JMS Announcement 3/14/18

Hello everybody!
It's your friends over at Junk Maker Sounds!

The past few months have been exciting, haven't they? Cassette releases from BLACCLODGE and Rollergirl!, as well as a handful of digital releases that have become the favorites for some of our listeners are certainly fun ways to help kick off the 2018 year!

If you've been expecting a package from us, fear not! The first wave of goodies are all packaged up and will begin shipping tomorrow!
(seriously, we'll be sending out tracking numbers and everything)

While this is all fun and dandy, we want to get right down to business; the reason we are bringing this announcement to your attention! We announced a compilation at the beginning of the year and called on all of you wonderful producers to send in your tracks in an effort to put together a vaporwave tribute to (Iggy and) The Stooges! The deadline was March 1st, and since then we've spent the past two weeks trying to work out a decent idea of how the compilation should flow and what should go where (we take pride in making our comps sound like actual albums after all)!

With this in mind we feel 100% confident in sharing the final track sequencing for our compilation, so without any further ado, here's what you, the general listening public, can expect to hear from us!

We know, that's a lot to take in at one time, but it's 100% worth it. Honestly.

With this in mind we're considering a few different options for the cassette release; would there be enough demand to professionally dub these? Should we just do a smaller run? Which charity should we donate to in either instance? (and the big one) Do we release the tapes and digital versions together, or digital first and tape later?

These are some of the questions that keep us up at night.
