BACKGROUND | Hyemin was born in Jeju Island, South Korea. She moved to Seoul when she was 7 years old. Her older brothers raised her well basically. Hyemin’s parents were very important people in Korea, they were in the government. Her parents didn’t really ever have time for her so her brothers took care of her. She could never really focus on school because she felt like she didn’t belong. She wanted her parents to pay attention to her. But she realized she realized she needed to do better in school. Her mother quit her job in the government and that encouraged Hyemin. Hyemin finally felt better and made she’s making it through school with very good grades. Hyemin realized she wanted to make her parents proud. She knew she’s always loved to performing and she tried singing. She was very good at it, then she went on to rapping and dancing. She knew she wanted to be a K-Idol and she knew this would make her parents proud.
