Shiki Teaches Minori

"Okay Minoricchi, this is a lot of responsiblity, ya know?" Shiki said to the tiny girl, who was busy having fun flipping her phone from open to closed.

Minori had wanted a phone of her own one day after watching Shiki use hers. It had taken some pleading with Yozakura, but she finally relented after a non-stop assault of pleading from both Shiki and Minori. The four girls had decided to pool some funds together to get the hamster girl a flip phone for her birthday, and now it was the day after and she had managed to come down from the sugar high she'd reached yesterday. Since she was the one most experienced with a phone, Shiki was in charge of teaching Minori how to use hers.

Though that seemed like a tall task now, since she was starting to drive Shiki up the wall with her careless behavior. Frustrated, Shiki snatched the phone out of Minori's hand, causing her to puff out her cheeks in frustration of her own.
"Minoricchiiiiii!" Shiki whined, "This was expensive! You don't want to break it after we spent so much on it!"
Minori seemed somewhat saddened by Shiki's words, seemingly understanding the danger she had put her phone in. "Uhm...I'm sorry Shiki," the girl muttered, bringing her eyes down to the floor.

Sighing, Shiki brought one of her hands up to pat the girl on her head. "It's fine, Minoricchi, it ain't broken." Minori perked up at her words, her boundless energy returning.
"So, um, how does Minori use the phone!?" she practically screamed, ready for her crash course in phone use. Feeling some of Minori's energy rub off on her, Shiki brought out her own phone, starting from the basics of phone operation.

"So Minoricchi, you already seem ta be a pro at this, but you just flip open your phone," she said, cutting herself off to demonstrate, "like this!" Shiki held up her open flip phone for Minori to see, who followed her steps and opened up her phone similarly.
"Uhm, like that?"
"Fer shuh!"
Minori perked up immensely at Shiki's confirmation, practically bouncing off the walls again. Trying to keep the girl's attention, Shiki quickly moved on to the next part of her lesson.
"Now, to make phone calls! There should be a little button like," she said, finding it on her phone, "this! And you just press it to open up your caller thingie."
Holding her keypad and screen towards Minori, Shiki kept her finger on the button she had pressed to bring up her keypad so that Minori had a reference. The hamster girl found the button on her own phone after a short search, pressing it.
"Minori did it!"
"Good job, Minoricchi! Yer bound to be a pro, fer shuh!"

Moving to the next part of her lesson, Shiki entered Minori's phone number and called it, waiting for her phone to ring. It suddenly started to vibrate, frightening the hamster girl. "Uwahhh! Minori broke it!"
Reassuring her, Shiki demonstrated to her how to answer. Minori followed her instructions and held the phone up to her ear, waiting for Shiki to start talking.
"Can ya hear me, Minoricchi?"
"Wooooooow, I can hear you through the phone Shiki!" The girl started to bounce up and down in place, excited by new opportunities that her phone was bringing her. Now she could talk to Shiki whenever she wanted!

Now, for the final lesson, Shiki was going to teach her how to text. "Play close attention Minoricchi." Typing out a little message, she hit 'Send' and waited for Minori's phone to receive it. The message arrived with a tiny buzz, and Minori's eyes were quickly glued to the phone screen, scanning through the text.
"Uhmmmmmmm...Shiki, what does all this stuff mean?"
With a bit of a blush forming on her face, since she realized that she'd written that message with all of her usual texting habits and lingo, which would be lost on the shortstack, Shiki started to explain.
"Well, that word there? 'LOL'? That means 'laughing out loud'. Use it when something's really funny! And that one, 'OMG'? Means 'oh my gosh'. Use it like...well, like you'd use 'oh my gosh' IRL. Oh, and 'IRL' means 'in real life'."
Minori stared at her, taking in the information. Shiki was worried that she'd overloaded the tiny girl, since she just stood there and looked at her for the longest time. Suddenly, Minori burst into action, tapping on her phone to respond to Shiki's message. It came through with a tiny 'ding' from Shiki's phone, and she turned her eyes to read the message.

The message was a nearly incomprehensible mess, consisting of acronyms that she didn't know what they meant and a variety of numbers and symbols. "h1 sh1k1!!!111!!!Im messuging you not IRL RN!11!!!!!!! lololololololololololol" It just continued from there.
Shiki realized that Minori had been giggling at her exasperated expression, trying her best not to break out into full-on laughter. When Shiki looked up at Minori's face, she finally broke down into laughter, bouncing away and out of the room. "Thanks Shiki!!! I'm gonna go have fun with my phone now!!!"

Shiki could just stare as the tiny girl skipped away, realizing the monster that she had just unleashed onto the world. Or at least, onto her own cell phone.
