffee.
  342. >Both of you drink in silence, enjoying the peaceful morning and fragrance of coffee.
  343.
  344. 9/?
  345.
  346. >You are the first to break the tranquillity.
  347. "So..."
  348. >Rarity sips her coffee and sighs.
  349. >"So."
  350. >Rub your face with a hoof, trying to force yourself to wake up.
  351. "Let's not do that again while we're trying to focus on getting Anon."
  352. >Rarity turns her head towards the rubbish bin, which is stuffed to overflowing with empty and dripping ice-cream tubs.
  353. >"...Agreed."
  354. >She yawns.
  355. >"Though I must say, it was fun to do it with a friend for once."
  356. >The mare reaches forwards and affectionately touches your leg.
  357. >Smile wearily at her.
  358. "Any time, Rarity. Just ahh, not any time soon."
  359. >This makes your friend giggle softly.
  360. >"We should try something a bit more sinister."
  361. "Oh?"
  362. >"Yes, I was thinking that we should recruit my friend Twilight."
  363. >Cock your head.
  364. "Won't bringing more ponies into this only complicate the situation?"
  365. >Rarity taps her chin and thinks for a second.
  366. >"Oh dear, I hadn't thought of that..."
  367. "Well what did you have in mind?"
  368. >"Ah, you see, a while ago Twilight came up with the most ingenious spell, called... oh what was it..."
  369. >Another second of musing and she smiles.
  370. >"Oh yes, the "Want it need it" spell."
  371. >Make an intrigued noise over your coffee and motion for her to continue.
  372. >"Quite an amazing thing to see. The enchanted object would become the sole desire of all those that saw it."
  373. "'All'?"
  374. >"...Well half the town ended up going ballistic over a small stuffed doll and Princess Celestia had to come and sort it out."
  375. >Raise an eyebrow at Rarity.
  376. "And your plan was to use this on... What, exactly?"
  377. >She blushes.
  378. >"W-well, that was the tricky part but I thought that maybe it's something that can only be seen by, ahh, Anon."
  379. >Rarity wets her lips nervously and leans in to whisper in your ear.
  380. >...
  381. "RARITY!"
  382. >"It was just a suggestion!"
  383. >Your cheeks become a deep red and you start spluttering.
  384. "B-but your horn would have to... Oh please say you won't do it!"
  385. >"L-like I said! We don't have to!"
  386.
  387. 10/?
  388.
  389. >You shudder at thought of Rarity's horn poking you there.
  390. >Absolutely revolting.
  391. >...
  392. >Yet the mental image won't leave.
  393. >You both sit in an awkward silence for a while.
  394. "S-so you won't do it, right?"
  395. >"No no, uh, of course n-not."
  396. >...
  397. "...Good. It would be, um--"
  398. >"Awkward."
  399. "Yes. Exactly. Awkward."
  400. >The two of you catch each others eyes for a moment then immediately look away.
  401. "Any... Other ideas?"
  402. >"We could always--"
  403. >She clears her throat.
  404. >"Could always just take him out for dinner and woo him there?"
  405. >Nod slowly.
  406. "Sounds reasonable. The both of us together?"
  407. >"Of course, I wouldn't want to send you in there alone... and also I would want you with me. For support, and such."
  408. >Reach over the table and pat Rarity's hoof.
  409. "Aww, I'll always be there for you, Rarity."
  410. >A few seconds pass.
  411. >You haven't removed your hoof from Rarity's.
  412. >...
  413. "I have to go to the bathroom."
  414. >"Me too."
  415. >You both jump up and go to separate bathrooms.
  416. >Stare at yourself in the mirror for a few minutes.
  417. >Breakfast shouldn't be so intense.
  418. >At least you have something to look forward to.
  419. >Dinner with Anonymous should hopefully bring him around.
  420. >Though you might have to get something nice to wear.
  421. >With luck, all will go well.
  422. >If it doesn't...
  423. >At least you'll have Rarity to support you.
  424. >And you her.
  425. >...Why is it so hot in here?
  426.
  427. >Emerging from the boutique, you both set off towards Anon's house.
  428. >The two of you chat away and get lost in your conversation.
  429. >"So I said "Oatmeal? Darling are you out of your mind--" Oh, we're here!"
  430. >Anon's door stands before you.
  431. >Rather than just wait for the courage to crop up, you march forward and bang your hoof on the door.
  432. >A minute later it opens and Anon peers out.
  433. >"...You two again. ...Not got any custard this time, have you?"
  434. >You and Rarity scoff at this.
  435. "No!"
  436. >"Don't be ridiculous, darling. It was mustard."
  437. >Anon warily opens his door wider.
  438.
  439. 11/?
  440.
  441.
  442. >"Then what? Yesterday was weird, guys. I don't wanna do that again."
  443. "Duly noted. We have a proposal."
  444. >"Already? But we've only just met!"
  445. "Yes, but it's--..."
  446. >Glare at him.
  447. >Anon grins back.
  448. >Sigh with frustration, just wanting to get this over with.
  449. "Dinner with us. Yay or neigh?"
  450. >He smirks when you say "neigh".
  451. >"Depends where it is. I don't do fancy restaurants."
  452. >Rarity rolls her eyes and nudges you.
  453. >"He doesn't do fancy restaurants..."
  454. >You both snicker.
  455. >Anon folds his arms.
  456. >"Not looking good for you both if you keep this up, you know."
  457. >Rarity composes herself and steps forward.
  458. >"Anonymous. Let us not beat around the bush."
  459. >You twitch at "bush".
  460. >"As an apology, we want to take you out to a locale of your choosing for dinner tonight. It is a simple yes or no question."
  461. >He rubs his stubble thoughtfully.
  462. >"No strings attached?"
  463. >"That's impossible, darling; I'm a seamstress."
  464. >Rarity beams at you.
  465. >Give her a flat look.
  466. >She glances between both you and Anon.
  467. >"...Oh, so when you both make jokes it's fine, but the moment -I- decide to get in on the fun you're both suddenly above it?"
  468. >Anon looks over his shoulder.
  469. >"Look, I really need to get back to what I was doing. Yeah, sure, I'll accept, but you're both paying."
  470. "Of course. Eight o' clock sound good?"
  471. >"Sure, sure, goodbye."
  472. >He slams the door.
  473. >Rarity pokes your shoulder.
  474. >"Good job! Now, let's go home and make dresses for tonight!~"
  475. >With a spring in her step, she takes off towards her boutique.
  476. >You shake your head, smiling, and follow her.
  477. >She's a playful one at times.
  478. >Your eyes follow her tail, swishing about.
  479.
  480. "Hey, Rarity?"
  481. >"Hm?"
  482. "...I thought your joke was funny."
  483.
  484. >Proportions in all the right places...
  485.
  486. 12/12
