March 18: The live concert "The Extravaganza of Haruhi Suzumiya" was held
June: "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" Scenario meetings begin
July 7: "Haruhi Season 2 Confirmed!" published in the Asahi newspaper
December 18: "Season 2 canceled. New Animation beginning" is published on the official website.

-2008:
April: Yuki Nagato key visual published in "The Sneaker"
August: "The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya" and "Nyoron Churuya-san" anime announced

-2009:
