  1. You have emoted: Gurashi stares off blankly after he's settled on the ground, as if listening to something before looking at Tridemon again, tilting his head.
  2.
  3. You think to yourself: ** ... brief flickering of softer surfaces ... **.
  4.
  5. Bizirik, the leothin stretches languidly.
  6.
  7. Tridemon pats Bizirik, the leothin in a friendly manner.
  8.
  9. You think to yourself: ** ... trying to envision the city, being repaired? vague outlines of people with stones and using magic - how is the city ...? **.
  10.
  11. You tilt your head curiously at Tridemon.
  12.
  13. You have emoted: Gurashi sets his hands in his lap, staring off dazedly after he's wondered his thought.
  14.
  15. The depths of the dark of night herald a new beginning, and a new chance to make the world a little better.
  16. It is now the 21st of Kiani, 561 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  17. There are 14 days until the New Moon
  18.
  19. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "The city is in need of repair, yes. It'll be done by hard work, rather than magic."
  20.
  21. You have emoted: Gurashi's attention quickly flits back to Tridemon as you speak. He tilts his head.
  22.
  23. You think to yourself: ** ... himself, carrying a brick ? ... an inkling to help ... **.
  24.
  25. You stare at Tridemon, eyes wide.
  26.
  27. You think to yourself: ** ... a growing sense of eagerness - fix .. **.
  28.
  29. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Heh. No. No, adventurers are largely unsuited for large-scale construction jobs. We have workmen and architects for that kind of thing."
  30.
  31. You have emoted: Gurashi huffs very softly, unable to mask his disappointment at being turned down from a chore.
  32.
  33. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  34.
  35. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Well."
  36.
  37. You glance askance at Tridemon.
  38.
  39. You tilt your head curiously at Tridemon.
  40. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Actually, there's just been a development over the city aether."
  41.
  42. You think to yourself: ** .... curiosity ... **.
  43.
  44. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Apparently we're being called on to push paths through the debris."
  45.
  46. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Want to come and see about that?"
  47.
  48. You have emoted: Gurashi perks up a little further, nodding a few times as he pushes his hands to the floor, straining to get himself upright.
  49.
  50. You think to yourself: ** ... leaving? .... **.
  51.
  52. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "Get up so he can ride you."
  53.
  54. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, lolling its head to look at Gurashi. It sits up and wanders over, letting him loop his arms over the leothin's neck, aiding him to his feet.
  55.
  56. You think to yourself: ** ..... unease .... **.
  57.
  58. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I'm not sure that there'll be much debris left to clear if we wait much longer."
  59.
  60. You have emoted: Gurashi waves his hand at Tridemon.
  61.
  62. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  63.
  64. Tridemon turns towards the east and steps forward, instantly collapsing into a torrent of water that rushes outwards with a thunderous crash of water.
  65.
  66. You get up off an iridescent silk-padded chair.
  67.
  68. A pathway from the beach.
  69. This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. Transitioning between the violet sands of the beach, a pathway leads up to soil tinted by the sand, and finally into firmer ground. Rising up from the sandy earth and the firmer soil to the north are an array of jewel-hued bamboo stalks and plants, all of which feature sparkling, crystalline veins of the same substance and color as the beach to the south. The plants are smaller and shorter to the south, and growing larger and taller up to the north until they dominate the skyline simply by being dozens of feet tall. Within the bamboo thickets, a rainbow of sparkling jewel-toned leaves constantly fall, constantly regrow, leaving the ground that is not the path a sparkling riot of marvellous color. At the end of the path is a sturdy and polished wooden door, set into the wall of a house whose walls- painted a bright, cherry red- rise a story or two above the ground, but nowhere near to the top of the surrounding jewel-toned bamboos.
  70. You see exits leading east, south, and in (open door).
  71.
  72. (Glomdoring): Rancoura (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "As a note, a Rite of Awakening shall be occurring after the next timequake has taken place for any who wish to observe."
  73.
  74. (Glomdoring): Xenthos (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "I will attend if I am present."
  75.
  76. (Glomdoring): Evette (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "As will I."
  77.
  78. (Glomdoring): Rancoura (from the Realm of the Silent) says, "Our gratitude, fel'Greev and Lady Scourge."
  79.
  80. (Glomdoring): Mendacium (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "My apologies but I am unfamiliar with what the Rite entails. I will attend if I am present as well but I am curious as to what the Rite is."
  81.
  82. (Glomdoring): Rancoura (from the Realm of the Silent) says, "Rites of Awakening are rituals which mark the progress of a Proselyte within the Augural Covenant, during which they receive the blessings of the Hallowed Ones and speak an oath for their tah'vrai."
  83.
  84. (Glomdoring): Rancoura (from the Realm of the Silent) says, "The Rites are of great spiritual significance to an Augur."
  85.
  86. At Rancoura's words, the briefest hint, a flutter, of energy dancers across your perception of the world, as if the Wyrd itself were acknowledging her words.
  87.
  88. You have emoted: Gurashi hobbles alongside Bizirik, brow furrowed as he makes his way through the forest pathway, approaching the beach. Suddenly, he stops dead before entering the open expanse.
  89.
  90. (Glomdoring): Mendacium (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "Interesting, I will gladly attend such an honourable rite."
  91.
  92. You think to yourself: ** .... dread .... **.
  93.
  94. Bizirik, the leothin shakes its entire body out, looking up at its companion, snorting and snuffling curiously at the man.
  95.
  96. (Glomdoring): Rancoura (from the Realm of the Silent) says, "You shall be most welcome, as are all of the Wyrd."
  97.
  98. You think to yourself: *an intense desire to attend - leave, go, see friends--*.
  99.
  100. You think to yourself: ** -stay- **.
  101.
  102. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  103.
  104. You have emoted: Gurashi looks down at his legs, surprised they don't seem to want to respond to his desire to move.
  105.
  106. You think to yourself: *the Glomdoring waits, yes - have to go see the Rite.... whose rite...?*.
  107.
  108. You think to yourself: ** -stay- **.
  109.
  110. You think to yourself: **a shock of fear - open, danger... **.
  111.
  112. You stare blankly into space.
  113.
  114. Bizirik, the leothin snuffles softly, leaning up and nudging at Gurashi's shoulder. He lets out a little noise of surprise, clinging to the leothin again and staring miserably at the way out.
  115.
  116. Great waves crash over one another as they pour in from the south, finally swirling together before solidifying into Tridemon.
  117.
  118. Tridemon tilts his head curiously at you.
  119.
  120. You think to yourself: ** ...... **.
  121.
  122. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "The debris has been cleared, by and large. Reopening blocked entryways and paths will have to wait for experts."
  123.
  124. You have emoted: Gurashi looks at Tridemon suddenly, hearing the lucidian enter. He opens his mouth in surprise, as if expecting to say something, but nothing happens. He blinks.
  125.
  126. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  127.
  128. You think to yourself: ** ... a lingering sense of dread, replaced with apology **.
  129.
  130. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, sitting down with a huff.
  131.
  132. Your vision blurs, as if suddenly, the world were fraying at its edges. When you blink next, Bizirik is wrapped tightly in a cocoon, unseeable beneath the silken threads. You blink again and can plainly see that you're standing in an immense web, and the progenitor of the cocoon is creeping slowly toward you.
  133.
  134. Just as quickly as the vision appeared, it dissolves like smoke, shadows fading back to their original corners of the beachy pathway.
  135.
  136. You think to yourself: ** suddenly - absolute, utter terror **.
  137.
  138. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "It's alright, we-."
  139.
  140. Tridemon frowns suddenly, watching you carefully, looking quite concerned.
  141.
  142. You have emoted: The color leaves Gurashi's face, and he looks for a moment to Bizirik, concerned, moving for her -- promptly he scrambles back, so hard and so fast he trips over himself and goes careening into the nearest thicket of bamboo, letting out a gasp.
  143.
  144. You blink again and where Tridemon once stood is a sucked-dry husk, vaguely resembling your friend for all that's left. The corpse's head lulls forward, and you see two enormous black widows feasting on him from behind, their eight eyes locking with yours.
  145.
  146. You think to yourself: ** the terror only grows - panic - n O STOP it PLEASE **.
  147.
  148. Tridemon watches you scrambling back, the divisions between the opal, amber, and emerald segments of his left eye growing sharper as he looks around for... what?
  149.
  150. When next you blink, Tridemon is whole and normal, and the phantom vision has dissolved again into mere shadows.
  151.
  152. Tridemon stretches out his hand, intently focused as he murmurs ancient words of power. Sprays of ocean mist and surges of seawater accompany the ascent of a towering glacier as it rises to dominate the area at his behest.
  153.
  154. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a soft little grumble, lowering its head, tail sweeping back and forth.
  155.
  156. Tridemon scans the surroundings, moving to keep one hand on the glacier he's summoned up.
  157.
  158. You think to yourself: ** a volley of emotion, bouncing between confusion and fear and guilt - too many synapses - too-- **.
  159.
  160. You think to yourself: ** -- an audible little pop -- **.
  161.
  162. You have emoted: Gurashi's shoulders slacken a bit, though he continues to huddle near the ground, petrified, staring up at Tridemon in disbelief as whatever horrid vision he's seen comes to pass.
  163.
  164. Tridemon tilts his head, moving away from the glacier and kneeling down next to you. "... Hello? Can you talk?"
  165.
  166. You think to yourself: ** ...... a strange sensation, like floating in numbness .... **.
  167.
  168. You have emoted: Gurashi follows Tridemon with his eyes, furrowing his brow in confusion, looking you up and down. A bit of the terror ebbs away, replaced with whatever shock comes after.
  169.
  170. Tridemon reaches down to touch you on the shoulder. "Hey. I'm here."
  171.
  172. Bizirik, the leothin tilts her head curiously.
  173.
  174. You think to yourself: ** a wash of anticipation at the touch - bracing for the worst **.
  175.
  176. The faintest hint of roses lingers on the air, sweet and delicate and enticing.
  177.
  178. Bizirik, the leothin lifts its head, scenting the air lightly...
  179.
  180. You have emoted: Gurashi flinches, attention quickly drawing away from Tridemon's face to scan the clearing, his movements stiff and effortful.
  181.
  182. You think to yourself: ** ... roses .... **.
  183.
  184. Tridemon straightens up, frowning. "... He's gone non-verbal. He can barely walk on his own. He's just confronted the truth of who he was and it was a shock to his very soul."
  185.
  186. You shake your head.
  187.
  188. You have emoted: Gurashi's expression twists a little, and he reaches up, wiping shakily at his eyes, grabbing hurriedly at Tridemon's arm. He shakes his head several times, mortified.
  189.
  190. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "My kindnesses are my own, and Your reasons are Yours."
  191.
  192. Tridemon shakes his head, falling silent again for the moment.
  193.
  194. You shake your head.
  195.
  196. Tridemon rests his hands upon you, solemnly speaking, "May the purest waters cleanse your soul and may the Light fortify it against the darkness." Hearing the sound of water, a wave of emotion rushes through the touch of Tridemon's hands, filling you with strength and hope.
  197.
  198. You have emoted: Gurashi gives Tridemon's arm a hard tug, as hard as he can muster, hurriedly shaking his head. Again he looks momentarily bewildered, then lets out another little gasp as he is sanctified, for a split second looking his old energetic self as disbelief and panic overtakes him. He gives Tridemon a furious shake even as the lucidian speaks, as if trying to make him stop talking.
  199.
  200. (clan): You say, "Gurashi's like."
  201. (clan): You say, ""AHHHH SHUT UP *shakeshakeshake*"."
  202. (clan): You say, "Not out of discomfort but because he's scared She'll get mad ;~;."
  203.
  204. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "For an insult, I will suffer the consequences. But for unearned ire, I will trust in my Lady to protect me."
  205.
  206. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a strangled noise, the fight going out of him, or perhaps spent from his sudden energetic burst of panic. He clings to Tridemon's arm still, catching his breath, caught up by the effort.
  207.
  208. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, looking unworried.
  209.
  210. You think to yourself: ** worry - worry for you, worry for Bizirik - a continued sense of all-encompassing panic **.
  211.
  212. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Do you need to go back inside?"
  213.
  214. You have emoted: Gurashi doesn't answer, squeezing Tridemon's arm lightly, gaze finally settled on a stalk of bamboo across the pathway.
  215.
  216. With a playful chirr, Bizirik turns sharply and scampers off to the in.
  217.
  218. You think to yourself: ** ...... guilt .... **.
  219.
  220. You follow Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters in to A welcoming foyer.
  221.
  222. You think to yourself: ** .... confusion .... **.
  223.
  224. You think to yourself: ** .... why is this -still- happening .... **.
  225.
  226. Tridemon sits himself down on a dark blue crystalline couch and makes himself comfortable.
  227.
  228. You have emoted: Gurashi shuffles slowly after Tridemon, glancing over his shoulder at every corner.
  229.
  230. You have emoted: Gurashi doesn't even seem to have noticed Tridemon has sat himself down, nervously peering at the room to the west, then towards the stairs, hands clenched together before his heart.
  231.
  232. >> Tridemon POV <<
  233. The soft, light caress of lips upon your cheek alert you to the soft, airy voice that whispers, only to
  234. you, "How fascinating mortalkind is. You would stand tall against the Daughter of Roses for the
  235. betrayal of your confidant." The air lightens, and the kiss upon your cheek fades.
  236.
  237. Tridemon blinks.
  238.
  239. Tridemon lifts a hand to peer at the wyrden flames. "... huh."
  240.
  241. You have emoted: Gurashi's attention slowly drifts to Tridemon, blinking slowly in disbelief.
  242.
  243. You think to yourself: ** ..... She is not mad at him ....? **.
  244.
  245. You think to yourself: ** ....... -relief - ..... **.
  246.
  247. You think to yourself: ** .... is still mad at .... **.
  248.
  249. You have emoted: Gurashi continues to watch Tridemon curiously, transfixed by the favor's appearance. He looks down to his own throat instinctively, as if expecting to see the phantasmal blades reappear again.
  250.
  251. You think to yourself: ** a strange wash of static and pin-prickling - trying to parse through what's happened and what is happening **.
  252.
  253. You think to yourself: ** ... fix - fix it ... **.
  254.
  255. You think to yourself: ** .... is something to fix ? **.
  256.
  257. You have emoted: Gurashi risks a breath, then sinks to sit on the opposite couch, silently bowing his head, pressing his hands tightly together in his lap.
  258.
  259. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a tiny snort, wandering over to settle near Gurashi, resting its head gently on the very end of the seated man's knees, tail slapping the ground once.
