The Indenture made this 19th day of October 1832 between Elizabeth Humphreys widow and relivet of John Humphreys dec’d of Hardin County and George Humphreys of the County of Meade, John Humphreys & Susannah his wife, Henry Morrison and Sally his wife Reuben Peyton and Jamimach his wife heirs and legal representatives of the Said John Humphreys dec’d also of the county of Hardin and State of Kentucky of the one part & Cadwallarder? Churchill of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Elizabeth Humphreys, George Humphreys, John Humphreys and Susannah his wife, Henry Morrison & Sally his wife Reuben Peyton & Jemimah his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of three Hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereas is hereby acknowledged hasten granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the Said Cardord? Churchill a certain tract of Said Situate lying and bring on Said county of Hardin on the Waters of Nolin Containing 200 acres be the Same more or Less, it being the Same Said that was conveyed by a certain Shepherds Gum to the Said John Humphreys dec’d by deed of records in the Hardin County Court and bounded as follows Rowit? Beginning at a Swamp ash 20 poles about the mount of Shepherds Gums Spring branch thence N 15 E with Bartons Land 22 poles to a hickory in Nourse’s? old line now corner to Bartons Land thence with a line of the Same 14 ½ & E crossing a muddy Girt? 322 poles to a Stake in the barrens by a Small hickory S86W 15 poles to a Stake in the barrens S35W 92 poles thence S75W83poles to a Stake S11W40 poles to a Stake S86 W40 poles to a Stake thence with a line of Deremiahs and along the division fence S215 E196 poles to the Creek riss? the Same with its meanders about 39 poles to the beginning With its appurtenances unto the Said Churchill his heirs and assigners forever and the Grantees aforesaid hereby covenant and agree with the Said Churchill his heirs & assigns forever, that they the grantors are the Sole owners in few Simple of the Said hereby conveyed that they have good right & lawful authority to Sell and convey the Same And they will warrant & forever defend the title to the Said Churchill & his heirs from the harm of all persons. Whatsoever In Testimony Whereof they have hereto Set their Land & Seals.

Samuels clerk of the county Court for the county aforesaid do certify that on the 27th day of October 1832 the foregoing Deed was produced to Samuel Haycraft then clerk of this court and acknowledged by Elizabeth Humphreys, Henry Morrison & Sally his wife to be their Act and Deed and on the 23rd day of February 1833 the Same was again produced to Sarah Haycraft & acknowledges by Reuben Payton and Jemimah his wife to be their Act and Deed and on the 11th day of March 1833 the same was once more produced to Said Haycraft & acknowledged by John Humphreys & Susannah his wife to be their Act and Deed and said Deed having remained in the Clerks Office since then was on the 30th day of January 1857 Ordered to be recorded by WW Middleton.
