- Scavenger:
- Shield Power - Would love to see this buffed a little bit. Not by much, but in a lot of situations the Heal power just seems stronger. Shield can't revive, and although you can shield yourself from hacked crates... being revealed from a hacked crate doesn't matter all that much. So it's mainly used by teams of 5 in a composition of 2 Fogs, 2 Sawbones, 1 Shield (Inked / Sawbones), so that the healing powers don't overlap so hard. I'd like it to have more use than that.
- Clone Power - The recent buff to clones are amazing, but unfortunately are still a little tricky to use because you can hear the bolt fire. You know there is definitely a clone immediately. If the clone arrow was actually silent when firing, it would bring its usefulness way higher as the hunter wouldn't know immediately if it was a clone or not if used correctly.
- Cloak Power - Honestly the recent nerfs to this puts Camo in a pretty solid place, in my opinion. It's definitely hard to track, but I think there are harder things to track. I have a harder time with a good smoke placement, or a double speed Fog.
- Fog Speed - How fast Fog can get when both speed add-ons are stacked is insane (revealed + pickup blood). I don't actually have an idea on how to change this, since it does occupy two perk slots to run both. It just feels insane to almost not be able to keep up with them as hunter.
- Points / XP - The points that a scavengers get is abysmal compared to a hunter. You can actually fail massively as a hunter and usually get way more points than the person in first on the scavenger side. They could honestly be doubled, and it would still probably be lower than what a hunter can earn. My highest point game is about 17.7k at the moment on hunter, but I can pretty consistently get 12k+ when I'm trying.
- Reviving With Health Crate - I feel like a ton of new scavengers don't know that when they are downed, they can crawl to a crate to revive themselves. So just an on screen UI message that mentions it when you get downed could help mitigate the frustration that a lot of new players have.
- Scavenger Buffs / Instant Execution - This is a super hard thing. I've seen 5 man teams that are all on discord and cause like half the killers they go against to DC because they have an unbeatable team comp, and there are also people that solo play that just get annihilated as they spread out by themselves across the map. I think the balance for this is super hard, and I honestly can't think of really
- Scavenger Jumping off the Edge / Leaving the Game - This should reward full downing points as if you executed them. It's honestly hilarious that this is even a thing people do to "punish" the killer. You still die, hunter gets a ton more XP, and if you leave the game it gives you nothing. I hope they know that in most cases they are losing way more points than the killer is haha.
- Cliff Hanging - I would like to see an ability to roll off a wall, or jump immediately off a wall. Sometimes if you grab onto a wall, it feels sorta clunky to get off if the killer is on you. Rolling off the wall, or jumping immediately off would help in juking potential on the scavenger's end.
- Hunter:
- Stamina - So, when I play Inquisitor I have insane map control. I basically have unlimited stamina as I boost around the map, especially with Autocollect. But the other killers suffer in this map control (especially Stalker) because they can't get more stamina, and health crates give nothing. So what I propose is allow all killers to get some stamina from health crates. Let's say 20% stamina for a random number. Enough to make it worth the hunter's time to deny, but not so much that it is crazy. Inquisitor's passive will then instead be a buff from this number. So he would get 30% stamina instead of 20%.
- Autocollect - It's pretty awful to have to hold the interact button at every crate as hunter. It just slows down the game so much. This is a fast paced game. Each game is 8 minutes. Standing still is the worst. So, I believe all killers should have a 2 meter autocollect by default. It's not going to change the game in terms of balance, but it's just going to smooth out the movement more. Then Inquisitor gets a super buffer version of autocollect, going up to level 12. Some people don't like change, and maybe don't like autocollect (crazy people...), so perhaps a setting to turn off the default autocollect would be good as well.
- Turrets - Turrets are just way too strong, and it's super crazy when you look at everything else Inquisitor gets (like infinite stamina). I think a lot of people would argue that the turret's health should be nerfed, but I disagree. I do however, think their radius needs to be way smaller. It's not supposed to be used, in my opinion, to find scavengers across the map. It should be used for close guarding of an objective, or finding a scavenger near its placement. So having it be 20 meters at level 1, and 30 meters at level 10, could be awesome. I don't think it needs more than 30 meters.
- Fade - This is just a super meh ability. Like, don't get me wrong, it's good in a chase to hide where you are at so they don't know which way to dodge immediately, but I think this ability should help promote sniper rifle usage, seeing as the Stalker has two different snipers. It would be pretty neat if Fade reduced the terror music range to half, or even a fourth of what it normally is. This would be awesome, as you could sneak closer to maybe land a sniper shot.
- Mines - I think these are pretty fine the way they are. I just would like to have a counter to know how many are currently placed on the map so I know when my mines start overriding the old ones. It's more guessing and less strategic the way it is now, I think.
- Grabbing Ledges (Bug) - Currently there is a bug that is super jarring as a hunter. Sometimes you will go grab a ledge, but you like teleport and your camera jerks and it just really ruins immersion and makes it really hard to readjust on the chase.
- Stalker's Auto Hack - With the recent change of 1 shot to hack crates, this passive is absolutely useless. In its current state, if you grab a crate you need to stand still for another second after you gather the contents in order to hack a crate. And when you aren't moving, you feel sluggish. I have two ideas for this. It would be awesome if it worked like Autocollect, where you hack things automatically in a 10 meter radius, and at a faster rate than what it does currently so you can almost sprint through an area with a crate, and it would be hacked. My other solution would to be remove the passive entirely, and instead add one that reduces the terror music range so it's easier to snipe. But in it's current state, it's like not even having a second passive.
- Stalker's 10 shot Sniper - I'd like the upgrade to be reduction of spread, rather than faster rate of fire. The gun is super inaccurate as in, unless you let it zero in completely first when takes a good solid second or so of waiting. And because you can't get close to scavengers because of the terror music, the sniper is already weaker than the burst rifle.
- Aim Down Sights (ADS) - Aiming down sights should be a good skilled based thing, not something you avoid doing because it's worse. A cleaner aim down sights UI would be awesome. Also, aiming down sights is currently bugged. You can test this by taking out a rifle (it's easier to notice with one), and trace a circle around an object while not aiming down sights. Keep moving your reticle in a circle around the object, and while doing this go ahead and aim down sights. You will notice that with the same circle movements you were continuing to do, you are now circling a different spot. It seems that if you are moving your mouse, and you ADS, your sights will move the direction your mouse is drifting to instead of zooming into your current position.
- Hip Firing - Hip firing should have much more spread than it currently has. It should be bad to hip fire over aiming down sights.
- Miscellaneous:
- Voice Settings - Currently the announcer lady in the game, and the sounds of scavengers / hunters grunting and moaning when doing an action are BOTH affected by the in game "Voice" sound setting. If you put the Voice volume to 0 to not hear the announcer lady, you won't be able to hear scavengers, etc anymore. They really should be different settings.
- Hiding Scavengers - This currently destroys the fast paced gameplay that this game is. I once had a match where I got in and couldn't find anyone for 5 minutes. I check the leaderboard, and the highest score was like 500 points. When the game ended, although I did kill them at the very end, the highest point count on their team was 800. They just hid from the very beginning. I think punishing a style of play is bad - you want diverse gameplay for different people. So instead I think there should be even more incentive (than there already is), to go do objectives and not hide in a bush the entire game.
- Overall Balance / Instant Executing - This is a super hard problem that will never go away in asymmetrical games. Balance is just hard, and it definitely shifts as people get more experienced. That being said, I don't know how I feel about instant executing. Like honestly, you could probably remove executing altogether and this game would still be amazing. But getting kills feels good too. I don't really have any good suggestions for instant executing. Common suggestions people have are: require X amount of downs first and can't execute in the first X minutes of a game. I'm not sure if I like those ideas. I like a more... rewarding system, than a punishing system. Which is exactly what was done recently by raising the amount of points you get for downs which I thought was great. I think in order to see less instant executions, extend the range bonus for downs up to 10 or something. I'm still trying to think of a more fluid solution. I would like scavengers to be a tad stronger, but I'm not entirely sure in what way right now as I'm typing this.
- Scoreboard Playback - I think it would be absolutely amazing to be able to see the replays for any of the top 5 scores. This would also put people that farm just to be on them to shame, so it would hopefully discourage that behaviour. That being said, it's probably a hard feature to implement without a ton of work.
- Prestige Cosmetics - I think a lot of the prestige cosmetics are very underwhelming. They also sort of copy Dead by Daylight's prestige system of just being blood (and some gold). I'd like to see cosmetics for prestige that are completely different than the base skin. It doesn't need to have blood or gold on it, it could just look super sick and really stand out. That being said, if you wanted to stay with the blood and gold theme, then some of the cosmetics need to be vastly changed. Stalker's prestige body, for example... I honestly couldn't see a difference.
- Additional XP - This is a random suggestion, but with the games being so fast it becomes a huge selling point to people that work full time jobs that don't have time to play more than an hour a day. Maybe some additional experience bonus (that is shown on screen so people know why they are getting it) for the first 3 games of the day might encourage people to log-in daily.
- Free to Play Weekends - Please do more of these! Or even double XP or resources or something. It's so nice to see everyone get together, and sometimes a little push with an event, even small, hypes it up a bit.
