- Walk backwards against the Minor League door to open it without talking to Jolene
- **Notes**
- ● Jumping while waiting for the Guards delays him from entering the room. Try to avoid doing any actions during this time aside from equipping badges/changing partners.
- ● The fastest way to end a non-attack turn is to swap partners.
- ● The fastest way to fulfill "use at least one Special Move" is to fail an Earth Tremor. If you do this, it may be a good idea to appeal on turns where you can't attack, or to use stylish moves to refill your Star Power in case this condition comes up again.
- ● Jumping on spiky enemies DOES count towards "take damage at least 5 times." Swapping to Goombella might be a good idea before these fights.
- ● Superguarding DOES NOT count as an attack in the event of "don't attack for the first three turns."
- ● If you get "don't attack for the first three turns" on any fight, running away DOES NOT fail the condition.
- ● If you're overleveled already and you get "don't use items" on a fight where you'd normally use a Fright Mask, you can run from the fight and get a new condition. This wastes about a minute, so it's not recommended unless necessary.
- ● If you're ever running from a fight for a different reason, make sure that you fulfill the condition BEFORE running away, or else you will drop a rank and need to refight your last opponents.
- ● It's not too common, but the fight order can vary.
- For the 5 fights you use Fright Masks on, you have 2 extra. Ideally, you want to exit Major League with 41 or 42 Star Points. Any more and you'll level on Doopliss 1 (30 second timeloss). Any less and you won't level on Dark Bones (you might need to get into Peril beforehand if you need to kill the Phantom Ember in the Fire Bar room).
- **#19 Goomba Bros (5 Goombas)**
- ● Standard: Koops: Power Shell
- ● Don't Attack With Partners: Multibounce
- ● Don't Use FP: Earth Tremor

- ● Standard: Koops: Fright Mask, Mario: Jump (if 1 Koopa doesn’t run)
- ● No Items: Jumps + Shell Tosses
- **#17 Pokey Triplets (3 Pokeys)**
- ● Standard: Fright Mask
- ● No Items: Quake Hammer + Power Shell
- **#16 Dead Bones (3 Dull Bones)**
- ● Standard: Power Shell (or Multibounce if you're saving FP)
- ● Don't Attack With Partner: Multibounce
- ● Don't Use FP: Hammer + Shell Toss
- **#15 Spike Storm (2 Spinies and 1 Lakitu)**
- ● Standard: Koops: Fright Mask, Mario: Spin Jump (if the Lakitu doesn’t run)
- ● No Items: Earth Tremor
- **#14 Mind Bogglers (1 Pale Piranha, 1 Dark Puff, 1 Pider)**
- ● Standard: Fright Mask, Hammer + Shell Toss (If the Piranha doesn't run)
- ● No Items: Gale Force
- **#13 Punk Rocks (3 Hyper Bald Clefts)**
- ● Standard: Thunder Rage
- ● No Items: Quake Hammer + Power Shell
- **#12 Bomb Squad (4 Bob-ombs)**

- ● No Items: Multibounce + Power Shell
- **#11 Hand-It-Overs (2 Red Bandits, 2 Green Bandits)**
- ● Standard: Koops: Fright Mask, Mario: Power Bounce (if 1 Bandit doesn’t run)
- ● No Items: Gale Force
- **#10 Armored Harriers (before the Yoshi egg hatches)**
- ● Mario: Run Away
- Note: If you get “Appeal at least once”, “Appeal 3 times”, “Take damage at least ‘n’ times” or “Use at least 1 special move”, you must fulfill the battle condition before you run away or else you will fight Rank 12 again, which is randomly generated between Minor League fighters.
- Yoshi hatches and joins your party
- Sleep in the bed before the next fight if you're not at 8+ FP
- **#10 Armored Harriers (after Yoshi)**
- ● Standard: Gulp x2
- ● Level 4: BP

- ● Don't Use Hammer: Earth Tremor
- ● Don't Attack With Partner: Earth Tremor
- ● Don't Use FP: Earth Tremor
- **#8 Poker Faces**
- ● Standard: Quake Hammer
- Note: You’ll want to fail this condition no matter what so you start de-ranking immediately. Getting “don’t use hammer” is good luck here. If you get something like “don’t switch partner out” then swap with partner and then Quake Hammer. Or if you get “don’t use items” then use your Honey Syrup. You just have to disobey what he says and figure out the fastest way to beat them.
- Note 2: Sometimes this fight will be Shell Shockers, although it is rare. This is bad luck and you just have to attack them until they’re dead.
- After you get to Rank #8, Get the Super Hammer
- Break the block in the Minor League Locker Room
- Get the Dubious Paper confiscated
- **#8 Poker Faces**
- ● Fail the condition and run away
- **#9 Tiny Spinies**
- ● Fail the condition and run away
- **#10 Armored Harriers**
- ● Run Away (use your Honey Syrup if you didn't use it to fail a previous condition)
- You’ll want to manipulate your HP to be as low as possible and FP at least 3. You can sleep in the bed before the Armored Harriers fight and let them damage you a few times to put yourself in a good position.
- [section=The Great Tree pt. 2]
