MAELLIN is not booksmart, although she is the girl you definitely would want on your team in elementary. the only thing she was ever confident in, was sports. she knew she was capable with the ball and the net that she had to hit the ball over. but that slipped out of her hands when she had to move to South Korea. the teams in south korea where she grew up, were not built on teamwork but on self praise. she wanted to be on a team, not be the person in the group that gets grades individually. there, all her confidence in the one thing she loved fades away.
