  4.                                                 By registering a game account with CelestialMS, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions stated below. For the purposes of this document, the personal identifiers “we,” “us,” “our,” and any others, refer to the CelestialMS Staff, while the second and third person identifiers refer to any registered account user.

  6. <p>CelestialMS Staff reserves the right to, at any given time:

  13.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Change the game, including terminating, eliminating, supplementing, modifying, adding to or discontinuing any content, data or feature of the game, or the hours that the game is available, and;
  14.         </li>
  15.         <li>
  16.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Change the equipment, hardware or software required to use and/or access the game.
  17.         </li>
  18.         <li>
  19.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Any of the above changes may not be accompanied with forewarning, and all changes will be made effective immediately upon notice, which may be provided by any means, including, but not limited to game, and website. Any use of the game, and website after such notice will be deemed as an acceptance of such changes.

  25. <h3>Section 2. Registration</h3>
  26. <p>
  27. When registering for a game account with us at CelestialMS, you are subject to the following restrictions:

  30.         <h4>Acceptance of Agreement</h4>
  31. By registering a game account with CelestialMS, you agree that you willingly accept responsibility for any and all characters on said account, and, in the case of multiple registered accounts, that any actions taken against one account registered to you apply to all registered accounts.

  35.         <h4>Registration Information</h4>
  36. In order to register an account, you are required to provide us with specific information about yourself, including a valid email address and your date of birth. In addition, by registering an account, you are agreeing to the collection of your IP address, MAC address, and/or Hardware ID. You agree that all of these pieces of information are to be kept up-to-date, accurate and complete. All of these pieces of information are collected for internal purposes, including, but not limited to, verification of your rights to the account, insurance of the uniqueness of the account, and account security issues. We reserve the right to terminate any game accounts or restrict your access to the game at our discretion if we determine that any of this information is falsified, incorrect, or otherwise invalid.

  40.         <h4>Account Information Agreement</h4>
  41. As part of the registration and character creation process, you will be requested to create a username, password, a Personal Identification Number ("PIN"), and character in-game name (“IGN”) that will identify you. Both your username and character IGN must be unique to any and all pre-existing ones, and are subject to the following conditions:
  42. </br><b>I)</b> The name may not be considered vulgar, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially/ethnically or otherwise offensive, including any alternate spellings or misspellings at our discretion;
  43. </br><b>II)</b> The name must be in compliance with the software's internal restrictions; no longer than 12 characters, no shorter than 4 characters, restricted to only use the lower- and upper-case alphabet and whole numbers from 0-9;
  44. </br><b>III)</b> The name must not imply that you are a part of the CelestialMS Staff, or that you have any specific privileges, including but not limited to the use of abbreviations such as “Dev”,“GM” or “Admin”, and;
  45. </br><b>IV)</b> The name may not be used in conjunction with any perceived attempt to impersonate another player, person, or entity.
  46. </br><b>V)</b> The name may not be used to promote, advertise, condone, or describe any activities connected to real world trading.
  47. Outside of the above restrictions, we reserve the right to change, remove, alter or delete any character at any time for any reason at our discretion. If you are in breach of any of the above conditions, you may be subject to alterations or other consequences that we deem appropriate, including, but not limited to, the changing of the name in question, restriction of access to the game, or termination of your account at our discretion based upon the severity of the breach.

  52. <h3>Section 3. Game Use & Restrictions</h3>
  53. <p>Any player accessing CelestialMS is, by playing the game, agreeing that Game Masters (“GMs”) and Administrators (“Admins”) and any other CelestialMS Staff have ultimate discretion and authority in applying, construing, interpreting, acting upon, or omitting any clause of the following section based on the evidence obtained from any source. Furthermore, our staff possess the authority and the ability to exercise the right to modify any punishment for a violation of the Game Use & Restrictions. Upon breach of any of the following clauses, you acknowledge that you have the right to one appeal in which you may present any evidence of your innocence you wish, after which any decision made by our staff is final and binding, and you are no longer entitled to any further appeals.

  55. <p>While using the game, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. We reserve the right to take any actions we deem necessary and appropriate in order to preserve the integrity of the game at our discretion. While using the game, you agree not to commit any of the following acts, organized into categories of severity.

  62. <h3>Section 4. Discourteous Behaviour</h3>

  66.     <i>An act of discourteous behaviour involves the posting of offensive or highly objectionable content to other players, moderators or the server itself.</i>

  68.     <li>
  69.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Excessively rude, offensive, hurtful or otherwise negative comments
  70.         </li>
  71.         <li>
  72.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Excessive spamming or flooding of a thread with unnecessary content
  73.         </li>
  74.         <li>
  75.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Excessive cursing or the use of highly inappropriate language in any language with the exception of if a particular word is the topic of discussion approved by a moderator

  77.         </li>
  78.         <li>
  79.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Circumventing the slur filter intended to block highly inappropriate language from being used with the exception of if a particular word is the topic of discussion approved by a moderator

  83.         <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>Inciting or provoking other players with negative content in the nature of beginning a destructive argument

  89.         <i><h4>Highly Inappropriate Content</h4></i>
  90.         Highly inappropriate content includes acts that are overwhelmingly unpleasant or otherwise extremely disruptive to the operation of the server.

  95.             Promoting, providing or otherwise transmitting pornographic, excessively violent or unpleasant content outside of designated areas (#NSFW channel on our Discord server)

  100.             Promoting, advertising, providing access to or otherwise transmitting hacking information, programs or malicious third-party software, without the express permission of a moderator

  104.             The use of CelestialMS as a location to advertise any other real world product or service without the express permission of a moderator

  108.             The use of CelestialMS as a location to advertise any other real world product or service without the express permission of a moderator

  114. <h3>Section 5. Serious Offences</h3>
  115. <h4><i>A serious offense involves a direct attack on the server or its players, and may include any explicit or implicit attempt, threat or intention to do so.</i></h4>

  119.     Hacking or attacking the server itself with the intent of gaining information or interfering with the ability of the server to properly operate

  123.     Hacking or attacking any user or moderator with the intent of interfering with their ability to properly make use of the server
  124.     </li>

  127.     Deliberate impersonation of another player, moderator or figure with the intent to cause trouble or otherwise deceive users

  131.     The use of the CelestialMS grounds/products to promote, advertise or attempt to persuade users to relocate to other MapleStory private servers

  135.     Threatening to or otherwise making claim to have committed any serious offense on the official CelestialMS game server as outlined in the CelestialMS terms of service
  136.     </li>

  138.     <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>
  139.     Sharing, revealing or otherwise providing access to confidential information of any nature, not limited to CelestialMS server information
  140.     </li>

  142.     <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>
  143.     The use of CelestialMS grounds/products for the purposes of sending messages, either privately or publicly, with the intent to induce individuals into revealing personal information (phishing)
  144.     </li>

  146.     <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>
  147.     Avoiding or circumventing restrictions placed on an account, including but not limited to accessing the website/game while subject to an ongoing infraction or ban
  148.     </li>

  150.     <i class="fas fa-chevron-right"></i>
  151.     Exploiting a broken function in game, Keeping said system to yourself and not reporting it.
  152.     </li>
  153. </ul>

  155. <h3>Section 6. Financial/Payment/Transaction Rules</h3>

  158.     All donations/products/virtual goods purchased from CelestialMS are final-sale, and any acts of charging back can result in a permanent ban effective immediately.

  161.     <li>
  162.     The act of exploiting the software or the game for any sort of commercial purposes/gain, including but not limited to buying or selling items, mesos, services, or any forms of virtual CelestialMS currency for real world currency/money or barter is prohibited and punishable by account infraction or ban. Any and all solicitations or advertising or promotions of the aforementioned also qualify as an offense and is punishable.
