[6:00 PM] IcePickLobotomy: It takes you all far longer to get to the OUTRIDER Bays than it normal would, the ground buckles and shifts beneath your feet every few minutes, often sending you ricocheting off walls or eachother and into the ground. Thankfully you manage to make it to the gantries without anything worse than some bruises.(edited)
  2. [6:16 PM] IcePickLobotomy: The breifing starts as you get settled into the plugs, the helmets folding over your heads as and the HUDs flicker on. The littany of start information scrolls past your eyes while Walker starts to talk.
  3. [6:18 PM] IcePickLobotomy: "SONAR and Seismographic sensors have picked up a lot of activity just off the coast, we're not sure what's going on as it's off the scales but it's big. We're going to deploy you near the coastline and see what happens from there. Were evacuating as many of the refugees as we can, but a lot of the shelters are either already in use or were rendered unusable in the last attack, so be aware of a hightened level of civillian presence in the field."
  4. [6:19 PM] Arina: drums her fingers against the controls. "Ugh... this could get horrible."
  5. [6:21 PM] IcePickLobotomy: You feel the Units shift back as the cradles lock onto the launch rails.

  7. [A unkown pattern type, designated BLUE has been detected at the epicenter of tha activity. The first signal source, designated ALPHA, rates a 9.2 on the AW Scale. The 2nd, BETA, rates a 7.5. Excerise extreme caution. Colonel Klemnko has ordered the B3's to be loaded with the N2 and sortied immedatly as well. We only expect limited effectivness against entity ALPHA.]
  8. [6:21 PM] Robin: remains quiet, breathing deeply.
  9. [6:23 PM] Arina: takes slow, deep breaths. "Probability entity is hostile?"
  10. [6:24 PM] IcePickLobotomy: [Unkown.]
  11. [6:25 PM] Arina: "Well, here's hoping..."
  12. [6:26 PM] John: "Whatever it is, we'll take care of it."
  13. [6:27 PM] Mary: "Unless we missed something it..."
  14. [6:27 PM] IcePickLobotomy: [Initiating Launch.] A heartbeat later and you're slammed into the back of your seat, vision blacking out as the G-forces overwhelm you. And then you come to a sharp halt. It's dark out, the moon hidden behind thick clouds as a heavy sheet of rain pours down. Heliocopters and searchlights carve out blades of light against the darkness, many of them focusing on the waters just off the coast, which bubble and churn as massive waves lash at the shoreline
  15. [6:29 PM] Arina: moves out towards the beach, spear readied, dialing up her sensors to get as good a view as she can in this mess.

[6:32 PM] IcePickLobotomy: A half hour later, and the sea starts to boil, a brillant blue glow lights up beneath the sufrace, a moment later the water explodes, sending down a torrent of sea-water across the battlefield. And as the sea-spray dies down you can see a figure float out of the sea, search lights locking onto to the entity. It's not much larger than a Unit, and appears to be made of chalky white flesh. The body is a roughly feminine shape, but otherwise featureless. Where her face would be is a dark-grey metallic mask with 7 eye's staring out, in a row of 3 and one of 4. She is held aloft by a skeletal wing of blue light, and a jagged halo of the same color cronws her head. Static hisses and roars as distrotions ripple out from her.

  20. [6:35 PM] Arina: swallows heavily, and keys up her radio, thinking the message as hard as she can. "Hello."
  21. [6:36 PM] IcePickLobotomy: @Robin @Mary And through the static you can hear voices, woman's voices, muttering and speaking, though you cannot make out the words

  23. [6:37 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |You clad yourselves in the bones and flesh of my jailors. You make their strength your own. You are clever unlike any of my children before me, but is this your strength or your weakness?|
  24. [6:38 PM] IcePickLobotomy: The waters beneath her do not stop, still they bubble and churn.
  25. [6:38 PM] Arina: "We've survived. That's the best answer I can find."
  26. [6:38 PM] IcePickLobotomy: Her head turns to face Robin |You claim guardianship of the Guidestone. I will allow this, if you prove your strength is your own.|(edited)

  28. [6:40 PM] Mary: [We are all in this together Ma'am as someone is comming that neither of us wishes to fight ]
  29. [6:40 PM] Arina: nods. "How do you mean for us to prove that?"

Whatever it is is massive and dome-like the top already almost a hundred meters above the waterline with no sign of it stopping. |And I shall test all of you.   36. [6:45 PM] IcePickLobotomy: [SONAR is unable to ascertain the true extant of that structure, but it is at least 1 kilometer in radius.] Magi chimes in(edited)

  38. [6:47 PM] Arina: "There are a lot of people who may be caught in the crossfire of this test. I'd like us to keep our conflict away from them."
  39. [6:48 PM] IcePickLobotomy: The sphere comes to a stop, your HUDs highling that it's some 3 kilometers in diameter. And then the top of the structure begins to . . . melt away, along with the walls. You see the tops of trees, vines and flowers. Soon it's little more than a retaining wall to keep the ocean out, with a thick and thriving jungle held within.

  41. [6:51 PM] Arina: looks out at it, eyes wide.
  42. [6:52 PM] Robin: "Stop talking and just send her out!" Robin shouts, nerves shaking her voice.
  43. [6:52 PM] IcePickLobotomy: "Very well." She turns and serenly begins to float out to sea.
  44. [6:53 PM] Arina: "... Anyone you know, Robin?"
  45. [6:54 PM] Robin: "Someone I wish I could forget."
  46. [6:55 PM] Arina: "That doesn't narrow it down much."
  47. [6:56 PM] Mary: "Life is surviving , despite what the world throws at us," she whispers half to herself.
  48. [6:57 PM] IcePickLobotomy: That's when she comes flying out of the jungle, held aloft by blue skeletal wings. She glides over @Arina and @John heads and lands in front of @Mary. It looks human, but made of the same chalky-white flesh as Lilith was, with grey and red speckled carapace over her torso and head. But the face. . . You know that face anywhere. It's Robin's face.

  50. [6:59 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |Hello again. Did you really think we'd not meet again?| She says in a lilting parody of Robin's voice.

  52. [7:00 PM] Arina: "I... split personalities don't work that way!"
  53. [7:00 PM] Robin: "I hoped we wouldn't."

[7:02 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |I really must thank you Robin, if you hadn't freed Mother I'd still be without a body.| She rolls her neck |I have been waiting for this moment a long time, so I do hope you let me savor it.| She grins, pearlescent light teeth that wouldn't look out of place in a shark gleam in the searchlights

  58. [7:03 PM] Robin: "She... she would've got out anyway."
  59. [7:07 PM] Arina: "I mean eventually but I'm just missing basically all the context here..."

  61. [7:09 PM] Robin: "We needed help fighting that thing that's coming for us... She'll help if I pass."
  62. [7:09 PM] Mary: looks at her and a wavering beam extends from her as she stands up, the positron canon fiddling up her movement
  63. [7:09 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |You won't. You are all going to die.| She sing songs |Just like Mother and Father died. Becuase dear little Robin here is to-| She sighs and glances at Mary.
  64. [7:10 PM] Arina: takes a deep breath. "Well all right then."
  65. [7:10 PM] Arina: "Robin, who even is Sabrina? I mean other than your evil split personality."
  66. [7:11 PM] Robin: "Not now Arina," she turns to Sabrina, voice breaking, "SHUT UP!"

  70. [7:18 PM] Robin: "Stop! Get out!" Robin screams as her anger seems to manifest in her fist, the power growing. "Just die!" She throws a punch backed completely by AT, surging at Sabrina
  71. [7:18 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |And I am going to kill each and every one of you, and force Robin to,| She ducks out of the way of Robin's attack |watch, knowing this is her fault. That she wasn't good enough to save her friends. And then I will kill her.|
  72. [7:19 PM] Robin: "NO! NOT AGAIN!" Robin's voice is wavering and breaking.
  73. [7:23 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |You can't stop me Robin," She fires another burst into Mary's legs |You made me, and then you locked me away, forced me into a cage.| She snarles |You can't stop me Robin. I exist becuase you couldn't do what you needed to do.|(edited)
  74. [7:23 PM] Arina: 's Evangelion flexes its fist around the spear, as flame builds up around the spearhead. "Honestly, Robin? I just wanted to know what meaning this has for you so that I can get properly into CARVING HER FACE OPEN!"
  75. The rockets on the spearhead fire as she leaps, driving her forward and straight into Sabrina's back.
  76. [7:25 PM] IcePickLobotomy: @Arina you slam into a blue wall, stopping you dead in your tracks. |Oh and Arina, just who I was waiting for. So nice of you to show up.|
  77. [7:25 PM] Arina: hits the trigger and lets the rockets flare, shoving the spear deeper in.
  78. [7:27 PM] IcePickLobotomy: She spins and reaches out for Arina, who dances out of the way of her arms.
  79. [7:29 PM] Robin: "Don't... don't blame me. It had to be done, but you were supposed to leave!"
  80. [7:30 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |Wake up Robin! Wake up and smell the ashes. Take it in. Do you remember Robin? Do you? Or are you so much of a coward that you refuse to remember what you made me do?!|
  81. [7:31 PM] John: worldessly, John squeezes the trigger, letting loose a short stream of bullets towards his target
  82. [7:32 PM] Robin: "But I didn't, you did that!"
  83. [7:34 PM] IcePickLobotomy: She doesn't even bother responding and John's rounds simply splash off her body and the AT Field(edited)
  84. [7:35 PM] Arina: "So you want to keep on doing it? Just to punish her?"
  85. [7:38 PM] IcePickLobotomy: She wheels and slashes at Mary's head, nearly knocking the unit over. |She's going to suffer just like I did. She can't look away this time.|
  86. [7:39 PM] Arina: "Hurt yourself again so she feels it this time...?"
  87. [7:40 PM] IcePickLobotomy: |And what am I Robin? Tell me, what. Am. I.|
