How much time does this save?
Currently it is only confirmed to save maybe 4 minutes if executed perfectly.

Why does it only save 4 minutes?
So far, the only successful Barrier Skips had the iron boots equipped during the clip. Iron Boots have to be obtained after completing Hyrule 2. Getting into Ice Ring Isle requires Fire and Ice Arrows which can only be obtained after activating the KoRL text when resurfacing from Hyrule 2. Even if we were to get into the Ice Ring Isle loading zone without fire arrows, we would instantly get kicked out of the island even though there's no timer running. Getting into the island only works if it is thawed with a fire arrow. So until the skip is confirmed to work without iron boots, it will be assumed that they are necessary.

Why are you trying it without iron boots then?
Because I believe that Iron Boots are most likely not necessary to pull off Barrier Skip.

Can't you maybe do EMS, get the iron boots, then complete Tower of the Gods to get to Hyrule again?
No, Hyrule 1 crashes due to Link's animation set in this case.

How much time will be saved if we can do this without the iron boots?

Currently we do not have an accurate "estimation" on how precise it is since we don't quite know what requirements must be met for it to work consistently.

No, we currently do not have a consistent way of doing it.
