Reasoning:  Whether it was being awfully late or not being there at all it kind of  ticked with Wushei; while those people aren't really his friends he decided to stick with Theo and the gang only because he met them first. After some wandering Wushei managed to find them all laid out during a battle for the city. Despite being late he still offered his services to the group; however, the fight was already over.

This left Wushei more angry at himself than anything; he grew fond of the Saiyan not in a romantic sense, but more of a wanting to watch her grow. She was interesting and kept Wushei guessing, and while he didn't say it out loud there is a part of him that wishes he was there to assist them. Whatever feelings were plucking at the Deep-born was new, perhaps it was a sudden call to become more violent or some negative feelings from seeing the Saiyan defeated.

Wushei needed to figure this out asap; he couldn't have his emotions running a muck not after offering his services to Theo, but that's what bothers him. He wasn't sure if he did it to truly help Theo or what over the Saiyan for whatever reason, but Wushei was getting over attached to them.

What is the moment:
Wushei traveled through a few different zones; he finally emerged on the scene of battle. The battles seemed hard fought, but he noticed the two people he knew were lost. He couldn't participate due to how far the events had transpired, but watching them get beat wasn't something he enjoyed.

It was odd watching the Saiyan; maybe because she was fighting to earn freedom or perhaps she failed at doing so. Either way this caused him to offer his services for their next battle. Perhaps he'd join up with them if only to see if the Saiyan will earn freedom; he found them to be interesting and entertaining.

He was filled with different emotions; he wasn't sure if he was upset with himself for not making it, or watching them get tossed around the battlefield. Whatever it was was messing with Wushei's mental state, but he'd keep it together if only because Theo accepted him without a doubt.
