Bio: Yvain grew up in Mernid with his younger sister. Their father would take them out into the wilderness and teach them his skills as rider and archer, but Yvain didn't enjoy using a bow as his sister did. It felt too flimsy in his hands and was difficult to use on the horse. He was much more interested in the sword, which their mother happily taught him. She excelled with a blade from her time as a soldier in a small town and passed this ability to Yvain, who learned it quickly. He found a sword was much easier to use atop a mount and became a skilled rider in time.

Like his sister, Yvain craved adventure, but preferred not to admit it. When she declared she was leaving the village, he jumped at the chance to accompany her... for her protection, of course. Because travelling alone is not safe, and definitely not because Yvain was bored of home as well.
