- A fanciful dream
- Apparantly, it was a moving in party for me by a large group of friends.
- Right away, I felt something off about it. These are various people from my life that never hanged out with each other - middle school, high school, college, and so forth.
- It bothered me so much that I start intergoting one
- "What college are we going to"
- "Does it really matter?"
- "I guess it doesn't," I realized, and soon find myself enjoying the festivities.
- Then I woke up. An afternoon nap under the shaded summer sun, with the two dogs as my head and foot rest.
- Wanting to see what's next, I lie still and forces myself to fall back sleep again.
- We're running, as fast as we can on a gravel path, barely catching our breaths. Besides us a large artificial lake, longer than it is wide.
- A large park? It seems to go on forever. We seem late for something, but for me I was just enjoying letting my heart race along 4 other friends.
- 2 other girl and boy. I think my college roommate and his girlfriend were in the lead, but I wasn't far behind.
- Feels like I'm interested in the other girl. Maybe we're dating?
- We slow down our paces, and finally reached a log bridge by the lake. Maybe a long tree root instead? It seem held together by branches and ropes. With small rock outcrops inbetween, it connects one side of the lake with another.
- One after another we passed the other side. I felt a tinge of pride as I crossed it rapidly. A good sense of balance always been a strength of mine.
- By the otherside of the log bridge is an outdoor stage, with some wooden bench nested between. Looks like we made it in time.
- Sweaty and tired, we piled in on some empty seats. Next on the guest lecture schedule:
- DURAN DURAN
- I don't even like duran duran.
