  1. See attached.
  2. Some background
  3. Back when I was first dragged out of my house by Essex Police. Naked at midnight. I was promised by EFDC that various things would be sorted out. One of these was Useless Cwedit. [Sic Very Sick!] Oh Noes I hear you exclaim!
  4. Yes that bastion of a security net devised by Ian Duncan Smith

  7.
  8. "Back in the Day" I had managed to get some UC but only after a year and a half of hoop jumping, sufficient to prove that the whole exercise was a WASTE OF TIME. Nevertheless I had sufficient monies to buy a new 2nd hand laptop. So it was full speed ahead and damn the Sanctions. What I did not realise at the time, some two three years back, was that the sneaky DWP would erase my journal. And thus erase all the snarky comments made on it how Useless, Useless Cwedit really was.
  9.
  10. All this to indicate that at one stage I had a bank account and that Useless Cwedit was being paid into it. Money that I could access and use.
  11.
  12. Time passes...
  13. During which, through EFDCs continuing neglect of Waltham Abbey, the TSB decide to close. The town was dead: no business; no money; no Hope.
  14. This was to prove a problem, as I will relate.
  15. EFDC then signally fails to engage the Peabody Trust to sort out my new Useless Cwedit. Post eviction. Naked. By Essex police. Instead it fell to Essex County Council to engage Peabody.
  16.
  17. If I had had to rely on EFDC I'd no doubt still be waiting!
  18.
  19. Peabody sorts out UC with a few taps of the ole keyboard. Unfortunately the data fed into the system included the TSB account. Anticipating there might be a problem, I borrowed a phone and discovered that unless I had my Bank Card and its security number the they could not issue a new card and that would only be to my old address.
  20. Sadly by this time Essex Police; or EFDC; or their agents had totally secured the property such that I could not get in. Indeed, later, I was instructed by the Solicitors acting on behalf of EFDC that I would NEVER be allowed back in. This has resulted in the entire contents of my house being removed to an unknown location and then destroyed.
  21. So much for my old bank card.
  22. Life...
  23.
  24. [Much much laterers I got hold of a OAP Bus Pass (EFDC failing in that task but Peabody Trust to the rescue, a little matter sorted out in seconds... well minutes) on arrival at the nearest TSB in Enfield I was told that the account was frozen by EFDC's Solicitors. I would need a letter from EFDC's Solicitors plus a passport. My OAP Bus pass would not do!
  25. Although I can vote with it!
  26. Go figure.]
  27.
  28. To return to the past: realising that the TSB bank A/c was blocked back in March LAST YEAR! I then requested to my Job Coach that the UC should be paid into a new bank A/c. Deciding on Nat West, rather than say a trusted friend. Or some sort of card that could get money by waving it at something else. Pending a good old-fashioned bank A/c, with cheque books and everything, I wanted the UC to be held in abeyance.
  29. [That debacle getting a NatWest Bank A/c has taken just short of a year. And, as of writing, I still have no NatWest bank A/c!]
  30. Back then I was told by my Job Coach to state the abeyance request on my Journal and it would be actioned. But it wasn't instead there was a reply, by someone else, that I never saw, to the effect that it had to be done by some other department. But anyway it was too late and the monies were being paid into the defunct TSB A/c. Fait accompli.
  31.
  32. The Job Coach went onto other things and as of writing --NOW THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE-- I am trying to get a print out of my Journal...
  33. I'm not holding my breath...
  34. Then I turned 66 and the UC application was closed.
  35.
  36. Fortunately as I did not have a bank A/c I could USE. I deferred applying for my Pension and Pension Credit.
  37. Although I have paperwork to the effect that Pension Credit has been applied for!
  38.
  39. So here I am with no money IN MY POCKET and yet I owe the State some £100.
  40.
  41. How?
  42.
  43.
