Talia's Diary #2

I have arrived safely in Cairo, and after a lengthy screening process was allowed inside.

I made my way to the college's of magic as quickly as possible. They were, somewhat to my surprise, still open and operating. No hall in the place was without a guard bearing the crest of the Fairy King which seemed to attract worried glances from the students and faculty as they made their way about. I am most certain that Noa is looking for possible subterfuge from within the school. Indeed, if there is any group left that could pose any sort of threat to him outside of ourselves in this part of the world, I would imagine it would come from within these old halls.

The stories do not do the school justice. The halls are grand, and the schools of magic well represented and respected, bar necromatic magics of course. They even have a special section for those honing the mental powers, though their faculty seems to be short staffed now. Though my power is divine, praise Osiris in his holy name, I have great admiration for those who spend their lives in the pursuit of his gift he gave the world so long ago. Were our matters not so pressing, I am sure I could spend time sitting down with each and every student and teacher here and bring into their lives the light of Osiris.

Still, it is their library I seek, and not surprisingly I have found out many of the books have been moved since the occupation. Staff doesn't seem keen to hint at whether the school themselves hid them, or Noa's men took them, and I don't plan to ask least I give away myself. Still, I will find them.
