  8.
  9. Kruger is notably eerie in stature and body type. With next to no muscle, being very tall and very thin and lanky, some could say he looks like a skeleton. His limbs and fingers are unusually long as well, and he has seemingly no scars. He is shaved bald, with a rather large beard, and pale blue eyes that are hardly seen, due to the blindfold he wears nearly all the time.

  20. •Personality•
  21. ———————
  22. Dry, Cold, but inherently goodnatured. The only way for him to achieve enlightenment is to aid others in any way he can, but his personality is very down to business.
  23.
  24.
  25. •Powers/abilities•
  26. ———————
  27. Jié Zòu Perception (Passive / Whenever his blindfold is on) - While blinded, Kruger is able to perceive the world around him far superior to normal sight.
  28.
  29. Jié Zòu Reactiveness (Passive / Whenever his blindfold is on) - While blinded, Kruger's reaction time is far superior to normal humanly reaction time.
  30.
  31. Jié Zòu Attunement (Passive) - Kruger is not seen as hostile by any animal relating to nature, such as bears, wolves, lions, etc. This does not include magical beasts, and he can not tame them.
  32.
  33. Jié Zòu Deflect (Active / Whenever his blindfold is on) - While blinded, Kruger can use his hand or staff to deflect a physical projectile from hitting him or someone/something within range of him. Does not work on spells, or anything magical and not physically in the air.
  34.
  35. Jié Zòu Meditation (Active) - If meditating with his back to a living tree, Kruger can go several weeks without food or water. He is unable to move or sleep, but he will heal at a much faster rate than normal for this time.
  36.
  37. Astral Projection (Active) - Kruger's spirit is able to leave it's mortal body. In this spirit form, he is invisible, and completely harmless to other living beings, but can pass through solid objects and go anywhere, while his physical body sits still, with it's back to a living tree. Used mostly for gathering information from places he can not reach. While projecting, Kruger may not return to his body unless he finds it in the physical world as his spirit. He is unable to defend himself in this state, and if he loses his body, he will die as his body loses nutrients.
  38.
  39. •Weaknesses•
  40. ———————
  41. Heavily armored targets, Technology (including simple tech, steam powered, clockwork, etc), Arcane magic, Ranged fighting, Fighting without his blindfold, and he sees little to no value in money or materialistic things.
  42.
  43. •Backstory•
  44. ———————
  45. Very little is known about Kruger’s backstory, even by him. To the best of anyones knowledge, he was dropped off with a tribe of nomads, with nothing but a blanket around his body as a mere infant. The group could not find his mother, and in the end decided to raise him as one of their own.
  46.
  47. The nomads were known as “The followers of Jié Zòu”, a group of monks, trained in combat by studying the rhythm of the earth. It is understood that nature has an inherent rhythm, and these nomads believe true enlightenment is when you embrace that rhythm. By doing so, they deprive themselves of sight, and in doing so are able to perceive the world around them through blind sense. These monks strive for what is good, and achieve an inner harmony by helping others, but only in small, simple ways. You can count on them to help a small village being terrorized by a hag, assist in dethroning a group of ruffians, or even seeking out food and water for a begger, but they will never get involved in ward unless A, it involves them directly, or B, the outcome threatens nature, or the world it’s self.
  48.
  49. As a child, Kruger was very boring. He did not like to play with other kids, he had no hobbies. He seemingly devoted his entire self to training. It paid off, too. He reached his advanced training very early on, and by age 14 he was training with the adults of his tribe.
  50.
  51. At age 25, he had reached a milestone. He had learned all he could be taught from training. The next step was to leave the tribe, and to go and see the world. Once he had experienced the world, years later he would return, and would be an elder of his tribe. Twelve years later, and he is still steadfast on his quest, taking in all earthly wisdom he is able to find.
  52.
  53. Now, to elaborate on some of his abilities and skills. He is trained in Hombu Aikido, which is a very gentle fighting style which uses the opponents strength and movement against them, rather than using your own. An example would be applying gentle pressure to someone’s wrist in just the right spot, causing them to break their grip on you, or swiping a charging attackers legs out from under them at the precise moment that makes them tumble to the ground.
  54.
  55. His blind sense makes him very perceptive, heightening his hearing, scent, and to a degree ‘sight’ (though not with his eyes, of course). This is mostly RP flavor. Being a guardian of nature, and given the views of the tribe, any form of technology is hated by him. Catapults, clockwork, and steam powered machinery are included. Due to his hatred of said things, he also does not understand them, so using them against him would put him at a disadvantage.
  56.
  57. As for pressure point fighting, he has studied the human body in ways kept secret from outsiders. After his many years of training, he can press down on parts of the body to make limbs fall asleep, cause severe discomfort for a short period of time, and things of the sort. About how pressure points usually work in writing. This is just how I will flavor combat.
