  1. 16:17:19: <notovny> I think there's something very odd with my left ear. It keeps breaking the functionality of the left earbud of my headphones, darned if I know why.
  2. 16:18:15: <notovny> Having run out of functional stereo earbuds, I'm forced to use the acutely painful default iPod headphones again.
  3. 16:18:45: <nekonoai> I feel for you.
  4. 16:18:58: <nekonoai> default headphones are rarely comfortable
  5. 16:19:15: <soozelwoozel> Is your left ear made of steel perchance?
  6. 16:19:47: <notovny> It's very odd. Always the left earbud, too. This is the third time.
  7. 16:21:28: <nekonoai> probably because the left earbud is only a satellite. the main sound comes from right. i had headphones that if I switched em to mono, both sides got sound again. it was weird.
  8. 16:21:43: <notovny> Perhaps some terrible ichor is leaking out and destroying the speakers.
  9. 16:21:58: <nekonoai> clean your ears then ;)
  10. 16:28:35: soozelwoozel sips a cool beer and attacks the hummous with gusto
  11. 16:36:31: <surelyfunke> oh, you mean like one of the earbuds keeps falling out of your ears?
  12. 16:36:39: <surelyfunke> or is that just my weird ears
  13. 16:37:03: <notovny> No. The left earbud just stops working.
  14. 16:37:05: <surelyfunke> there is always one ear that keeps stubbornly rejecting the earbuds
  15. 16:37:15: <surelyfunke> electrical charge?
  16. 16:37:29: <surelyfunke> coming from your brane
  17. 16:37:37: <surelyfunke> like thuuuunder
  18. 16:39:06: <notovny> They say there's a Gibberg that lives in my ears, and the sight of the headphones is what he most fears. When he sees them he shrieks and stabs at the speaker with a seussian weapon named "Kakka-ma-jeeker"
  19.
  20. ...
  21. 16:43:19: <notovny> I know "Kakka-ma-jeeker" 's a horrible name, but it punctures the diaphragm quick just the same. Really such naming's a terrible crime, but it's the style of the Seuss to reach for the rhyme.
