  2. Aside from this paste being for those streams that aren't long enough to be their own paste I am also going to make this a sort of compendium for her personality displaying stories as well as whatever life story she tells. So if I make larger paste with a lot of those in it I will place them here as well, in case you wonder why you are reading the same thing twice.
  3. This paste is going to be a continuously updating paste that is going to primarily focus on life-stories or conversations that showcase her personality. I will place the summaries in stream chronological order with the newest at the top.

  11. Disclaimer: Due to getting tripped up on her explanation and mixing up the actors of the story I asked for a proof-read from someone, who clarified it for me. Other than mixing up some actors nothing else was off.
  12.
  13. >Famous for having a messy locker(32:05)
  14. As she is moving chests and equipment away from her building spot she gets a bit into how this sort of proper sorting and categorizing is uncommon for her and that she does this for the sake of the Usaken members so that they can easily use her chests. If it were just her then she wouldn't do this, stating that it would be bothersome.
  15. She then gets into the topic of that there are people who do get bothered by something being messy or unsorted but Pekora is the type of person who doesn't mind if it is a mess as long as she can still use it. Which leads her to say that while she understands the feeling of wanting to keep things clean and tidy, she feels that as long as something is still serviceable then isn't that alright?
  16. Which brings her to a story from her school years where she was famous for having a messy locker and during that time there was one particular instance where her friend did something that Pekora seriously couldn't understand why she did. That something being her friend suddenly showing the inside of her locker to a person, who visited their classroom, exclaiming excitedly; "Hey hey, look! Pekora's locker is super messy haha!".
  17. This unknown person who didn't really need to see her locker, could have been a friend, or a friend from a club but Pekora isn't sure, and the reason she came to the classroom in the first place might have been for a textbook but again she isn't sure, but for Pekora's friend to take it upon herself to just show Pekora's locker like that made her really want to say something along the lines of; "What the hell are you doing?" but in the end she couldn't bring herself to say it and instead gave an apologetic reply for having such a messy locker.
  18. She ends on a defiant note by stating that it can't be helped when it comes to lockers, they are a mess sometimes.

  20. Bonus summary - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUcD7QqD7Mg
  21. The same friend(Probably at least) was featured in another story from a DQ Builders 2 stream, where she briefly explained that she had a friend from her school-years that would often come to her during break to peek inside her locker and every time she'd call it messy, prompting Pekora to snap at her to sort it out herself if it bothers her so much. Although she complains about that friend saying it every time, her locker was in fact so messy it deserved that, she describes the mess as being on a whole other level.
  22. There were however times where she was embarrassed about her messy locker like when a friend from a neighboring classroom came by to borrow her textbook, at that time she'd become self-conscious about it and block the view with her body while searching for the textbook.

  27. >First Marshmallow - "Peko-chan, have you and mom ever quarreled before?"(29:30)
  28. She says they have and for an instant wonders if there even are families that don't end up quarreling sometime, but then takes it back and says that there probably might be such families, but for her family there has been quarrels, although not as of late. But she says that during her rebellious age they used to fight a lot because when she was young she was the type to snap from even something trivial. She reassures the viewers that these days she is ladylike so she doesn't get angry like that anymore but during those times it was really bad how easily she'd snap.
  29. From that she says that while she doesn't know what kind of image the nousagi have of her mother but when she really wanted to say something, she would, and when she'd get angry, she'd get really angry. And she says this because she thinks there might be people thinking that her mother is always gentle and calm but Pekora reiterates that when she lost her patience she spoke her mind without holding back and since Pekora was also pissed at the time she'd respond back with similar fury.
  30.
  31. However with that in mind there is one thing that makes her really glad she was born into the Usada family and that is that both her and her mother is the type to forget after they've slept, and since they are the type to forget say they fight at night, then Pekora would... She trails off trying to think about something they have fought over and eventually continues and states that generally when they were quarreling it was Pekora who would have done something bad. Her memory seems hazy as she loosely describes a situation where she had broken one of her brother's things or something along those lines, which caused him to get angry at her whereupon she'd defend herself saying it wasn't on purpose and as they were fighting she expected her mother to defend her but instead she'd take her brother's side, which would further anger her and she'd ask her mother why she never took Pekora's side and accuse her of favoritism.
  32.
  33. She reiterates that last point by saying that while there were incidents where her mother would punish both sides as was her usual method, there were also incidents where she'd take her brother's side to the point of making Pekora feel like she favorited her brother and that she never takes Pekora's side, and that would boil up into a quarrel between them. Then with that heat in the air Pekora would return to her room, yell that she doesn't care anymore and that maybe she'll run away from home, and her mother would respond with something similar like; "I don't care about a child that says stuff like that!"
  34. Then when morning comes they'd both just say good morning to each other as if nothing happened the other night, their family really is the type to no longer hold any grudges after a night's sleep.
  35. Someone in chat brings up that she still holds a grudge for her mother calling her a gorilla that one time. And Pekora laughs and says that it isn't like she brings up it up out of the blue every day, it is only when something makes her remember it that she berates her mother for it.
  36.
  37. >Third Marshmallow - "At what times do you get irritated with the listeners?"(36:01)
  38. She thinks for quite a while and asks if this is related to during stream or otherwise outside as well and figures that both are fine to take examples from. As she continues to ponder on an appropriate example the chat is in complete disarray, apologies and panicking peko emotes are thrown everywhere until she reads a comment that says; "None, there are none right?". She laughs hard at it and returns with a sharp voice that says; "Eh? You think there aren't such occasions? You thought I haven't gotten irritated before?" until she dispels the pressure with another laugh.
  39. Then she says that there aren't really any time like that, at least not to the point where she can say it happens all the time. But for a rather close example she brings up Monster Hunter and how when she is playing that she might see a comment like; "Oi, this guy is just running away from the monster, so bad", during those times she does get irritated because the reason she runs away is because she doesn't want to die clearly. But even if she gets irritated at that it doesn't get her so angry that she blocks anyone or anything.
  40.
  41. She tries to think about some more examples and quickly reflects on that when she started out there were a lot of things that irritated her* but as for recently, well there are things she has to deal with now as well. Instead of something that irritates her but more something she dislikes that she doesn't really mention as often is stuff like spoilers, and especially pigeons**.
  42. And she gets it, when Pekora decides to target someone with a prank in Minecraft it will excite some people who will go to that person's stream to tell them that Pekora is planning on doing something to them, and Pekora understands that even if she says not to do it, it will still happen so she figures it can't be helped, but it really is something she doesn't want to happen as she wants the person's natural reaction to her prank rather than them being on guard from the words carried by the pigeons. But even so it isn't something that makes her irritated but rather just something she wants people to stop doing.
  43.
  44. To go back to something that irritates her she brings up that when she ego-searches and find comments along the lines of; "Pekora, I liked you better before". Something like that annoys her because if he is going to say something then isn't it fine to leave out the "Ego-search" word as well, since it just gives her the feeling that they purposefully put it there to make her see it. Another example being something like; "Pekora , you've changed recently", each and everyone of these people attach an ego-search word to their tweets and she feels like there is no need to do that if they are just going to make tweets like that, and to at least make it so she doesn't see them. But after the initial anger she just thinks that; "That's Twitter". She especially dislike this because she hates the notion of being compared
  45.
  46. *No further details are given, but judging from the chat and some of my own rather loose knowledge of that time she had quite a few anti's after her when she started out which is what she is probably referring to
  47. **You are probably already familiar with the term(鳩飛ぶ) but in case not, she is referring to the act of going to another stream to tell that person that "Pekora is going to do XYZ"
  48.
  49. >Fourth Marshmallow - "After having become a vtuber, what has been your happiest and most painful moment?"(40:21)
  50. She thinks for a long time before saying that, for example when she is playing a game she likes and receives thanks from people involved with the game, saying how they are happy she played it and that they watched her and so on, that sort of stuff makes her really happy. She hams it up and says but of course, the fact that she met the nousagi is the number one thing, after all if she hadn't become a vtuber then she'd never meet all of the nousagi so the fact that she did makes her very happy. After that appeal she confidently says that this answer should suffice, but to be serious for a change she honestly thinks that hearing people be happy about her lives, and coming to her streams and so on, makes her very happy.
  51.
  52. As for most painful she says that more than she thought it would be, thinking about what she should do for each stream is tough for her. She thinks that if she didn't stream every day she'd probably be able to be more carefree about it, but since she streams practically every day she will always be thinking about what she should do for the next stream. If she is playing a long game then continuing that is an easy pick, but if she finishes one then what should she do for next stream? Playing her own favorite game is fine and all but she also wants to do the stuff that the chat has said they want to see. Thinking about these things was more difficult for her than she expected since she isn't the type of person to think about these things in a carefree manner.
  53. Something else is that since they need permission to play games that means that she won't be able to play something immediately as she gets the interest to do it which makes thinking about a schedule more difficult.
  54.
  55. >Fifth Marshmallow(48:46)
  56. This marshmallow comes from an utawaku loving nousagi that is impressed by her knowing so many songs from various genres and generations and is curious as to where she came to learn about them.
  57. She explains that the reason for that is that, when she was young, on top of going to karaoke a lot with her family she also really loved music programs. Programs like Mステ* and she thinks that Mステ was primarily the one for her since that program would often have songs played from ranking lists from various generations, and from that she often got interested and investigated the songs herself.
  58. There were also special type of broadcasts that were focused on people doing cover songs of popular songs which she also watched a lot and similarly got introduced to songs from there. Another program that she really loved and got a lot of songs from was ハモネプ**. While there were new songs performed there as well, there were a lot of teams that would perform old songs.
  59. All in all, because of her family's influence as well as the TV programs she watched and the fact that she liked both the melodies and the voices of the singers of the Showa era, those types of old songs became a hit with her.
  60.
  61. >Seventh Marshmallow - "Peko-chan, you are good a recitation, did you aspire to become a voice actor before?"(53:40)
  62. Her immediate answer is that she didn't and then laughs a bit and says that she hasn't been told that she is good at recitation, do people really say that? In that case she thinks people should go check out her first Hologra appearances and rethink that. The chat says they didn't mean it like that but rather the "Reading dialogue from games" sort of recitation and that drives Pekora onto revealing that she actually has qualifications for something, that isn't related to voice acting. She asks the chat to guess what it is and asks them not to say stuff like Kanji proficiency or English proficiency.
  63. Some people get it right and she reveals it to be qualifications to be a childcare worker, for example being a kindergarten teacher, aside from kids being a piece of cake to handle for her, she can also play the piano while singing. She loves kids and says that there are a lot of kids over at Pekoland.
  64. She says that the qualifications are not related to whatever she did before becoming a vtuber and that she only got the license but hasn't used it, it was taken so that she would have options should the time come where she needs to make a living.
  65. Someone later on says that he thinks she wouldn't be able to talk to the parents of the kids, like during parental meetings, and Pekora says that when in a situation where she has to talk then she will talk even if she gets stressed out from it, so they don't have to worry about that.*
  66.
  67. *This is said a couple of minutes after the last point but it was related to this section so I crammed it in.
  68.
  69. >Eight Marshmallow(59:56)
  70. This marshmallow asks her to honestly answer how messy her room is and he wants an applicable example as well. He then asks if she properly sorts it out herself because he himself is someone who can't so he was curious how it is for Pekora.
  71. She complains and asks why he pre-emptively decided on that her room must be messy since there is a chance it could be clean as well, and feels that the particular; "Just how messy is it?" is a rude assumption. But then she begins talking about a real example, and says that right now her room is full of all the gifts she's gotten and that the only space she has left is where her computer and her bed is, other than that there isn't even space enough to stand. She brings up that recently that even when she opens up the door there are too much stuff in the way so she can only open it halfway and the other day she even hit her elbow so hard she felt like it broke while forcing herself through the half open door.
  72.
  73. >Fifteenth Marshmallow - "Are there chatters you remember even though they aren't members?"*(2:32:55)
  74. She says there absolutely are, plenty of them, and says that memorizing is her specialty. She continues on and says that if it is someone who leaves comments then she'll remember, most likely, but if they are someone who doesn't, well then it would be difficult of course.
  75. After a while she mentions that there are white names that send her superchats and that confuses her and she'd like for them to tell her why. It goes a little while before she gets a superchat saying he prefers being a white commenter and she responds that she thinks that's fine.
  76.
  77. *They are referring to "White comments" as in people posting in the chat without being members.

  81.
  82. Disclaimer: I asked for a proof-read of this summary with special regards to the ending portion of "The refrigerator is a shared space and Pekomama's collective punishment style" and one sentence in "Wants to try moving out and be self-reliant" that I couldn't properly hear. Other than that I was told there wasn't anything of note.
  83.
  84. >Isn't really fond of carbonated drinks(3:22:41)
  85. After some talk about what she tends to drink the topic of Coca-cola gets brought up and she says that she hasn't drank Cola in a while, then adds on that she doesn't drink Cola if it is carbonated. She breaks off suddenly saying she has gotten an urge to drink Mitsuya Cider* and continues to say that if she hasn't drank a carbonated drink in a long time she gets an urge for it since in general she doesn't drink such drinks.
  86. Chat replies to her previously stated fact that she doesn't drink Cola if it is carbonated by asking if she isn't fond of carbonation, to which she replies that it isn't really that she is bad with it, but then retracts that and says that maybe it is precisely because she is bad with carbonation that she is at a point where she can drink Mitsuya Cider but not Cola, something like that, and adds on that the extent of her tolerance for carbonation is Alcohol and Mitsuya Cider and that for example, Fanta or Cola is something she doesn't drink.
  87. Someone asks her what is the difference and she doesn't really have good answer to it, maybe it is just a case of preference but she mentions that she drank stale Cola a long time ago which she found to be very sweet tasting. Someone brings up the strength of the carbonation in Cola and she agrees that it is so much it is difficult to drink.
  88. Pekora brings up that when she was young she similarly didn't drink carbonated drinks but everyone around her did so she was jealous of that since she too wanted to know what kind of taste they were experiencing. For that reason she would buy the same Cola and make it go stale so that she could find out what kind of taste it was.
  89. She also brings up that she can't gulp these drinks since it makes her throat feel terrible and it just makes her not want to keep drinking, therefore she just sips these drinks instead. It is also the reason she prefers something sweet but non-carbonated.
  90. She gets the question how she went about making the drink go stale and she explains that her brothers both loved carbonated drinks so she would on occasion take one of their half-drank bottles, shake it, bring it to her room to let it sit for some time until she opened it up and enjoyed that sweet tasting stale drink. The chat points out that wasn't that her brothers property and she says its fine, they are siblings after all so they'll forgive her right?
  91.
  92. *https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsuya_Cider
  93.
  94. >The refrigerator is a shared space and Pekomama's collective punishment style(3:26:33)
  95. After being called horrible for stealing her brothers Cola she defends herself by saying that the refrigerator is a shared space, so if there is nobody's name written on the item then it runs the risk of being taken by someone else. And because of that if there was something of her own that she really wanted to drink or eat then she would write her name on it. She states that it is something you have to do when living with siblings or anything that looks delicious will get eaten or drunk before you have a chance to enjoy it.
  96. In situations where somebody had taken someone else's item her mother would opt to lay the blame on both parties, saying that they both did something bad right? Pekora didn't agree with this and feels that the person who took the item that wasn't theirs is the one to blame, but to her mother it wasn't about who was the sole guilty party.
  97. The chat is collectively assuming that Pekora was the worst offender in these cases so they accuse her of being spoiled for complaining about the "Collective punishment" system when she'd benefit the most from it, and she counters that by stating that she also had her things taken from her by her brothers.
  98.
  99. >Summer is a shut-in's enemy(3:41:01)
  100. On the topic of seasons where she initially states that December is part of the Fall season before she tries again and gets it right, she is reminded of the fact that it is soon Summer and that ails her since in general it doesn't matter what season it is since she doesn't get out a lot but during Summertime it gets unbearably hot in her room which means she has to properly search for the remote control for the AC that she still hasn't begun searching for. After multiple grumbles about how she hates heat she also complains about how she has to clean her AC since it hasn't been used at all during winter and having had it be completely unused like that makes her worried, and it would be pretty bad if she doesn't clean it right?
  101. She says that even if she wants to clean it there is a lot of stuff underneath it so she can't get to it and pleads to the chat on what she should do. Someone brings up that the mold could be pretty bad and she groans and says that she'll call for her Mother to help her and wear a mask while cleaning since breathing in mold would be the worst for her throat.
  102. Someone else recommends ダスキン(Duskin)* and it is a name she has heard but doesn't know what they do so she asks and gets to searching, after a short while the chat tells her that it is a cleaning service. Her demeanor immediately changes as she realizes what that entails and she dejectedly says; "Ehh, I don't want to have to talk to someone"**. After a repetition she adds on that she doesn't want to have to talk to someone she doesn't know.
  103. After recovering she grumbles a bit and asks what would she even do while they are cleaning her AC? Before she realizes that she can just be in the living room and watch TV while they work.
  104.
  105. Someone asks her if she has a fear of strangers and she says that it isn't really like that in this case since isn't it more like you don't want a stranger to come into your room? It is more that kind of feeling, although she thinks about it for a second and feels that if it is a worker then it should be fine however she then says there is no space for the workers to enter anyways since her room is packed with the nousagi's love filled gifts, so even if she called them over there wouldn't be any space to make for them to be able to clean. There isn't even sufficient place to stand, it is on that level.
  106. Of course she is grateful for all the gifts despite using them in a negative context and says that there are still some that haven't been brought in.
  107.
  108. *A Japanese based company that focuses on cleaning services, in this case it would be for her AC
  109. **It is worth hearing her tone shift while reading this as it says more than any amount of words I could use https://youtu.be/0gcg-ixObSU?t=12940
  110.
  111. >Wants to try moving out and be self-reliant(3:37:25)
  112. Coming from the previous conversation of having almost no open space left in her room she grumbles that she wants a new house and wonders to herself is she should move out and become self-reliant, although she quickly says that she doesn't think she'd be able to but despite that she still wants to and it stems from the fact that her current room, that she brands as a kids room, is impossible to work with.
  113. Someone asks her if she has told her Mother about all her presents and she says she has and mimics her reply; "If there is anything in there that you don't need then you can give it to me ok?" to which Pekora responded that there are no unneeded items in there. Someone asks about presents that were sent to be given to her mother and Pekora reacts in slight surprise by confirming that there were presents that she got that were for her mother, alcohol for example.
  114.
  115. From that little detour she goes back to grumbling about wanting to try moving out soon enough but again reflects on that she'd probably die living alone, she wonders how she would fare living alone but when it comes to cooking for herself she proudly proclaims that she'd have no trouble with that. A Nousagi is worried about the fact that her streaming amount would decrease from moving out and Pekora initially says that there is no way that'd happen rather that it would increase, but then realizes that it probably wouldn't increase but remain the same because whenever she is at home there is nothing to do but stream so that's what she does, sleep, eat, stream, that's her routine and living alone wouldn't change that.
  116. Someone else brings up washing dishes and she reveals that while she can cook, she isn't good at washing up after her simply because she doesn't like doing it while she does like cooking, so she has no particular hardships with cooking but does so when it comes to washing. Someone resonates with her stating that it is annoying to wash dishes and she agrees and explains that she is so bad with it that she always leaves the dishes unwashed which causes her mother to become angry with her and tell her that if she uses it then she should wash it too, but she'll just be stubborn, refuse, and return to her room.
  117.
  118. A Nousagi is certain that her streaming would decrease and she once again denies it but says that if she lived alone and if she were to get a pet like a cat or a dog and there could be times where she'd play with the pet. To which she brings up the scenario that if she were to get a pet, and then Tweeted out that she is going to take a break from streaming today to play with her cat, what would the Nousagi do?
  119. The answers range from despair, to crying, to being unable to forgive her, to be able to forgive her if it was a cat, to "Once in a while is fine", to "I'd feel slightly sad". She found the last response particularly cute.
  120. She breaks off from that conversation by saying that she currently doesn't have any plans to move out even if she wants to try it, because if she chooses to go for it then she has to visit a realtor and other things.
  121. A Nousagi says that he would hope for a stream where she plays with the cat and Pekora wonders if they'd be fine with just her voice calling it cute, and then says that if she were to do a stream like that she'd at least want to have a cat camera on stream but she is afraid of the potential accident that could happen, say if a cat or dog suddenly knocks the camera over so that it reveals Pekora onto the stream or just accidentally filming anything personally identifying.

  126. Disclaimer: I asked someone to review this paste before finalizing it and he found one error in regards to the "Voice recording nervosity" section that I've corrected in accordance with his findings.
  127.
  128. >Changing class and making new friends(2:58:20)
  129. A nousagi who is going to switch classrooms for his third year of high-school, tells her that he is scared about switching classes since none of his friends are going to be in it. She reassures him that it will be fine and he'll definitely be able to make friends. But she agrees that coming into a new classroom with nothing but unknown people is a scary thought, one she also does not like, however for her she had the same class in middle school as in high school so for her there were no unknown people.
  130. She gets into the topic of making friends in a class of unknown people and says that first of all it starts where you are seated. Like for example she would try to speak to the person in front of her, then she draws up a scenario and says that for example when you are handing over the teacher's handouts, you look backwards and see a familiar character on one of the person's belongings, you can then exclaim that you know this character and if the mood feels good after that you can continue to have conversations here and there, and if you get the feeling that it isn't going to lead anywhere you can just turn back again. She says that it is the only way really when it comes to a new school term and when a nousagi replies in surprise that she did this of her own accord she responds that she thinks it is the only choice you have if it is the case of a classroom with nothing but unknown people.
  131. She continues and says that if someone she already knows is there then she'll go hang around them but for a situation where there are nothing but new faces like during her first year of middle school, then she must be the one to start a conversation because she thinks that she won't be able to make friends if she doesn't, therefore there was no choice from the start but to be the one initiating.
  132. She also mentions that since there are several people who worry about if they are able to make friends that also means there are people out there that will be relieved when spoken to.
  133.
  134. >Large scale collabs are different(3:02:22)
  135. After the previous conversation where she revealed a surprising social competence a nousagi tells her that he wants her to act that assertive in large scale collabs as well. She says that it is different because even if she doesn't speak the collab will still run along fine, and since she is afraid of the chance that one of her remarks end up being something stupid that causes the atmosphere to sour, she prefers to stick to her specialty as background noise(as she imitates her own laugh to give an example of her expertise). So she'll stick to being in the background and react to the conversations with her laughter and if she does get brought up she'll reply.
  136. She brings up another scenario she is afraid of causing in that if everyone is in high spirits being all chatty and she breaks in with a remark that causes everyone to go dead silent she'd end up crying, thinking she messed up. Because that is so scary for her she'd rather wait until she is asked rather than say something of her own accord.
  137. But she says that there are plenty of people who are able to speak freely and without these worries so it is all fine, as long as someone is keeping the conversation going Pekora will happily sit in silence and listen. She says that people who are able to speak freely like that are amazing people since Pekora herself is the type to wait and see. She is a person who scares easily, so she simply can't speak up in those situations.
  138.
  139. >Voice recording nervosity(3:05:50)
  140. A short while earlier she spoke about that she really enjoy editing videos but that she doesn't like the part where she has to record her own voice which prompted a nousagi to mention that he dislikes listening to his own voice, and she responds that at the start she felt the same like; "Uwa, it sounds like this?" but since she listens to hear own voice so often she eventually got used to it. Then she breaks off into the topic of how her voice sounds different when she records something compared to how she sounds on stream, she wonders if it is the fault of her nerves because every time she records something her voice gets a couple of notches higher, and it ends up making her feel unlike herself during those times.
  141. She gets the feeling like she must record this correctly and that it is probably for that reason her voice always gets higher during recording, it really is something she wants to fix about herself and says that the way she sounds on stream is the way she also wants to sound during recording too.
  142. A nousagi likens it to the time you receive a phone call from your mother and Pekora says that it might be like that, because when speaking to your mother your voice do get a little higher as well. Which makes her remember a story from her school days where her teacher displayed that phenomenon, it was a day where she felt sick and the teacher called home to her mother and when speaking to her mother his voice was higher than it normally was, enough for Pekora to notice it.
  143. However Pekora thinks that in that particular scenario it is probably the case of wanting to leave a good impression on someone since she gets the feeling that a low voice tends to produce a tense atmosphere as well and she brings up a story from her part-time job to emphasize that thought, in the story her throat was in a bad state causing her to murmur in a voice much lower than usual, so when she would speak she'd get the worried question if she is in a bad mood today, and she'd apologize and say she managed to catch a cold hence the rough voice, which would make the person relieved as they thought she was just in a bad mood.
  144.
  145. >Hates presenting in front of people(3:08:17)
  146. On the topic of nervousness and its effect on her she brings up that when she gets nervous she'll end up speaking very fast, as an example she brings up something she hates which is presenting in front of a crowd, when she does this her speaking will always become much faster than it normally would be. Her thoughts will constantly be; "I want to get this over with quickly". Then the people who were to evaluate her performance will tell her that they understand her feeling of wanting to end it quickly but that she should try speaking slower.
  147. A nousagi brings up that during the recent Sankisei collab she was speaking very fast at the start of the stream, and she says that it is probably because it was a long time since she was in a conversation with that many people.
  148. Her fast speaking would be so bad that she was told to keep a "Statement > Pause > " kind of thought process as she reads. And at the top of her manuscript it would tell her to speak really slowly and even if she ends up thinking she is speaking too slowly then in her case it would be fine and that she should continue like that.
  149. But she says that she learned from this and for her first presentation she made sure to tell the crowd that because of her nervosity she thinks that she might end up speaking too quickly and if that happens she wants them to raise their hand to let her know. After saying that she begun her presentation and sure enough she did start speaking quickly and then a few hands popped up and she could get herself back on track. Having said that in advance the presentation ran along perfectly and the people evaluating her said she did a real good job giving the crowd that warning before starting and that they didn't think she would say something like that.
  150. Someone says that it generally isn't something people are able to say and she says that since she had to do a lot of presentations if she doesn't say anything then every time everyone will think that; "Man this Pekora person speaks really fast", and if it were to be like that then it is better if she says something in advance because everyone would at any rate notice how fast she is speaking and how nervous she is.
  151. But despite all that even today she still isn't comfortable with presenting in front of people, it isn't something she likes.
  152.
  153. >A stream is different(3:11:52)
  154. The parallel to streaming gets brought up but she says it isn't the same, and sure she understands that there are people watching just like there are people watching during a presentation but on stream she is free to do what she wants so she doesn't feel nervous about it. Compare it to when she has to present something and she will be graded on her performance she gets that ever recurring feeling of; "I can't fail".
  155. Another big reason is that if she can't see the face of the person she is speaking to, like during a stream, then she feels much better about it and brings up a scenario that if every comment in the chat included a picture of their facial expression then she'd be probably become nervous about streaming too, for example in the case that they are writing 草 but their added expression isn't laughing at all.

  161. The object she is judging is an engagement ring that the owner was going to give to his girlfriend but before he could do so she broke up with him, and ever since then he hasn't been able to get rid of it.
  162. Her immediate verdict is to throw it away, even though it might be a painful thing to do since as long as he holds onto this ring he is going to have painful memories resurface. She continues to say that in her opinion she thinks that one should do away with objects that make you remember painful memories while retaining those that make you remember pleasant ones. And even if he holds onto the ring because it makes him remember how happy he was when he was with her, she thinks he must focus on his current happiness rather than dwell on a past one.

  167. >The reason for the tendency to rush things(1:44:27)
  168. A long segment in Makaimura brings her into the topic of questioning why she so impatient, and why she so hurriedly executes things. She has a reason for it that she is certain of, that has to do with both her family situation and birthday. She explains it in such a way that being youngest at home, and being born in January making her among the youngest in class(*), this combination made her feel like she was lacking in ability, since she feels that several months of age difference means an actual difference in performance.
  169. Someone asks her if she is impatient when it comes to living in general and she says it isn't like that but that she is prone to rushing the things she do and she can easily remember from her elementary school years where if they were cleaning up after themselves or pretty much doing anything she herself felt like it would be unacceptable for her to be the slowest, to be the one to delay everyone else, despite such a thing not being a big deal in reality. It basically became her way of trying to make up for her perceived lack of ability.
  170. From that time she got stuck in the train of thought that she has to hurry in whatever it is that she does. She thinks that these circumstances which caused this excessive self-consciousness is probably what caused her to become so incredibly impatient.

  177. >Morning reading class(9:25)
  178. During junior-high she had morning class that was dedicated to reading that she really hated since she didn't like reading novels. It was bad enough for her to find the class agonizing every time she had to be in it. The teacher eventually noticed that she wasn't reading and asked her why, she admitted that what she was reading wasn't interesting and that she isn't very good with this type of reading material, so the teacher lent her a book that he recommended, from the author 乙一(Otsuichi, mostly writes horror short stories). This novel was interesting to her so she kept on reading it happily and rounds off that she is grateful for that teacher remarking that he was a good one.
  179. She thinks back on what she used to read before that recommendation and there were times she forgot the book she was going to read so all she did was read a coursebook instead. The teacher noticed this and asked if she forgot her book, and she responded that she'll make do with a coursebook instead. She finishes saying that if it is a coursebook then anything is fine.
  180.
  181. Side note: A lot of people in the chat gave varying responses to this, some being confused as to why she didn't read manga or something else that interested her since their school allowed it and so on. Seems like her school was stricter in that regard and only allowed a certain type of book that she was generally uninterested in.

  188. >High school life(43:30)
  189. She gets into the topic of high school life and asks everyone in chat what they did during that time while she thinks for herself. The chat mentions that they continued club activities and it brings Pekora to mention that she stopped doing her club activities when she got into high-school, she doesn't give anymore details other than sounding fairly forlorn about it and mentioning that she did club activities in junior-high.
  190. Someone else brings up karaoke and it makes her reminisce about how the time when you were returning home from school was a time to stop by places to have fun, be it eating at McDonalds, going to a game center and the likes.
  191. She gets the question if she properly went to school, she laughs and says that there is a school at Pekoland and that she properly went there and that they don't have to worry about her being a sheltered princess to that degree
  192.
  193. >Solid Snake imitating friend of a friend(49:11)
  194. She remembers a funny story from her school years which came from a friend of hers who was really into voice actors. From this friend she got told a story about one of their male friends who always wanted to be a voice actor and eventually landed himself a voice acting interview of sorts. The interview was a group interview with several other people present although Pekora isn't sure how many, in any case this guy went to this interview and imitated Akio Ootsuka's voice, doing his self-introduction, and all the answers and replies in an imitated voice.
  195. Eventually the interview examiners told him that; "This isn't your natural voice right? Please speak as you would normally". So he did and while he was told his regular voice is fine it seems like he was rejected in the end. At the time of hearing this story Pekora thought that imitating the voices of existing people is a bad idea, but she wanted to applaud his bravery.
  196. Despite the tragedy of the story she thinks that having those kind of stories at hand to tell is a good thing since she didn't have any friends that wanted to be voice actors and hearing this story she thought that there are some really amusing people in her vicinity.
  197. She continues to say that she didn't have friends with amusing stories like these to tell and as she spends some time thinking if there is anything she can tell, she eventually doesn't come up with anything and says that she pretty much only had uneventful Internet friends.
  198.
  199. >Money cannot buy friends(53:08)
  200. Someone superchats her to give her some money she can use to make friends with, and she gives a short lecture on that friends are not something you can buy with money and that friends that are made with money are going to disappear the moment you can no longer keep spending on them
  201.
  202. >Alone but not in solitude(53:47)
  203. The lead up to this conversation comes from someone asking if she has a lot of friends. She speaks evasively for some time before saying that she has one on LINE, and if that person messages her she'll be too busy and end up ignoring the unread messages, this is more or less said as a joke as she remains rather evasive of the real reasons, however she continues and says while it is difficult to put into words, she pleads a bit to the chat and asks if they don't also sometimes feels like they don't want to respond, that it feels tiring to do.
  204. With that said she says that she doesn't look at her LINE at all and have notifications disabled since she is scared of the chance that her mother might text her during a stream and that it will be heard.
  205. She also mentions that lately she hasn't been looking at Discord either, although she looks at it from time to time(The way she says this gives the impression that she just opens it quickly to see if she got anything she needs to respond to then goes right back to ignoring it).
  206. Someone throws in a jab at her and says; "Ah, so that's why you have no friends" and she says it isn't like that, and that it isn't like she wants to be alone(独り) but that she does want to be alone(一人) and says she'll explain it with kanji.
  207.
  208. Nuance at work here.
  209. She puts up 一人O and 独りX on the screen to signify which "Hitori" she means. From what I researched the meaning of 一人 more or less refers to the number of people, as in just the fact that you are alone, in number, rather than in a social sense.
  210. 独り on the other hand has more of a meaning towards solitude and isolation. It's meaning is more geared towards you being in a state where there is no one else that you can contact or engage with.
  211. In short, she wants to be alone in the sense that it is just her around, but she doesn't want to be in a state of solitude.
  212.
  213. But she lightens the mood a bit by saying that the Nousagi are all there so it is fine.
  214. Back to her LINE friend that she is ignoring she says that despite her not reading the unread messages that friend has still not cut contact with her and from time to time she will realize that she has been ignoring the person for too long and will reply, usually with an apology too. She thinks that this person is a good friend for putting up with her, and ends on a note that one really should make sure to hold onto good friends.
  215. One final talk about Discord where she says that earlier in the conversation she was exaggerating and that she does reply to messages that come from the Discord. Since her Discord is related to her work she has to look at it and ignoring it would be bad, she might not respond immediately every time but she does eventually. When it comes to her manager she will treat it even more seriously and try to respond as fast as she can.

  221. >Rather suppress complaints than speak them(3:27:34)
  222. She reads a superchat that mentions that despite the bad things Nishiki did, considering his fate and surroundings the guy couldn't really come to hate him.
  223. Pekora agrees with this and says that if she were in his shoes she'd also lose herself and then goes on a bit too say how she is the type that reacts to hardship by just dealing with it internally rather than venting it out, and that people have said to her something like; "If someone is doing something that you dislike you never really complain about it"(Most recent was the PekoMari stream where Marine says that Pekora is pretty much always positive), and she says that she has never been good at complaining to other people, so instead she thinks that if it is something she can deal with herself then she'll just save it all up inside her so as to not trouble someone else with it.
  224. From this she is also thankful that she is surrounded by the sentiments of everyone who watch her and that this is what makes it fun for her to stream for everyone. Someone brings up that she brought this up in the PekoMari stream and she says that if something painful occurs for her then she just goes to sleep instead so she'll stop thinking about it, then she wakes up and breathes out and considers what she should stream for today.
  225. Then she goes on to say that when she speaks to the nousagi it is the time when she lets out most of her stress and that she is thankful for this, and says that soon enough she wants to have a member stream zatsudan where she just want talks about various things.
