#PastebinMonday 11/21/2022 Meaningful Work Edition

'Sup, doods!

I may have the week off from my day job for the last time in the next six months, but I am hoping to use the time to finally get to meaningful work for the first time in a long time. Before that, I need to bring the tournament home. Schedule the Winners Finals upload, fix the Redemption Quarters video, fix the Redemption Semis video, schedule the Losers Finals upload. Start and finish the credits sequence. I may not be left with any time for myself after that.

If I do, though, I will start seriously poking my head into the memory values of Pokemon Puzzle League and seeing how it works. This will be part of my quest to put together a proper set of tutorials for the Puzzle League series. I expect to finish scripting and start recording gameplay for those videos over the next couple of months. I will need to go into the tank for this. Friday races this week? Sure. Friday races to celebrate the end of the tournament the week after? Certainly I can think of at least one thing to try. After that, I will have to focus by going on hiatus for the next two months. Once the Tetris Attack tournament comes back around, I will come back for training. This is the current plan. I don't know what type of changes, exactly, it would be subject to, but I feel like showing a wider audience how to play the series needs to be my life's work. Considering where the community has gone thanks to my direct intervention, I have the duty to pay it forward in a way like this. Once this is out of the way, I feel like I can be a lot more open with what I do with my content.

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #4c: catch up on uploading personal bests. I expect to have all the time in the world to schedule my entire backlog over the next two weeks.
Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I want to compile all of the technical specifications common to the series before working on videos for each individual game. I feel like I will end up writing all of the scripts before filming anything.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to lean into the Puzzle League aesthetic, but I have multiple ideas rattling around. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.
