  1. <KamenWriter> Viktor has a dream
  2. <KamenWriter> You awake in the faust library back in germany.
  3. <KamenWriter> You appear to be fully aware that you are dreaming, but find you can't do all of the cool things you can normally do while Lucid dreaming.
  4. <KamenWriter> There is already a merry fire in the fireplace, and there are drinks set out, as if you were expecting a guest.
  5. <KamenWriter> There is a knock upon the door.
  6.  Viktor paces around the familiar halls of the library, looking around suspiciously until he hears the knock. He goes to the door and calls out, "Who is it?"
  7. <KamenWriter> "A friend."
  8. <KamenWriter> Says the voice, it seems amiable enough, if a little chilly.
  9. <Viktor> "An old one, no doubt. I haven't many remaining, and you rather don't sound like them."
  10. <KamenWriter> "A friend you haven't properly met then."
  11. <Viktor> "I'll show you my hospitality, but I'd like it if you could drop the pretense." he says, opening the door.
  12. <KamenWriter> It is a man wearing a black business suit and holding a briefcase, He wears a hat that appears to be lined with red spikes around the brim, but is otherwise a normal black fedora.
  13. <KamenWriter> "Thank you, I appreciate it of course."
  14. <Viktor> "Then have a seat, and we may discuss our business."
  15. <KamenWriter> He walks in, "Not so fast. Let me look at you for a moment. My... My you've grown since I saw you last."
  16. <KamenWriter> "And smart too. Saw through the disguise immedietely. You wouldn't think it would work all that often, but you have no idea the amount of people who don't realize it until long after I've already told them."
  17. <KamenWriter> He walks over to the large chairs and sits, "Ah. I believe chairs to be the best invention of mankind."
  18. <KamenWriter> "It used to be I would come into a dream and there would be a circle of boulders around a campfire."
  19. <Viktor> "Simple, yet effective. Though we are inventing more and more by the day."
  20. <KamenWriter> He looks over, he has a smile upon his face, "And where's little Pandora?"
  21.  Viktor looks around. Is he in this dream?
  22. <KamenWriter> You have his box
  23.  Viktor places it on the table.
  24. <KamenWriter> You also have Geist's mirror, and your other pokemon appear to be lounging about the room.
  25. <KamenWriter> Pandora peeks out, before popping out, "Hey! It's you!"
  26. <KamenWriter> *<>
  27. <KamenWriter> The man smiles widely, "Good evening, Pandora. I hope you've treated this one well."
  28. <KamenWriter> <Well, of course. I kept him safe. Gonna make your offer?>
  29. <KamenWriter> "All in good time. Now I'm merely happy to see you." He pats the ghost on the mane of souls. Pandora :Ds
  30. <Viktor> "Shall I begin by offering you a drink?"
  31. <KamenWriter> "I would love a drink, thank you."
  32. <Viktor> (one sec)
  33. <KamenWriter> He sits back, Pandora parks himself between the two of you and curls up around his keystone.
  34.  Viktor pours him a glass of fine Riesling Wine and sits politely in the chair across from him
  35. <KamenWriter> "Ah, wonderful."
  36. <KamenWriter> "I expect you're impatient to get down to business."
  37. <Viktor> "I merely doubt we have much in the way of pleasant conversation to eachother."
  38. <KamenWriter> "Well, there's as much pleasant conversation as you want to have. Your ghosts are looking very well, you take very good care of them, stories about Pandora's hijinx, what your ancestors were like..."
  39. <KamenWriter> "BUT since you would like to get down to business." He picks up his briefcase and opens it.
  40. <KamenWriter> "I notice that the pursuit of knowledge is very important to you."
  41. <Viktor> "A fairly accurate assessment about myself."
  42. <KamenWriter> "Unless i'm mistaken, your greatest wish is to unlock mysteries of the universe, to find out things no man has discovered yet."
  43. <Viktor> "Indeed. The truths of this world."
  44. <KamenWriter> "Which is why that is NOT what I am offering today." he rips up a sheet of paper. "Obviously, you feel that pursuing such things yourself with the meager tools of humanity would be far more rewarding, and RIGHTLY so. Am I correct?"
  45. <Viktor> "A great deal more insightful than I had expected. Though perhaps I should have expected more. Continue."
  46. <KamenWriter> "I couldn't help noticing that there is a quest you and your companions have embarked on. You are making friends, growing stronger. It's all very nice."
  47. <KamenWriter> He holds out an arm and Zyklop comes up and perches on it like a bird. O3
  48. <KamenWriter> "However... well... there's going to be some very difficult times ahead."
  49. <Viktor> "Indeed. Even the events as soon as tomorrow I do not expect to be easy."
  50. <KamenWriter> "It would be in my best interest for you to defeat whatever is causing all of this fuss on earth. It being in your best interest goes without saying."
  51. <Viktor> "I believe you would be correct in that. Something of even your power... it's possible it could be stolen by one of those Master Balls."
  52. <KamenWriter> "Sadly true... Thank you for destroying that bush by the way, very well done."
  53. <KamenWriter> "Tell your friends I said that as well."
  54. <KamenWriter> "In any case, here's where my offer comes in... although before I ask, I must first teach you my rules."
  55. <Viktor> "Bush?"
  56. <KamenWriter> (The Golden apricorn bush. Or weren't you there?)
  57. <Viktor> (I wasn't)
  58. <KamenWriter> "Tell Edmund and Rex, they'll understand what I mean."
  59. <Viktor> "I shall pass on your gratitude."
  60. <Viktor> (brb bathroom)
  61. <KamenWriter> "My rules. First I shall make my offer. Naturally, you are allowed to suggest other offers, or changes to the offer. I never want any more or less than I have ever wanted. You to serve me after death. That is my price and to many it is worth what I can offer."
  62. <KamenWriter> "In this dream we can hack out details, but I don't want you to answer right away... unless you insist to take it of course, in which case I make an exception... I will come back on three other occasions."
  63. <KamenWriter> "On the first occasion, I shall ask you to take the deal nicely."
  64. <KamenWriter> "On the second, I shall ask you to take the deal with trickery."
  65. <KamenWriter> "On the third, I shall ask you to take the deal violently."
  66. <KamenWriter> "If, after these three visits, you do not wish to take the deal, then you shall never see me again."
  67. <Viktor> "Am I free to alter the terms of the deal on these subsequent visits?"
  68. <KamenWriter> "Oh yes, feel free."
  69. <KamenWriter> "I'll never want anything more or less than I always want, but humans are always changing their minds."
  70. <KamenWriter> "In any case, our business today is to create an opening offer. Unless there is something at the fore of your mind that you wish to have, I'll try to give you something of interest."
  71. <Viktor> "Very well. If you would, present to me your opening offer."
  72. <KamenWriter> He reaches into his briefcase, "Whatever is out there, it could destroy the balance of the earth. This is bad for business. Without humans, there's nothing for me to do with myself. It is in both of our best interests that your group be able to defeat our shared enemy."
  73. <KamenWriter> "What I offer you is power." he pulls out a small sphere, black with red spike patters over the top. It appears to operate on a hinge, "The monster ball acts as a metaphor of course. Inside it could be whatever power you need. Perhaps you could be imbued even further with the power of the ghosts you love so much. Perhaps it could be more power to your companions. Perhaps... it could be the power to summon me, personally, to the field
  74. <KamenWriter> "The specifics are up to you."
  75. <KamenWriter> Pandora :Os
  76. <Viktor> "A rather simple offer. I'm afraid to say it doesn't hold my interest though. Power I have in spades. It's something I can grasp myself."
  77. <KamenWriter> "How brave."
  78. <KamenWriter> "There is another possibility, of course."
  79. <Viktor> "Is there?"
  80. <KamenWriter> He pulls another monster ball out, this one pink and with hearts upon it. He places it on the table. "Charlotte Walker is a very nice girl."
  81. <Viktor> "This is also true..."
  82. <KamenWriter> "Once again, the ball is simply a metaphor."
  83. <KamenWriter> "She could come to love you."
  84. <KamenWriter> "AND of course, while I am not pushing this offer, since I doubt you will take it, I like to have all possibilities on the table."
  85. <Viktor> "Of course. It's still very possible for that to end in my favor by her own will."
  86. <Viktor> "The result is far from decided."
  87. <KamenWriter> He pulls another monster ball out, it is blue, and looks well-used. You know instinctively that it contains knowledge.
  88. <KamenWriter> "These are what I have to offer. I could even give you all three for the same price if you feel greedy."
  89. <KamenWriter> "Or you might suggest something I never thought of."
  90. <Viktor> "Indeed it seems a hefty offer placed on the table for me."
  91. <Viktor> "However... at the moment, my truest desires are ones that I am willing to reach for with my own strength."
  92. <KamenWriter> He begins to stand, "In any case, that concludes our business today. I'll leave the monster balls here. Nothing material in them of course, but each includes a preview of what may be."
  93. <Viktor> "Very well then. I bid you good night."
  94. <KamenWriter> He regards each of your ghosts in turn, whispering little things to them all, before turning back to you and holding out a hand to shake, "We'll meet again."
  95.  Viktor looks over his hand. "If I shook your hand, would it count as taking the deal?"
  96. <KamenWriter> "Of course not."
  97. <KamenWriter> "Like my rules state, you may only take the deal when we meet and I ask nicely."
  98. <KamenWriter> "Unless you insist right now, of course."
  99. <Viktor> "I shall decline your offer for the moment." He shakes his hand.
  100. <KamenWriter> He nods politely after you shake hands, "Good morning then. Good morning Pandora."
  101. <KamenWriter> <Good morning boss.> :D
  102. <KamenWriter> He then turns to leave throught he door he came in.
  103. <KamenWriter> There are three closed monster balls on the table. Do you open any of them before you wake up?
  104. <Viktor> "So long as it is just a preview, it would be good to satisfy my curiousity so that I may steel myself against the temptation of unknown."
  105.  Viktor opens the first ball containing power.
  106. <KamenWriter> Alright
  107. <KamenWriter> You suddenly feel something indescribable rush through you.
  108. <KamenWriter> It's painful, but only for a moment and when you come to, you body feels a rush of power. If you try to touch something, you realize you're able to choose between touching things, and walking through walls as easy as breathing. In a mirror you see that you look no different, but your hands glow lightly.
  109. <KamenWriter> You also see that there is a red and white monster ball at your belt.
  110.  Viktor brings the ball off his belt and tries to open it.
  111. <KamenWriter> Giratina, level 50, Stoic nature, Base stats: 15/10/12/10/12/9, Abilities: Levitate/Telepathy/Haunt
  112. <KamenWriter> It appears to just be a shade, however, and soon you feel yourself weakening.
  113. <KamenWriter> In an instant, everything is back to normal and the ball is back on the table, unopened.
  114.  Viktor thinks... and tries opening the third.
  115. <KamenWriter> As you open the ball of knowledge, you can feel it, everything you ever wanted to know, everything you ever wondered about. All of the answers, all of the theories and facts and knowledge extending onward and onward into all space and time expanding your mind, filling you with the joy of knowing, sating your hunger for discovery.
  116. <KamenWriter> You can hear the ideas whispering in your ear, begging to be written down. All of the conflicting theories of the world that are all silmutaneousely true.
  117. <KamenWriter> And then, as quickly as it came over you, it is silenced, and you feel the empty hunger waiting to be filled once again.
  118. <Viktor> "I see."
  119. <KamenWriter> You suddenly get the horrible feeling that you've forgotten a lot.
  120. <Viktor> "It seems he really can deliver that much."
  121. <Viktor> "As for this last one... I have too much respect for Charlotte to open it."
  122. <KamenWriter> And with that, you can feel the dreamworld beginning to deteriorate around you.
  123. <KamenWriter> The details of the room start to become vauge and strange, and your pokemon begin to fade from the dream.
  124. <KamenWriter> The last to go is Pandora, who says, <I kinda hope you take it, but, you know, it's probably alright if you don't>
  125. <KamenWriter> And then you wake up, and it is the morning.
