Where are you Christmas Baking?

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting in the common area watching Connor be excited over his presents while drinking his hot chocolate in his comfy clothes. He'd been enjoying the holiday of going to church this morning after presents and watching all the festivities that come with it. "You know... I still have some things to give out..." He said, dropping the words casually and taking another sip of his hot chocolate.-
Covet: Kelsey was sitting on the couch curled up and comfy. Hearing Brad she turned her head to look at him, "What do you mean? I thought we were done with presents?" Kelsey asked him furrowing her brow. // Connor looked at Brad, "Really?! There's still more?"
Alexithymiaa: "Not done with all of the presents." He said with a grin, getting up from the couch and wandering down the hall toward his room. Picking up the awkwardly shaped and oversized gift for Connor, he hoisted it over his shoulder to rest there and then picked up the two large and badly wrapped presents for Kelsey before starting back down to the common area. "Just a few more."-
Covet: "But... I don't have anything else to give you." Kelsey said as he walked off to go get said gifts he spoke of. // "Oh my goodness!" Connor said, because his mom says that all the time. "It's like Dad loves us, Momma"
Alexithymiaa: "So what?" He asked her with a grin, setting the very large and weirdly covered object down in front of Connor. "This one is all yours, little man. Go ahead and open it up." He said, giving it a little roll closer to him because it's a BIG kid bike with no training wheels and cool flames and the whole cool thing.-
Covet: She looked at him and then looked at what he brought with him, watching Connor open up the gift he'd gotten from Brad. // Connor tore into the present before Brad could even finish that stament, then went about gawking at the bike. "Wow.....But where are the other wheels?" He asked staring at the back of the bike.
Alexithymiaa: "There are no other wheels, buddy. This is a big kid bike and you're going to learn how to ride it like a big kid without the extra wheels." He smiled, leaning down to look at him. "I'm going to teach you how to ride it."-
Covet: Kelsey felt her heart swoon because that is adorable. She looked at her boys and tried not to get a little choked up because she's an emotional blanket about sweet mushy stuffs. // Connor looked at it then grinned, "Cool, it looks like it can go fast." He said not grasping the concept of you have to make it go fast.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, it can go real fast and we'll practice and then you'll be zipping around. Sound good?" He asked him, reaching over to rustle his hair before pushing up to his feet and picking up the larger of Kelsey's two boxes and sitting down on the couch with it. "I think it might be Momma's turn."-
Covet: Kelsey looked at Brad as he picked up the gifts he got for Kelsey , she sat up and looked at him expectantly, "Well if you insist, then I guess it is my turn." // Connor was still staring at his bike because there's no way his mom's presents were cooler than his bike.
Alexithymiaa: -He carefully shifted the large box over onto her lap, folding his hands together as he watched her. "I insist." Covet: Kelsey took the box from him and opened up the box which was fairly heavy because those suckers actually are heavy and awkward as fuck to move. Tearing off the paper her eyes lit up and she grinned, "Oh my goodness!!! Bradley you didn't have to get me this, but thank you so much for getting me this, I love it." // Connor looked over and grinned, "It's even momma's favorite color too!"
Alexithymiaa: "Of course I did. And you know, most stores don't actually sell them in red. They're hard to find. I had to order it." He said with a nod, somewhat proud of himself for that before picking up the second box which was considerably smaller. It's the princess baking set she picked out like a million years ago.-
Covet: Kelsey opened up the next gift then laughed. "This is the greatest thing ever. Thank you hun." She said leaning over to give him a kiss. // Connor was over in the corner rolling his eyes and scrunching his face, before turning back to his bike to admire it and spin and touch the things.
Alexithymiaa: "You're welcome." He leaned in to return the kiss, grinning at her. "Every great baker needs great tools. And now you have great tools and stylish ones."-
Covet: She laughed again, "And with these great and amazing tools, I can make you all sorts of baked goods, not that I didn't already."
Alexithymiaa: "See, everyone wins!" He started to laugh, tossing his hands up into the air excitedly. "Are there New Years themed baked goods we can have?"-
Covet: "Not that I know of, but we can look, or we can make our own and do it as a tradition?" She said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Champagne flavored things?" He asked. "I know you can add alcohol to things and that's a thing people do. I don't know if anyone does that with champagne."-
Covet: "Oh that is a perfect idea!" Kelsey said with a smile. I'll have to start looking up recipes that we can do. What other things are New Years related?"
Alexithymiaa: "Uhhhh...." He paused, trying to think. "Fancy things like lobster? And noise makers? Sparkly stuff?"-
Covet: "Lobster?" Kelsey said with a laugh. "I can make sparkly things, they make eddible sparkles."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know, that used to be a thing one of my friends did with his family. They had lobster dinners on New Years because it brought in the new year being fancy. I don't know, but sparkly stuff is a good idea."-
Covet: "Want to know something funny? Lobster used to be for poor people waaaaaay back in the day. Then somehow it became a fancy thing." Kelsey told him leaning over on him.
Alexithymiaa: "That is pretty funny. A lot of things have changed from how they used to be. Burping used to be a sign of being satisfied with your meal and now it's just considered rude." He swung his arm around her shoulders, watching Connor with his gifts.-
