Awakening Quest - Where are we right now?

Right now you are standing in the street outside of a small (and empty) store of some kind, where you took cover from aerial bombardment. You stepped outside to check the status of a cellphone which the Rag People (subterranean dwellers who assisted in your escape to the surface) regard as a holy artifact which you will use to lead them to salvation. Of course, you only took your Chosen One to the surface with you.

You are armed with a shotgun (referred to as your "Holy Rod") and you have 4 shots remaining.

Your Chosen One is armed with a rifle and has 10 shots remaining. It's currently loaded but he does not know how to use it. He also has a club, which he is effective with.

You have some rations (which you should eat soon) and you learned that the city is under attack by raiders. Some unknown people called the Metropolyiates are currently trying to repel them.
