- 2017 MAMA to celebrate the new theme ‘co-existence’ of Asian music in diverse culture backgrounds

Seoul, Korea (October 18, 2017) – Asia’s leading content and media company CJ E&M announced Asia’s biggest music festival ‘2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards(MAMA)’ will open 2017 MAMA nominees website for online polls starting from October 19th, growing anticipation from fans all around Asia.

2017 MAMA, is set to launch in three different locations starting from November 25th in Vietnam(at Hoa Binh Theater) as ‘2017 MAMA Premiere in Vietnam’, November 29th in Japan(at Yokohama Arena) as ‘2017 MAMA in Japan’, November 30th in Hong Kong(at W Hong Kong) as ‘2017 MAMA Professional Categories’, to December 1st in Hong Kong(at AsiaWorld-Expo, Arena) as ‘2017 MAMA in Hong Kong’. Under the new theme ‘Co-existence’, 2017 MAMA emphasizes the importance of harmony among different cultures with a new brand logo, upgraded the nomination standards, and performances to an international scale.

The nominees for 2017 MAMA will be unveiled through 2017 MAMA official website (2017MAMA.com) which will be accessible in multiple languages. The nominees have been carefully selected from a pool of influential artists, who have released songs or albums from October 27th 2016 to October 18th 2017.

Online polls for award categories will simultaneously open from 6:00PM(KST) on October 19th to November 28th midnight(KST). Vote from fans(online, mobile), MAMA professional panels’ opinions, music and record sales will be combined to select the final award winners. Moreover, Best Asian Artist award will be announced in Vietnam following a far extended lineup of influential Asian artists who are set to perform a variety of colorful performances.

Ticket sales for ‘2017 MAMA Premiere in Vietnam’, ‘2017 MAMA in Japan’ will open from Monday,October 23rd and ‘2017 MAMA in Hong Kong’ from Friday, October 27th.
