ice shards

Oriana Thomson, still on the ground, crushed a flash card in her mouth.
A loud explosion occurred.
Fresh blood splattered.
Oriana had fired a big sphere of ice, about the size of a soccer ball. It slowly wafted out of
her hand, and when it did, it exploded, sending out a rain of sharp fragments in a
horizontal fan shape.
The torrent of blades grazed over Kamijou’s head as he was on the ground.
And pierced through Stiyl Magnus behind him.
The sound of the sharp blades stabbing flesh was strangely stiff and dull.
Maybe it was because it broke his bones, too.
Stiyl fell limp to his knees, then face-first on the ground. Blood began oozing out from
him. Innocentius squirmed in anguish, then burst apart in all directions and vanished.
He didn’t speak.
He didn’t even groan.
