Older GX Duel Academy Notes

Here will be a list of all the people you duel, get 10 wins each.

Special Notes
- Keep trying to see what events are absolutely certain you need to do.
- Save before the Written Exam. Every 2 correct answers is 1 percentage point, and you need 60% for King of Games. So basically, do 12 perfect Written Exams.
- Besides 200 wins, I'm guessing you'll need certain events done. Make sure to get 10 wins on just about everyone you can.
- Since I'm doing the 'Walk Home' event now, it'll probably change how many wins I get on certain people.
- Think of a way to make deck editing faster. Maybe master fast scrolling while holding down the X button.
- Don't go randomly searching for people to duel. Click on the Dorm icon and see who's available. For example, when you get to Obelisk Blue, just click on the Dorm icon and face either Torrey and Damon. If neither are there, click up and check the "Duel Academy" icon area.
- Same applies for Ra Yellow. Click on the dorm icon to look for Beauregard and Brier first, if neither are there search for them until you have 5 wins each. After the Test Room event, you can click on the Dorm icon and face whoever is there.
- If no one you have left to duel is there, go searching for Dimitri, not Sartyr. Dimitri is unpredictable, so searching and settling for Sartyr makes no sense when he'll be at the Dorm more often than not.

Remember:
- Use the Start button to access the PDA. Should make things faster.
- You'll probably want to just get early duels over with, but it may be best to take your time and make the most correct decisions; you can make more DP and therefore get more cards.
- When dueling Syurs, just normal summon Mother grizzly, Drillroid is annoying.
- You'll use mail for everyone available except for Chazz to make things faster. When setting up duels via message make sure you do it on Mondays, not Sundays
- When editing a deck, search alphabetically. Use the 'V' and 'C' keyboard buttons to add and remove cards respectively.
- Only certain types of monsters get the boost from regular Umi.
- You'll see that your opponents will draw Magic Jammer frequently. See if you can bait it out before playing backrow removal or important spells you need.
- Use cards such as Mother Grizzly or Nimble Momanga to bait out various traps, such as Mirror or Torrential.
- If you have a quick play spell in hand, make sure to set it if you won't use it that turn to save time.
- If your opponent goes first and doesn't set any backrow, on your turn you set backrow, then on their next they set 2 backrow, then 1 or both is most likely Seven Tools.
- For events before Fontaine (Pharaoh for example) you don't have to play to inflict as much damage, win the game as early as possible.
- Lose first exam, meet Fontaine 2 weeks after, then do Dropout Boy Event. Settle for around 5000 DP. Remember to change deck back after this event!
- You don't have to do the "Walk Home" event by selecting a person in a row. So for future runs try just going home with everyone. Giggity Giggity Goo
- On the Written Exam, the Maha Vailo question is 4550.
- Remember to change your deck back to Machines after exams!!
- If you have Stein + double Limiter, then consider going for Cyber Twin or even Gatling to make things slightly faster, the amount of damage you inflict is irrelevant.
- Also with double Limiter, don't chain them together. Activating them separately feels faster.
- Once Gerard is done, do all timed duels to improve to Shrewd or Elite Duelist, then there is the diss Chazz event.
- If you get lucky you may never have to build Fusions
- After you beat everyone in Yellow, stay there, do Dimitri event and skip test. Wait for Fontaine to tell you festival is coming up, switch to Slifer next test. Then stay thru Festival.

(2)Banner 10 (Pharoh 1, I'm counting them separately)
- try to do 9 normal, 2 when its just Banner and Crowler
- Pharoh event, Panther Warrior
- Master Fusions for Christmas

(1)Syrus 10
- Once you become Fiery Duelist, talk to him the next Saturday morning for Zane event
- For whatever reason, if you dont get the event, just reset and focus on Chazz, the event will happen eventually.
- Up to 9, see if you face him at New Years. If not, duel 10th time that weekend or mail him.
- Power Bond

(2 or 3)Chumley 8
- Have one duel be when its just him, Banner, and Jaden
- After finishing Ra Yellow, go back to Slifer Red and sleep in to do event
- Master of Oz
- Walk Home event gives you Des Wombat

(5)Jaden 8
- Shortly after new year you'll want to do 'New Hero Deck' event. The Saturday after the next, be sure to buy HERO, Live Vehicles, Fairy Dance, and Dragons
- His events give a bunch of cards
- You'll duel him 4 times early game
- Have 1 or 2 duels saved for when it's just him & Banner, or Him, Banner, & Chumley.

(1)Fontaine 11
- After losing the first exam, wait 2 weeks then do Dropout Boy Event, settle for at least 6k-7k
- To get extra wins, duel her over and over. Maybe 18 wins even to get to 200?

(1)Chazz 12
- Ideally you want to face Syrus for Zane event, then have 1st duel be that evening. Beat 8 times. After beating Crowler, but before Blair, diss him up to 5 times for Lackey event.

(maybe 3)Zane 8
- Unlocks after event. You'll duel him as much as necessary until you get 10 wins between him and Chazz. Then you can hold off a while. Set up regular duels via mail.

(2)Masked Man 2
- After beating Chazz and Zane a bunch, this event happens. The next Saturday after this, buy Invitation to the Dark and Machines.
- I believe you have to duel him a second time to trigger certain events.
- Jinzo, Skull Servant

Bastion 10
- All duels with him should be thru mail
- He unlocks Dragons, but wait to buy until after 'New Hero Deck' event with Jaden and Syrus

- duel normally about 7 times, have the rest be at night

Blair 10
- She unlocks after New Year, Girls Dorm, or New Hero Deck Event

- You can wait for Girls' Dorm Event, then use her mail for duels

- He'll be unlocked early February. When you beat him once, he unlocks Warrior pack so remember to buy it the very next Saturday
- Duel 9 times since 10th win can be festival.
- After festival you get Skyscraper; don't buy this card with Dorothy's Gift.

Chazz's Lackeys 2
- Topher uses some scrub ass burn deck
- Conklin uses Kozaky and Inpachi, and fucking Spell Canceller.
- Injection Fairy Lily, other crap

- SURRENDERING WORKS. YES NIGGA YES!

- For event, hold on to Reckless Greed for as long as possible. Don't play Pot of Greed until Spirit is on field. Don't play '7' until u draw all 3.
- White Magical Hat, Reload, Poison Draw Frog
- You could surrender and get the 10th win naturally, but this is fun.

(1)Beauregard 5
- When you start dueling these guys, be careful to count out 5 wins on both of them so that the event comes sooner. As soon as you have 5 and 5, remember to do the event that night.

- Goblin Attack Force cards, Goblin Thief, Robbin Goblin

Dimitri (surrender event)
- He can show up in Slifer Red Dorm, as well as Obelisk Girls' Dorm
- Kuriboh, Multiply

- gives Special Ways pack for Christmas
