- It’s Sunday morning. The light outside bleeds through the window shutters as a sign to wake up and start the day.
- You groggily awaken to the sight of your alarm clock which reads 6:58 A.M. Instinctively, you reach out with an arm and push the snooze button.
- After reaching for it, you grasp your charged phone and check for any texts. There are none.
- Sighing, you slowly get up from bed and walk into the bathroom. A rugged figure reflects from the mirror at you.
- One shower and a shave later, you decide to start the day by getting groceries. First order of business is to make a quick and easy breakfast.
- A cup of coffee, mixed with a decent brew of creamer and sweetener with a side of two slices of toast seemed to be the most attractive meal at the moment.
- You pop the loaves of bread into the toaster and set it to one minute on a medium setting for the mildly crisp taste. However, no toast should be eaten without a healthy dose of jam.
- Striding over to the fridge, you grab a jar of purple grape jam. As if on cue, the toaster pops the crisp bread out of its holder.
- A few minutes go by and you eventually finish what you prepared.
- The house was dimly lit from the inside so you go to open the curtains. Sunlight warms your body as you open the blinds
- As you head to your bedroom for your clothes, it seems that your favorite clothes are already set on the bed for you.
- Smiling to yourself, you jovially put them on and set out for groceries.
- While driving in your modest car, you don’t spot anything out of the ordinary. Since it’s rather early, there seems to be no one up and about. In fact, it is rather too quiet.
- This scenery, although warm and sunny, contrasted deeply with the eerie silence. You swear you could see someone in the distance.
- As you arrive to the local supermarket, you find the parking lot empty. Upon first glance there seems to be no one around. You park closest to the market entrance and find a cart already near your car. You decide to pick that one and casually roll the cart through the lot and into the store
- You pat your pockets for a grocery list and realize that you forgot to make one this morning. You groan and reactively put your palm to your face. Disappointed, you impromptu a list for easy items to remember.
- Once again on cue, you look down and see a list with all the items that you’ve already thought up and more.
- Luckily as you finish, you go to the self-check section of the store and unload all the items to be scanned.
- It still seems weird that there is no one around even at this hour. You look at your phone and check the time. It’s 9:34 A.M.
- Oh well.
- As you get into the car, you decide to listen to the radio for once. You tune into to your usual channel 102.4 FM radio. The spokesperson claims that the day will be very cheerful. There’s a little bit of garbled static on the channel and you can’t really hear the next words as your car drowns out most of it. The channel returns to its clear connection immediately after, so you conjure that it was just the airwaves interfering.
- When you get home, you unload all the groceries from your car.
- Your front door was already open, as if it were inviting you to come in.
- After tidying up, you watch the news on your television. You catch the bottom scrolling text of the screen. Nodding to yourself, you wonder if this is all a dream. You slowly open your eyes and come back to your senses.
- You shut off the television after observing for future forecasts and carefully listening to recent news updates.
- Perhaps doing some chores around the house wouldn’t hurt.
- An hour later, you get bored and decide to go on ShoTube to watch some funny videos but not before you check your comment feed on Thitter.
- As the sun begins to dip behind the horizon, you task yourself with making a dinner. You ponder several thoughts. You decide to make a nice panini sandwich.
- Feeling tired for the day, you retire for the night.
- As you slip into your nightgown, you hear a soft whisper in your mind:
- “Goodnight Master!”
