  1. Capoeirista (Monk archetype)
  2. While many monks seek enlightenment from pilgrimages or meditation, some seek it through performance in the company of crowds. Blending dance and martial arts, capoeiristas use swift flowing movements to strike with palms, kicks, elbows, knees, and the occasional tail or claw, one right after another.
  3.
  4.
  5. Alignment: Capoeristas may be of any alignment.
  6.
  7. Proficiencies: Capoeristas are proficient with light armor, but no weapon proficiencies are given innately; those given by feats, traits, or any other source are unaffected. She gains the Unarmed Training feat from the Equipment combat sphere; if she already has this feat, she may instead choose a feat she qualifies for from the Dual Wielding or Open Hand sphere. In addition, if this is this character’s first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their choice.
  8. This modifies weapon and armor proficiencies.
  9.
  10. Combat Training (Ex): A capoeirista is considered an adept practitioner, gaining spheres and talents as appropriate. Capoeristas use Charisma as their practitioner modifier. This replaces the unarmed strike and bonus feats class features.
  11. Martial Arts: At 1st level, the capoeirista gains the Dual Wielding and Open Hand combat spheres as bonus talents. If the capoeirista already possesses one of these base spheres, she may instead choose any one combat talent she qualifies for from the associated sphere; if she possesses both, she may choose one combat talent for each.
  12.
  13. Whirlwind Dance (Ex): Starting at 1st level, whenever the capoeirista uses the attack action to attack with an unarmed strike, she may make one additional attack with an unarmed strike as a swift action. This attack cannot be made with the same weapon or body part as any previously-used attack done in this turn. The capoeirista must decide whether or not to use this ability before making the first attack roll for her attack action. Attacks made using this ability apply the capoeirista’s full Strength bonus to the damage roll, regardless of whether the weapon is wielded with two hands or with an off-hand. This extra attack can be used alongside the extra attack granted by the Dual Wielding sphere, but the Dual Attack penalty to the attack roll will apply to the attack made by Whirlwind Dance as well. At 11th level, the capoeirista may perform yet another attack with a Whirlwind Dance, but all attacks in the sequence take a -2 penalty on their attack rolls when doing so; this penalty stacks with the penalty from Dual Attack.
  14. This replaces flurry of blows.
