Background: Like her sister, Meilin (or just Mei) was born in Beijing, China with her parents, younger sister, and younger brother. Mei always had a curiosity and a drive to explore. That's how she was able to get into dance/performing, art, academics, sports, etc; which her parents supported. That was also why she was so popular at school. She enjoyed all of these things, like dance and performance, alongside her younger sister. Due to being great at all of these, Mei was always cherished and praised by her family. Unfortunately, it had gotten to her head. She started to become snobbish and a prideful princess, sometimes bragging about her success. However, her act did not waver her parents praise, since they continued to support her. When Mei heard about auditions to become a k-pop trainee at SM, she had to try out with her sister.

Meilin's mother. She is supportive of her daughters, especially Meilin. It can be quite obvious to everyone but Meilin that Lihua favorites her.

Meilin's father. He favorites her as well, and can be very protective of her.

Meilin's younger sister (currently eighteen). She often unintentionally provokes jealously from Daiyu, since she is good at almost anything and considered "the perfect child."
- Huang Jing
Daiyu's younger brother. He can be a smartass, a pest, and a brat, not only to Meilin, but to pretty much anyone. But Meilin handles it well, by belittling him.

Onstage Persona: Mei is very energetic and to be honest, almost perfect onstage. Her movements seem to be on point, and she maintains a pleasant face. Rarely anyone has seen her make one mistake.

Offstage persona: Mei is very social and loves to interact with others/during interviews. However, she can get caught up with talking about herself too much.

Personality: First off, Meilin will seem too self centered and snobby about her talents. She can be ignorant and oblivious to other people's emotions, often hurting their feelings unintentionally. Considering her praise and expectations, Meilin is also a perfectionist, though many don't see her as very strict with herself. However perfect everyone thinks she is, she constantly feels like she is competing in a competition. Meilin has always had this need to reach her parent's expectations. Still, people often see her as an interesting person that attracts popularity due to her exciting persona. Despite being a perfectionist, she is not afraid to have fun.
