  2. Part I - The Player
  3.
  4. Info: The appetizer before the full-course. Highlighting and giving us a brief rundown of the player before we dig in deep.
  5.
  6. Q - Thank you for taking the time for this interview, before we begin, please introduce yourselves to our readers.
  7.
  8. Q - How did you get your start in Team Fortress 2? Were you a TFC player before or did you made the switch from another game. Give us a brief rundown on your past teams and how they came about and what lessons (if any) you've learned from their failures/successes
  9.
  10. Q - Were you competitively envolved in other games before Team Fortress 2?
  11.
  12. Q - As a Scout, how would you describe your play style in Team Fortress 2? How much do you think play style really matters in Team Fortress 2 given that the focus is on building up chemistry oppose to fine-tuning individual DM skills.
  13.
  14. Q - Would you mind sharing your Team Fortress 2 Config with us? What custom HUD (if any) do you use.
  15.
  16. Q - If you get bored of playing Scout/Sniper, what class would you be to inclined to switch to; or would you wrap it up and move onto to bigger and better things?
  17.
  18.
  19. Part II - The Game
  20.
  21. Info: The main course. Going in-depth and picking the players' brains apart.
  22.
  23. Q - Now then, since we have that novelty bit out of the way. Let's get started, let's first focus on your current team - Clan A - having recently been picked up by a major Australian MGO - Team Immunity. How did -A- come into fruition?
  24.
  25. Q - Why has A dominated the scene in the way it has. What do you attribute to that? What do you possess that you believe your competitors (Rewound for example) don't? (FOLLOWUP)
  26.
  27. Q - Team Fortress 2 isn't as MGO-friendly as some other games, as such, getting an MGO in a relatively small scene like Australia is a feat worthy of an applause. Did -A- approach Team Immunity or was it the other way around.
  28.
  29. Q - How influential has iM been as far as your teamwork and gameplay are concerned? Has being associated with a professional MGO added an extra layer of stress or has it worked as a silent motivator and has made everyone step up their game?
  30.
  31. Q - What perks has iM provided for your team? (FOLLOWUP)
  32.
  33. Q - Please elaborate regarding your team for those are unfamiliar. Who plays what and who is the main caller and strategist?
  34.
  35. Q - iM has completely dominated the Australian TF2 scene for the past couple of months and road looks easy, looking ahead. Thoughts?
  36.
  37. Q - How does iM maintain it's form? Do you scrim and play mixes regularly or do you feel it's redundant given your current reign-of-terror.
  38.
  39. Q - You've had a very brief stint in ESEA-I with Apoplexy Industries as well as have won two consecutive AsiaFortress division 1 seasons. Though you have not been a regular player in either of these scenes. Was it because you couldn't commit or did you simply prioritized Australia over them?
  40.
  41. Q - Based on your limited run, what are your impressions of the aforementioned scenes, both behaviour/gameplay styles wise. What do you think can be improved/fixed in them, do you think they can learn anything from OZFortress?
  42.
  43. Q - Does iM play international teams? The previous team to dominate Australian scene - MAD DOGZ - were notorious for going across the seas to scrim American and Asian teams. Does iM do this and if not, is it feasible or out of the question due to schedule/ping conflicts?
  44.
  45. Q - You are ofcourse, very good at Team Fortress 2. But, how closely do you follow it? How aware and in-the-know are you when it comes to international scenes (Europe, NA, Asia) - do you actively watch demos and STVs to make sure you don't lose a step?
  46.
  47. Q - Let's discuss the content updates. Do you think, in the longrun, unlocks really make any real difference aside from being a novelty act that loses its audience when people find newer/better things? As predominently, TF2 is always going to be a game that focuses on building solid chemistry over twitch-aim and phoenamenal reflexes. Something which you really don't need unlocks for. On a similar note, we've seen a lot of custom user created maps get the official stamp on them. Any favorites?
  48.
  49. Q - Let's discuss the content updates. Thoughts on unlocks? (Alternative phrasing)
  50.
  51. Q - Putting the bans in various leagues and tournaments in various parts of the world aside, which unlocks do you personally enjoy using? Be it public or 6v6.
  52.
  53. Q - Team Fortress 2 has seen a tremendous amount of growth and support from what it was back in 2008. TF2Lobby, TF2TV, AsiaFortress, MyGamingEdge Mann-co Store, Map stamps etc. Undoubtly, the game is in a healthy state, moreso financially for Valve than playerbase wise for us. Has Valve overaturated the game in the guise of supporting the game? At what point are you overcrowding the game instead of supporting it, if there's such a thing even.
  54.
  55. Q - OZFortress recently held a successful LAN event. iM was present and had goodies courtesy of the sponsors. How would you describe your experience? Do you think, similar to ESEA, OZFortress should hold their league finals in a LAN format or is it something that would be too difficult to pull off on a regular basis given the tedious preparation/management requirements.
  56.
  57. Q - A lot of players doubted your legitimacy as a player, with alot of them going out of their way to use the "H" word. Ofcourse, your LAN performance did the talking for you. Do you think people nowadays are too easy to jump on the accusation bandwagon? Are you a proponent of using client based anti-cheat like ESEA Client and ESL Aequitas, or do you think detecting and banning cheaters should be left to a group of experienced and trained individuals. Or is there a compromise that can be achieved somewhere in the middle that promises the best solution.
  58.
  59. Q - A lot of people think you are cheating. What's the story behind this?
  60.
  61. Q - How often do you rage as a player? Is there anyone in your team that flips out when something goes awry? (FOLLOWUP)
  62.
  63. Q - If you get bored at playing at the top, will you consider off-classing and/or chilling in the lower divisions? (FOLLOWUP)
  64.
  65. Q - An year later, will sheep be here? (FOLLOWUP)
  66.
  67. Q - Are there any particular TF2 players (region notwithstanding) that you miss watching and/or playing with?
  68.
  69. Q - How interested would you be in seeing old timer teams like MAD DOGZ/ YSW make a return and be active? (FOLLOWUP)
  70.
  71. Q - Will we ever see an exhibition match between DOGZ and iM? (FOLLOWUP)
  72.
