  1. [22:02] Retreating to the sidelines, Lyndis would take the time to activate her auto-repair systems. Draining the water and sand from her body as she does so. Her trench-coat is thrown to the side. Her combat suit being present beneath as she dusts the sand and grime from off of her.
  2.
  3. Why couldn't she adapt? She'd wonder. Was...the contract she signed with the Primordial son all for nothing?
  4. "..Tch."
  5.
  6. Lyndis closes her eyes. If she had lungs, perhaps now would be where she would take a deep breath. All she had to do? Was learn...grow...and adapt. Just like she always did. Her combat data is parsed. She...knows what to do next time...
  7.
  8. With Lyndis walking onto the battlefield, she would set her sights onto her next opponent rather quickly. The anger and emotion she had givne up so quickly would automatically flood back in an instant as she saw him. Still wearing her brother's hat. Mocking her...
  9. "..."
  10.
  11. No words would be said as she threw her hand outward. An extremely powerful gravity blast being sent his way as she simply stares at him with blank, silver hues. Hues that would soon furrow as she got back into her regular combat position
  12. "...You're hat."
  13.
  14. "You don't deserve to wear that...."
  15.
  16. Her words would be full of angst and frustration. It was...rather uncharacteristic of a Synthetic such as herself.
  17. "I'll be taking that, now."
  18.
  19. The negative energies around Lyndis begins to flourish. She would seem to have one goal and one goal only. She had to win this fight. It meant absolutely everything to her that she retrieve her brother's hat back...
  20.
  21. She had to be...perfect
  22. "Ready your blade..."
  23.
  24. Lyndis locks her feet onto the ground. Ready to dash forth at a moment's notice. The grass around the two would have been filled with bloodshed. The beautiful green leaves of Starfall kicking up around the two in a burst of wind as they fought this battle. This wasn't just Lyndis's duty anymore. This was...personal
  25.
  26. The sounds of war would have been quiet as she stood her opponent down. The only thing that could be heard was the light rustle and whistle of the wind that preceded them. A classic standoff...
  27.
  28. It's now...or never.
  29. (Lyndis)

  33.
  34. His gloved hand pulls the brim over his eyes. The other hand rested atop the wooden hilt of his katana. A weapon she knows fully well is broken, yet that doesn't disprove its worth.
  35.
  36. The author's body felt limber from his warm-ups, and as if to signify that, he'd waste no time sapping the heat from his surroundings. The gravity of the situation was palpable, but with Lyndis present, this was literal.
  37.
  38. He flashed a grin, nothing hostile but certainly smug.
  39.
  40. "I figured your name out, by the way. Lyndis, right? Man, I've been asking around because I hate fighting people whose names I don't know."
  41.
  42. His grip around his cap tightens as the synthetic flung a blast of gravity his way, only to jab his scabbard into the earth to prevent himself from getting blown away.
  43.
  44. "Alright! I get it." He draws his blade, Se-Young's eyes shone a brilliant sapphire. Vision. "If you want it, come get it!"
  45.
  46. Leaving the scabbard embedded in the ground, his hand now free to pull the trigger of his gauntlet -- The Gyeoul-I Jeonlyeong -- to summon a vertiable shroud of ice to pervade his frame. Sparks flew around his body as his mana circuits worked in double-time. His cloak shuddered and glowed the same color as his eyes, his hat transformed into a billow shroud of winter winds, his entire ensemble had TRANSFORMED. "Hen...Shin!"
  47.
  48. "I am Kim Se-Young, It's nice to meet you again...!"
  49. (Kim Se-young)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [22:19] {Won Dangerous RPB against Lyndis}
  53. [22:19] ** Kim Se-young has inflicted an injury upon Lyndis. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  54. [22:55] No matter how hard Lyndis may try. She just...couldn't succeed...
  55.
  56. Each and every blast from the Synthetic would have been ones of absolute fury. Her combat systems were at their maximum capacity. Each blast was done with precision and grace, each dodge and dash was done with pinpoint accuracy and retaliation. And yet...she just couldn't find the power within her to beat him..
  57.
  58. What was she doing wrong?
  59. "Tch...i'm gon...i'm gonna..."
  60.
  61. The negative energies around Lyndis would continue to fluctuate. Her core and circuits were...out of control. Each blast was powerful, yes. But missing the trademark accuracy that they might have used to have. It was...awful, to feel like this. To feel like that no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't surpass these type of magis in particular. No matter how many times she adapted and tried to gain the upper hand...it was all for not.
  62.
  63. These people? They were savages were they not? They could not come close to the power of Achyon. Lyndis was...perfect wasn't she? She had to be perfect. She had to make no mistakes...
  64.
  65. These thoughts and more would cross her mind as the Synthetic finds herself waning once again. Those 'emotions' of hers getting the better of her. She'd lunge herself at her opponent with a venomous rage. Trying to go for his neck as she attempted to sap the mana right out of him. She wanted so badly to just eliminate him. The frostbite enveloping her would only prove to slow her down...all she could do was....well, nothing.
  66. "Come here! I SAID COME HERE!!!"
  67.
  68. She'd swipe and claw her way forward. Each and evergy energy blast was one of pure ferocity. She'd begin using her gravity magic to pull him in, causing him immense pain. The energies that flowed through her body would begin to seethe. Each time she got close to her opponent, they'd feel the overwhelming sensation of their mana being completely drained from them. But...such a power was unrefined. Too much mana only just allowed Lyndis to...be set upon her downfall..
  69.
  70. All Lyndis could think about was taking that hat back. Savages like him did not deserve it. And no matter how hard she tried, she just...couldn't reach it in time. She couldn't...claim was right rightfully hers...
  71.
  72. Nails pierce Lyndis's right shoulder. But even the pain that would come from doing so would be negated. Her right shoulder and arm was out of commission. But...her left shoulder and arm? Was still healthy and ready for more..
  73.
  74. Even with her injury, she'd continue to fire. Until every last drop of mana was gone. It was...lucky for her that she nearly had an infinite resource of such mana. But her mechanical complications would get the better of her. As much as she wanted to continue fighting. As much as she just wanted to...rip the head off this person and take his mana for her own...
  75.
  76. She just...couldn't do it..
  77. "Gah...y-you...don't deserve to..wear that. You don't deserve it!!"
  78.
  79. Once again, more is fired. Energy blast upon energy blast upon energy blast. It...wasn't enough. The ice that plagued her body and stopped her systems. The water that flowed through her chassis..
  80.
  81. It just...wasn't enough..
  82.
  83. Lyndis finds time to retreat. Throwing a tree directly through her opponent using gravity mana. She darts into the forest in a silver shroud. As much as she wanted to keep fighting, she had to tend to her injuries..
  84.
  85. Next time? Kim won't be so lucky...
  86. (Lyndis)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [23:05] In his transformed state which the Gyeoul-I Jeonlyeong allowed for, his circuits were working overclocked on the gem that fueled its power. The wintery cloak shining sapphire that billowed behind him seemed to bend to his will, jutting out in sharp lances at calculated intervals.
  90.
  91. Machine cannot match the reactions of a disciplined Vision-caster.
  92.
  93. For each moment, lines of opportunity sparked in his peripherals, to which he'd not grin in anticipation, but narrow his eyes in retaliation.
  94.
  95. She was getting more and more aggressive, her movements too unpredictable to read accurately. In the end, he'd need to do what he does best: Dominate the Board.
  96.
  97. "Lyndis. You and your blasted soldiers have been brainwashed to believe the crucifixion of an innocent woman -- Nekra -- was the solution to your ersatz halcyon.
  98.
  99. I see how your people have reacted. I am torn. You might think you're fighting for your late brother's honor, but I see it: you have no love. There is no love here."
  100.
  101. Before Lyndis could parse these words, she'd be standing at the apex of his calculations. Inconspicuous puddles of water grew into stalwart pillars which trapped the synthetic in a cage like a rat to a trap. Blizzards closed in, but flecks of snow grew into needles which wittled away at her, giving him plenty of time to form the Nails.
  102.
  103. His fingers grew along the leylines only he could see, sending forth a 5-point pentagram to shut down the processes in her right arm. No matter how she struggled, her only recourse was escape.
  104.
  105. While she was still within earshot, he had to voice his disdain;
  106.
  107. "--Nekra's death was not fuelled by any sort of Love! Next time...Next time, I'll make sure you drill in your head just what exactly you're missing."
  108. (Kim Se-young)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [23:11] "Shut up...just SHUT UP!!!"
  112.
  113. It didn't seem Lyndis was done yet. She didn't care what he had to say. He was nothing but an ugly, unskilled savage to her. She didn't care what someone such as himself had to say. Maybe beforehand, when the Moxtli had not killed her brothers. Maybe then she would have stayed to listen. But no...not now?
  114.
  115. All Lyndis saw here was someone mocking her. Mocking her for being imperfect. Wearing her brother's hat like it was some sort of fashion accessory. And not the only memento that she had of the person that she had once 'loved.'
  116. "...Brainwashed? You want to say I am brainwashed? You have the gall to believe that a Synthetic such as myself would actually fall for such things?"
  117.
  118. "No. You are the one who is brainwashed. You are not worthy to wear that hat. You never will be. How dare you say that I did not love him..."
  119.
  120. Lyndis's brow furrows. Her mechanical body shaking and quaking with absolute and utter rage. It was enough to feel the energies radiating off of her. Enough...to make even a Synthetic like herself go mad..
  121. "...There has always been love. Do not talk as if you know who I am you disgusting savage."
  122.
  123. "Next time, i'll make sure to drill a mana bolt straight through your head. And then you will know what true pain is..."
  124.
  125. These would be her parting words. She...didn't have much else to say after. Learn, adapt...grow...
  126.
  127. Next time, she would win. Even if she had to disregard her values to do so...
  128. (Lyndis)
