Ragnorra Session 63

Start: 9 pm, Tuesday, Eleasis 10, 1396

The party questioned the thrall of Juiblex.

They determined his alignment is chaotic evil, and very old. He spoke of serving Juiblex voluntarily, and he seemed to think Juiblex's power rivals Ragnorra's. His mission was to go through the newly unguarded portal, which Juiblex knew about and communicated to him in short order, implying surveillance of some kind, to negotiate a temporary alliance with the forces of Dis to repel the forces of Pazuzu in the region. He planned on negotiating payment for the pit fiends' services.

He seemed to take little convincing, perhaps intending to frame his loss of his lord's oozes as a great victory with the new 'allies' he secured, perhaps to lessen his punishment.

The party managed to convince him they were somewhat on the same side, although perhaps not allied. They healed him up but left him dominated for now. Cassius escorted him back to the Abyss and allowed him to continue with his mission.

The party rested. Vix left during the rest, and returned with Monty having realizing his potential as a full vampire.

Aymeric disassembles the portal to the Abyss in the interim.

Jinx and Cassius decided to purchase goods in Waterdeep Vix and Ronja decamped to the demiplane to prepare for the assault.

Ronja took this opportunity to scry on Tonks. He revealed he secured the Pereghost's aid, but brokered a deal he could not abide by morally. He rationalized to himself he saved more innocent lives than he imperiled, but was conflicted because he certainly put many at risk with this transaction. He promised the phylactery within the Well of Dragons to the Pereghost, and he suspects they will use whomever it belongs to towards vile ends. Additionally, the Pereghost revealed the owner of the phylactery is a Thayan. They did not specify who it is. The party realized a phylactery can be destroyed like any other object, assuming it does not have any supplementary magical protections.

If the phylactery belongs to Vaaren Uul, they suspect it is a possible reason he is not a demilich, and may even be undergoing the ritual now.

Vix gave Cassius one of the Phaerrim eggs she had saved to give to his alchemist.

Vix planted the water naga eggs in the pools of the demiplane.
